i was just wondering, maybe we can all pool our experience together, coz everytime i ride to a shopping centre i've never rode to before, it's quite frustrating to find that the shopping centre doesn't allow bikes to park inside whereas most places are free!!! so i'll start with what i have and maybe some of you fellas can add on to the list...

A few old bird riders in mindef forum told me this when I started a thread with a similar title asking for free parking in car parks in singapore shopping centers:

Just enter and leave if the gap by the side is big enough and nobody stops you when you come out even if it stated that you need to pay like the one under OG in Bugis.

If somebody stops you, LL pay lor and next time dun go back there.

If they want to collect money, they will collect at the entrance when you go in, if nobody is there to collect, assume its free and leave without paying if nobody stops you at the exit.

cuppage plaza is free too. been parking there for more than a year. good place to admire other riders' bikes too...

It's free. But some prefers to park outside cos there's no official bike parking slots.

For Suntec, I park in btw those cars which are parked parallel with front or end facing each other. Its quite a big space which can park lotsa bikes with extra spaces for drivers to load/unload their cargo from their boot if necessary.

4 those who park at suntec city(near to the fish pond),there's a toilet there..insdie the CP,near it is tis steed(black/white)wit 2 side boxs,num is FNXX,tik tat rider(indian) is a theft,better be careful when park near to his,got saw his bike n another RXZ trailing a bike in2 a parking lot b4...after the biker left his bike...they circle his biek 4 a while then left...tik they going to come back 2 do something 2 the bike...u guys b careful...anyway i do confirk tat luck plaza need to pay when u exit

Parking of motorbike at Compass Point is free for the time being. U can go in through the loading and unloading carpark where they reserve an area for temporary parking for bikes. I always park there...... no hassle n the area is big...... Pizza Hut bikes also parked there.

Guys! A few yrs back, i park my bike in centrepoint(if i dun rem wrongly) and went to shop. When i come back about 2 am.....The carpark was locked!! I LL have to come back next morning to claim my bike.... Dunno whether still like that now....

After that, I parked at a carpark beside the mosque (beside Metro Paragon) Used to be free, now its $1 oso. :sian:


Now only left the carpark underneath California fitness and the carpark at the OUB building behind California fitness that's free.

Parking ur bike inside juorng point is free..4 cars u only hv 2 pay $1 via cashcard only coz the exit got no gantry so u can park 4 as long as u want..but no overnite parking
For the power supply building opp califorina fittness,usually the gate closes at 12am midnite(motorcycle parking is free)..but last sat,saw tat they hv change the timing to 10pm...so if u r going to watch any evening showtime over at cineleasure,dun park there

you can park there for free but there is no designated lots for bikes. I have checked with the security guards before. they said as long you park your bike "properly" without obstructing traffic, it