View Full Version : [Discussion] Compilation of stuff stolen from your ride!
danielburgess 27-02-2006, 01:38 PM Hi,
I've never really been bothered by this, even though I kept reading topics and articles that constantly haunt the sgbikes forums, it seems that bikers stealing from other bikers is rampant.
My incident happened at plaza singapura. Partially it was my fault as I went there shopping with my girl friend and the idea of lugging shopping and helmet was not a good idea to me, so I left my "smelly, scratched-up, and practically messed-up" GPR helmet on my Gilera DNA 180. I came back to find my alarm light flashing, which means someone activated the alarm, which means someone shook my bike quite violently to get the helmet.
It was not the idea of my helmet getting stolen that pissed me off, I got so many at home(I'm an impulse buyer). It was the idea that I had to go back to bukit timah, and get a helmet for her. Even though there was a bike next to me with a helmet, I just cannot lower myself to their level. Come on man, a helmet is what? $20 cheapest? If you can afford to ride, you should be able to pay for a helmet, and in some cases, petrol...
Anyway, at least it was only a helmet, not my GPR zorst or autoguage voltmeter.
Cheers...

Mine was also a FF helmet which was worn out and smelly which was stolen at the carpark at Clarke Quay. My other lousy helmet without visor which was strapped at the rear seat with a net, was left untouched. :sian:

if the threadstarter bike is original paintwork, thats the main reason y his fairing was stolen. the fairing from ah boy is just green in color with no stickers. its very hard to make the original stickers cos i did try to make it last time (cos another mutherfarker also stole my sp right middle fairing while my bike was covered in mscp).

The only way to prevent is to fix an alarm ultra sensitive 1. and cover yr bike and activate the alarm! Thing this is the only best idea to deter them lah, but if he is those cheapo desperado......no use! haha

bro.. jus to remind u if u have a ultra sensitive alarm, covering ur bike wit bike cover when wind blow will trigger.. and actually covering of bike i don reli recommend cos my house downstair got one black bird cover liaoz that day rainin very heavily and guess wat?? the bird went sleeping on the floor... main stand somemore ar...
one more thing to add on... even if u have the most advance equipment, u will never stop a persistance thief frm stealin... there is no absolute prevention.. so bear in mind.. it doesn't mean that if u watch crime watch, it can prevent u frm being rob... jus pray lor..
so i suggest buying a alarm is enough... no offence dude.. personal opinion...

spraying his fairing to white colour(originally is red base with black wings) but now the whole is white in colour with a centre piece fairing replaced...The bike is
parked at Jurong West St 81 , Blk817 ... The group of india guys always go out
in a group during late night 1 to 2 plus... Could the piece of fairing be yours ??
You have no idea where this guy got his fairings from and you shouldn't post such things. Think kinda of dumbarse action can result in a totally innocent persons bike being vandalized through an assumption alone based on coincidence.
Think before you type!
Axxis 17-04-2006, 03:16 PM I'm wondering what the general view of this action is.
I've had a number of cashcards stolen due to my forgetful nature.
However when I commented to a friend he said it's like leaving a $10 note on my seat.
If this is the case is it any worse to steal a barpad that's not locktied down?
Or a headlight from a KTM that is connected with the stock 2 rubber mounts?
Or fairings that can be removed with 2 or 3 screws?
Where do we draw the line?
I'm getting really tempted to set a "trap" one of these days so I can release some built up tension.

Here is what I encountered.
Parked my bike properly and finish putting on my bike cover.
Took a look around the bikes beside me and saw this old Ah pek bike with the key dangling in the ignition. A cashcard was also attached to the key.
It was just there staring at me.
A few thoughts were in my mind,
1) Check the cardcard value?
2) Just take the cash card and walk off?
3) Just leave the keys and cash card in the ignition?
4) Help the owner hide his keys and cashcard?
I was standing there dazed with these thoughts.
In the end, I hide the whole bunch of keys and Cashcard in the bike and walked off.
How would u react if you were there?
Axxis 17-04-2006, 04:32 PM I've seen this once before also in my carpark.
I removed the keys and card and placed them in a more hidden spot and hoped the owner would realize.
I've also returned to my bike to find the card hidden carefully from view before.
Thanks to that kind soul!
Caramon 17-04-2006, 04:34 PM i've lost no less than 6 cash cards in the past years that i've been riding... even to the point of having it stolen at my own MSCP.... but i blame it on myself cos i always forgot to take the cash card out.
it's as bad as taking a handphone that someone left in the public toilet, taking the coupon on the next bike tats w/o license plate nbr written on it, stealing s4 brake calipers or even a whole bike in Malaysia. IT IS STEALING. but the difference is: we are careless as to leave a small item unattended.
for cash card, we just have to be more careful lor.......

The word "dumbarse" is it referring to me ?? If yes I would like to have a meet up with you as I'm only trying to help and in return I've been insulted by you !!! No
point scolding people like a hero in the net...Come out and talk...
S|anzZ 17-04-2006, 07:18 PM i oso keep 4get to take out in the past yrs end up keep get stolen.. the best idea i can tink of is not to top too much amount in the cash card..example i top $2 everytime(FYI petrol kiosk can top any amount)..so even when the cashcard is lost..max i lost is $4..compare to a $20 card..i find at least not so heart pain rite?
Tyrian 17-04-2006, 07:47 PM i would juz ignore and pretend the keys dun exist in the first place..
so that the next person who see it will ignore the way like i do..
Engine 17-04-2006, 08:19 PM I think the solution is to get one of those cashcard reminders where there will be a beeping sound if you park your bike without taking out your cashcard.
man oh man.... i smell smoke raising...
Our Mr oldtree998 is helpful to post possible info here and i believe its of no harm... trying to deter and raise alert on theft to help fellow bikers bro here... protective towards our own biker's belonging...
Axxis, i also agree on wat u say regarding on innocent person's bike being vandalized through an assumption alone based on coincidence.. here u r being protective to also our fellow bikers bro cos of accidental vandalism of innocent bikers would reli be bad...
pardon mi guys..... i mean.. both of u do make a point... its jus that posting up on the net reli have no "tone" in speech and therefore, words which maybe meant in a joking manner become very abusive if being misread... hope u ppl here noe wat im tryin to picture here... peace guys.... don let this kinda side issue become a hindrance to our brothership with the passion on riding...
cheers bro..

danielburgess 17-04-2006, 09:34 PM I just think what ever I do now, will come back to haunt me, last time it happened, saw a cash card, with about $35 value. I wrote him a note, "your cash card is wrapped in the cloth". And placed the slip of paper in his IU unit, hope he got it back...
Cheers
ahnan79 18-04-2006, 02:57 AM What I do is to leave the transparent cover open whenever my Cashcard is in it (Weather permits, of course). Hence, when you turn your bike off, you are bound to notice your card that is still in the IU.
Hope this helps.
ViciousKitty74 18-04-2006, 08:28 AM Hmmm....I used to punch a hole in the cash card.
Use a ribbon to tie another card size photo to the cash card so that photo is forever dangling in front of me whenever I have a cash card inserted into my IU.

I tried this several times but that cover keeps falling back into place that in the end when I stop my bike, I still forget to take the cashcard out. Luckily now my IU is under my seat. Never forget to put the IU unit back under my rear seat once I parked my bike. Even if I forget to take out my cashcard, it is OK cos it is out of sight...
ViciousKitty74 19-04-2006, 09:01 AM Like how all these nice gents was discussing and adjusting the IU into the back seat of a brand new R1?
ViciousKitty74 19-04-2006, 09:05 AM I find that hiding the keys sometimes dont really work as well for those forgetful riders.
Me, I rather leave my namecard on the bike to get the rider to call me the moment they got to their bike.
As yet, I have not tried to remove a cashcard from a bike. Looking thru here, I guess I should have...eg.
There was one time, I saw the bike next to me with the cashcard inserted. I didnt know whether to take it out and hide it or take it away and leave my name card.
Cos the moment, I try to lift that card, I could be accused of stealing that cashcard.
Good thing is, the ah pek rider was seen quickly walking towards the bike and my direction and he smiled at me before he removed his card. (I can only hope it really is his bike.)
All riders!! I've lost my cashcard countless times and felt frustated with my forgetfullness every single time it happens. There was once i even rushed out of a cinema in the middle of a tense moment of a show just to retrieve my cashcard. But ended up cursing n swearing on my way back to my seat.
So finally.. on one bright and sunny morning. I was just sitting around n thinking about all my stolen cashcards when a brilliant(at least for me) idea came up.
This is my suggestion...
Buy those coiled lanyards normally sold at bookstores. Put one end of the lanyard(the ring end) onto ur bike keys/ key pouch etc. When you ride and have to put in ur cashcard into the IU, attached the other end(the clip end) onto the IU cover. That way, one end will be on the key and the other on the IU as long as u are riding. When u reach ur destination, as you remove ur keys from ur ignition, u r definitly not gonna forget ur cashcard as the other end or ur lanyard is still attached to the IU.
I have been using this method for the past year and so far.. I am still using the same cashcard i bought that same time i got the lanyard. Compared to the 10 or so cashcard that i lost since ERP was implemented........
Try it out guys!! Good Luck!!
:goodluck: :goodluck: :goodluck:

I swear if I ever catch another sonofabit*h attempting to steal my cashcard again, I'm gonna break his hands before handing him to the police...
These low-life as*holes have every intention to steal your cashcard. I've tried from pasting decals on the cover, covering every possible angle of the cashcard being seen should I forget to remove it to LOCKING the IU and yet these bast*rds still don't give up. Is it wrong to leave the cashcard in the ERP unit, wait till some dickhead steals it and then go bash them?

However, I have a quick release clip for all of my keys and I only use the single bike ignition key when riding as I don't like a big bunch of keys jingling around and scratching up my top tripple clamp while riding.

so far so good, no cashcard stolen yet. either the above methods really worked or I'm just very lucky. only rode for 10 months though.
Dont push your luck bro...

well, i try not to forget my cashcard. and i can't really use your method since my keyhole is like so far away from the IU.
Usually when I spot a cashcard in another bike's IU, I will remove it and place it inside his/her helmet that's locked on the bike. The rider should be able to find it. If there's no helmet, I will hide it in the bike where possible and convenient for the rider to find it later. But so far, I've never got my cashcard back placed in my helmet.

Royzs 19-10-2006, 07:53 PM APOLOGIES FOR POSTING AT THIS PARTICULLAR GARAGE SALES, CAUSE I JUST HAVE A POINT TO MAKE FOR THE FREAK
Earlier today around 2-3pm, I parked my bike a Plaza Singapore, level 3. As I was in a hurry, I rushed off , and in the instant forgotten that I have left the cash card which my girlfriend apparently lent me, in the ERP unit.
I know is my forgetfulness, But what im pissed about is that the card only has a dollar in it and you cheapo still want to steal, why don’t you come up to me and let me know, I’ll give u the freaking dollar plus! You are so pathetic you need to steal from people? A dollar?
What made matters worst is that… that was town, we need cash card to go around you jerk, and I have to go look for another one.
If it is you, which I hope not, the class 2 frazer guy with 2digit number plate, parking beside me, I will not hesitate to give your plate number to authority later this night as all the other bikes were still there except your bike, but apologies if I mistaken you but I’ll let the man in blue settle it
Well good news for you, I am making a police report later tonight as that card is dedicated for personal usage only, if you can read, it has my GF IC no. on it and picture as well!!!,
So if the police or sway myself see you with it, I bet you will not be so macho to steal cash card already cuz u will be either apprehended reported that very instant
You think Im kidding? Try hanging on to the card a couple more days and please top up for usage …
Well anyway, I hope your bike get stolen someday, or I hope you use the card and get caught you freako dollar theft
Thanks for reading

If u were in his situation, someone accuse u of stealing,
say, if it ain't u, my apology to you. You hear liao, also not happy..
just like when in a quarrel ... dun anyhow bring a innocent party into the picture.. when the innocent party hears it ... also will get angry..
Last time also got this things abt cash card kana stolen ...
You only can blame urself being forgetful.
Den the rest is up to the police to take action.
Only if ur bike with Yoshi end can, den ppl come and steal,
this type is really not ur fault..
But cash card forget to take out, u can only blame urself to be forgetful.

First thing first, wrong place to post.
Secondly, you have only yourself to blame. Almost everyone lost cashcard day in, day out. And you can only blame yourself for being careless. Cheapos are everywhere to pounce on the opportunity of a unattended cashcard, whether or not it has IC number or photo on it.
Just be more careful next time...
BTW... I already lost 4 cashcards since Jan, with enough value inside to buy me another ERP Unit... but I can only blame myself for being careless... too bad for me :sian:
If only $1 inside, probably just buy a Coke and throw the card away.
Simply80Chup 20-10-2006, 01:51 AM :slapforehead: :slapforehead:
In the first place, who in the right mind would wanna return back the cash card he had stolen even after finding that it only contain $1?
Stop accusing others if you got no proof. You just have to blame it on yourself for leaving behind the card. Well, its good that you report to the authorities about it. Salute! Hard lesson learnt. Dont ever leave your cashcard behind. Theres always ppl waiting to pounce. I've lost count the no. of cashcard i lost. Only got myself to blame for it...sigh
mr suave 20-10-2006, 02:03 AM I lost mine at plaza singapura also. So this is probably a reminder for bikers who go there.
Junyi 20-10-2006, 06:11 AM So long as u forgot to take ur cashcard with u then kena steal den its ur fault for nt looking after ur things.. cannot blame others de bah.. unless u saw it with ur own eyes..

innards 20-10-2006, 09:01 AM I wanna speak up for those Fazer riders with 2-digit plates that are active here in SBF. You lost your cashcard due to your carelessness, and you posted here defaming the integrity of Fazer riders. Think about it.
I am sure none of us SingaporeFazerClub riders need your cash card. We can well afford our own, and some of us dun carry just one cashcard for your info. And if you had felt better telling us your sob story and hoping to find back your cashcard with $1 balance, how about i dig in my pockets and buy you a brand new $10 piece?
Royzs 20-10-2006, 09:04 AM point taken ...
i get what u mean.. =p
hope no harm done...
thanks...
i would like to close this tread...
paithorn 20-10-2006, 09:33 AM bro, i agree with the rest you only have yourself to blame... i lost my cash cards many a times too......and can understand yr frustratiion....
however, i admire your manhood as to admit yr mistake and not being a stubborn goat after advices from other brudders here.....good job mate!
bigman_185 20-10-2006, 09:51 AM Dun said the fazer with 2 digit number plate won't take your cash card. Even a 4 digit one won't do that. I can buy you one also.
bigman_185 20-10-2006, 09:57 AM Guess next time if I go Plaza Singapura on my bike, I must be the last one to leave if not kenna accused by ppl.
Btw, I also lost 2-3 cashcards before but bo bian. It's my mistake.
blueray 20-10-2006, 10:14 AM Since someone had written this, I think I better shared this.
I lost my cash card at PS(Plaza Singapura). First time I went, I forgot to take out my cash card($20+). This is my own fault nothing to say. But it make me wonder cos I had a piece of sticker on my cash card. Unless someone got open it out to check, if not you can't tell whether is there cash card in it.
The next Saturday I went there in another bike that had a locked with on it. This time I remember to take out my cash card but I still locked it back. When I came back 1.5 hours later, the lock was kana force open. Samething, I had a sticker on the unit which no one can tell whether a cash card is inside it.
Not sure about how you all feel but I feel that there is someone over there that go around the PS car park checking on bike for cash card. I had written in to the PS management about this but the reply is that they are sorry and will check about it. Nothing after that.
Bro Royzs had apologies for wrongly accused anyone and I am sure that he don't mean to accuse any one from SingaporeFazerClub riders. I do believe that as rider, we do help to keep a look out for each other in regard of what bike we ride or where we from. He is just upset about losting his cash card especially when there is not much value inside. Think that what make him pissed off.
But I also like to highlight about PS cark park, hope everyone will be more careful over there and if possible keep a look out for supicous guy over there. Maybe I just think too much but can't help it to think that someone is there to pick on biker's cash card.
danielburgess 20-10-2006, 10:26 AM I'm sorry to hear that you lost your cashcard at Plaza Singapura, I too lost a cash card there last week, and nearly got in trouble with the bloody bras basah ERP gantry, I still do not know where they got to charge us for leaving the Orchard area. Anyway, since then due to my forgetful nature, I drilled a hole into the top left hand corner of the cash card, and tied a string to it and the other end to my ignition key. You might want to try something like that.
Please remember that prevention is the best cure, alot of bikers can barely afford to own a bike and end up stealing cashcards, petrol, spare parts.
Here are some ways to counter that, first, make sure you take out your cashcard, as for petrol, try to make your fuel lines not accessible easily, and as for the spare parts, ride a bike that is not common on the road!
Cheers
pyro13 20-10-2006, 10:34 AM well, riding an uncommon bike mean he parts has more value mah.. for example .. wave.. so many abnd d parts are dirt cheap... but its his fault tat he lost his cashcard.. he shouldnt blame the fazer.. he will only incur the wrath of the fazer riders

APOLOGIES FOR POSTING AT THIS PARTICULLAR GARAGE SALES, CAUSE I JUST HAVE A POINT TO MAKE FOR THE FREAK
Thanks for reading
halo... bike model is FAZER and not frazer.....
dreamwalk 20-10-2006, 11:31 AM Its a good thing the our Sillypore Gahment will be implementing the Gen-2 IU units soon.
Next time we can just go to any ATM,SAM or AXS to top up our IUs.
But hor, next time our whole IU units go missing den how ??
There are cheapos everywhere.
danielburgess 20-10-2006, 11:40 AM Gen 2 IU units? Now I am more afraid of not only the cash card being stolen, but the whole IU unit!
Do you guys think that the Plaza Singapura is just plain bad luck for us? Or is it possibly a thieve who just circles the Plaza Singapura car park and just takes whatever he can find? One day lets "AMBUSH" him.
Cheers
jeric 20-10-2006, 01:29 PM Hi ppl of sgbikes,
since this cashcard theft issue is bought up here, i shall take this opportunity to give my 2 cent's worth.
First, i do have numerous cashcards being lost through my absent-mindedness as well over the years. Sure such incidents do well up ample anger in me, i do feel that it's our individual efforts to prevent such thefts. If u dun want ppl to steal ur things, then try not let ur things be stolen in the first place (i.e. Take ur cashcard with u after use). Gotta be more careful next time lor..
Then, i do agree with blueray's conspiracy theory about ppl prowling shopping mall carparks with only the exact intentions of "taking" cashcard only. Here's a true experience from my fren at suntec carpark. 5 mins into shopping, my fren and his pillion realised they forgot to remove their cashcard and subsequently went back to retrieve. As they approach their cbr400, an 40yo uncle stood by the bike to remove his cashcard. Both of them started ruuning towards the uncle armed with their helmets in hand. The uncle became fearful and handed the cashcard back to the rightful owner, quickly disappearing into the sea of cars thereafter. According to my frenz, that particular uncle didn't seemed like a carpark user from his body language right from the time they spotted him. Moral of the story, there are likely to have "professional" cashcard thieves within mall carparks!!
Lastly, i would like to suggest fellow forumites whose cashcard/s had been stolen before to channel ur anger into some constructive actions. Why not form a crime watch group to patrol mall carparks? u know, inform the management, then hide one corner in the carpark, n nab the thief.. somewhere along that line. Some ppl may think its bo liao but i'm sure the satisfaction is certainly rewarding. Perhaps just spent 1 or 2 hrs of la kopi time every weekend only wat. Wadiyathink...?
danielburgess 20-10-2006, 02:21 PM Count me in, I got alot of golf clubs, cricket bats, and louisville sluggers saved up for just an occasion.
Cheers
now that's constructive suggestion..
rather than wait to be 'slaughter', why not spring a surprise...

SlayGay 20-10-2006, 04:11 PM I also lost my cashcard at Ps a few months back. My IU unit also had a sticker. Guess there is really a theif there lurking around. Must have earned a lot judging by the no. of cashcards stolen at PS carpark

pls wake up ur idea and stop pointing fingers before the next time u lost ur card again and the vehicle beside u is a QX...(aren't u gonna point finger at them too and make a police report?????)

jocoolseah 20-10-2006, 05:54 PM i agree that there prob is a regular prowler at the PS carpark. lost my cashcard a couple of years back. parked my bike....walk to the lift.....took lift to ground floor...realise forgot to take card....take lift back up.....walk to bike....and viola! like magic...the card is gone in less than 10 mins!
hard lesson to learn..the card had abt 50 bucks value...it was also my matric student card last time....so very troublesome to report and replace.....
after that everytime will remb to check IU liao when park bike....haha.....but a few frds also lost their cards at PS...so i suspect got 'regular' there one...so just be extra careful lah, they prob target bikes when they enter (esp during ERP hours in town)...then will quickly 'hit' on the bike once they see you park....
so be careful guys!

JKFAZER
understand it truely that you or any Fazer riders would be put off for my bad useage of words ... =p
was just getting loads of steam of my chest and i admit that its my fault that i just simply accused that someone too generally...
dont get me wrong... i think fazer is a beautiful bike, and of cuz the rider that comes with it, is with out a doubt be of a class that truely amazes anyone.
I take back my wrong for the fazer thingy, and just stick to the guy who chanced upon my mistake... and i reported lost of my card, so no more issues... =p
just to share its not only cardscards, weeks ago, i installed a ERP leather pouach, that neeeded to be screwed on, to ensure "theif proof" 2 screws to be exact... but hor a day later magically gone!!...
so was my tire gas cap... which was nothing spectacular about it... =p
hey gets who replied, thanks for reading... haha
Guys who got angry, dint mean no harm dudes,
-_- maddy 20-10-2006, 10:16 PM i got an experience to share also. there was once i park my bike at beach road army market. i was together with my friend looking for slots to park. after that i forgotten to take out my cash card. i went to the place my friend parked his bike and wait for him to keep his helmet.
then i remember i forget to take my cash card and i went back to my bike. its GONE! then there is one suspicious guy walking around. from bike to bike. i kept staring at him. then he actually walk towards my friend bike to see his IU.
my friend told me he had been walking around since we were both looking for slots. probably the guy was camping for cashcards.
i know its the guy who took it but i got no evidence. so bo bian suck thumb blame myself. and there are actually this kind of ppl camp at carpark stealing cashcard. OMG
pyro13 20-10-2006, 10:47 PM kimi.. ur a&w... so nostalgic man.. u use d word camp.. reminds me of counterstrike
Since it has been ascertain that there is indeed a serial cashcard thief operating at Plaza Singapura, for those of you who are free, why not conduct a sting operation? Even if it is only a cashcard, the person stealing it could be charged with theft from vehicle which is a serious offence. :btw: my cashcard too got stolen when I forgot to take it out from the IU unit after I parked my bike at Suntec City. It seems that every rider has the tendency to look at the other bikes' IU unit when they park their own bikes. However the decision to steal or not totally depends on how bloody poor they are and how their parents brought them up... :sian:

I doubt that he will recover his value left $1 cashcard. :goodluck: with eradicating his forgetfulness though... :cheeky:
Sn0w_MaN 21-10-2006, 11:48 AM I think u lost ur cashcard is ur own problem because of u forget others being called a theft, i think in future next time my bike got knock down by someone i can just say it's the person who park beside me knock down one la. I think u should think twice before u ever post here, the name of the fazer rider got blacklist. PS is full of theft case ppls just beware, fren have lost bike cover, cashcard, ever road tax cover and the tyre knot also got ppls want to steal i really dun understand why.
Sn0w_MaN 21-10-2006, 12:13 PM i think we should let the management of PS know that their security system really sux big time
actually ps damn good already wat.. give us free parking. the only place in town with free parking for bikes...
actually i dun tink it occurs only in ps... i think its everywhere.. so its really up to the owner to take care if his own things.. and not to be forgetful to leave cashcards before to tempt potential thieves..
ronald814 21-10-2006, 10:43 PM Ya totally agreed that PS management is the best in Orchard, free bike parking in the Orchard Road area, U tell me which other Orchard road place got free parking.
Which biker never lose their cashcard before, sometimes in a haste, U will forget so to be on safe side, always top up only S$10. The first time I lost my cashcard, it got over S$50 inside so I only top up S$10 each time, a big hassle sometimes but subsequently I lost 2 more cashcard but it is not so painful financially.
Sn0w_MaN 22-10-2006, 07:44 AM ya i mean feedback to the management that they do not have safety in the carpark, this is not only jus for bike also apply for car cause u will never know which lucky car will kena such case as well.

Swakoo 04-11-2006, 04:04 PM Oh well, I just lost (another) cashcard. Left it on my bike for 30 mintes (covered with a strip of blacktape still)..
anyway, its my carelessness (but also the thief's fault too)
anyway.. i remember reading somewhere that i can report lost cashcard, such that if it was being used the person will get spotted.. cos I got the serial number of the card.
anyone know where I can do that?
RageMyDream 04-11-2006, 06:03 PM It's no use. It is as dropping $$.
Last time I call up NETS, this is their answer
Nothing u can do :weep:
Swakoo 04-11-2006, 06:54 PM oh well, suck thumb then.
cos i thought i read abt LTA being able to detect if it was reused at an ERP gantry or somesort... the that will be interesting hahaha
retro 05-11-2006, 11:50 AM they wont go through that much trouble for the small amount of money involved..
myusha 05-11-2006, 02:41 PM I remember the time when i'm still working in a petrol kiosk. There are times where to policemen will come to us and ask for the tapes in our stall, and receipts of the cashcard and stuff. When i ask more about it, i will be told that some1 reported to the policemen for the stolen cash card case.
I still remembered when i used my father's cash card... its a NTUC member card as well, with my father's IC no on it. At that time, i called up the NTUC to report for a stolen cash card. They, too told me nothing could be done, and say that if you wanna report to police, you can proceed. I still can remember the place i parked my bike that time, infront of some securities officer and under a camera...
BlackChicken 05-11-2006, 07:34 PM i tink jus report..when there is too many cases reported..they will investigate..last time i lost mine..nv report..den few months later the investigation officers came to my house and took my statement...cuz my cash card was one of the many cash card found w the thief..i tink they trace the cash card to me cuz i use atm to top up..therefore got my account info..i was only one of many many victim of the thief..
Swakoo 07-11-2006, 10:24 AM hmm is that so.. just report... ah?
Yongster 07-11-2006, 10:32 AM if it's too much trouble then dun bother...it's not worth the effort.....just be mre

Regarding to stuff stolen, I had a really really miserable history.
My KTM 125 was stolen at Marina 9 years ago by some guy. In plain sight of the CCTV. Unfortunately, the thief could'nt be traced.
Another case was my WR200 was stripped of all my plastic by 4 guys 6 years ago. 2 on a RD135, another 2 on a skipper. In full view of the CCTV as well. Unfortunately again, the number plate could not be identified.

gohjohan 24-12-2007, 12:02 AM To the thief of Jurong West St 65,who stole my engine oil dipstick and fuel cap this afternoon/evening, you may laugh and think it's funny to see me riding off without them.
I'm telling you that it's very stressful to ride back home without the covers and engine oil splashing out of the spout is indeed very scary and dangerous! Also replacing it costs money. I'm in between jobs at the moment and that's my hard earned money gone. In my heart, I feel like stealing your Christmas presents to see how upset and distress you feel, so that you'll get a taste of your own medicine!!
aRcHeR 24-12-2007, 12:05 AM ouch! sad to hear that from you..
damn, just hope something bad will happen to them. i too, lost my cloth that i used to wipe my bike with in orchard. duh!
I've heard that theft from bikes and theft of bike parts are quite rampant in Jurong. :giddy: May the thieves get their just deserts from Karma soon...
nbcb, just when we needed the mata to be patrolling around more often instead of summoning us for nothing :sian:
merry x'mas thieves and victims.

+1 for your words.

If mata really summoned you for nothing, no offence committed on your part, lodge a complaint. Make sure the officer who summoned you for nothing doesn't get his performance bonus next year... :goodluck:
BlurLing 24-12-2007, 04:11 AM god bless my bike which i havent touch for weeks at my MSCP
hopefully everything still intact when i return to my baby tml.

Believe in Karma dude. Merry X'mas!!
nights 24-12-2007, 10:44 AM Enough about this karma talk but Johan, have you made a police report? I just hope that the neighborhood police can step up their patrol. These thieves are just so notorious! Low-life scumbags I reckon. Hopefully, we can have more enticed drivers and riders who would help to lookout for suspicious character in the carpark. What a bad experience before Christmas!

I'd agree with that 'cos if out of malice, my bike will be sabotaged until it's unridable o_O
hope you find a job soon. :(
Yeah, same. Was told to wait until next month 'cos others are holding on to their bonuses.
Sorry to hear about your missing parts. It's the holiday season now, are you able to get replacement for the parts?
Immediately? yes and no. Yes, as in I have a spare dipstick. No, as in I can't find my other fuel cap. I'm now waiting for Wednesday when Dealership opens once again.

Yup, bad experience. As told you over the phone, the heavy rain would have been a good reason to wait in the MSCP. Could be anybody during that time..
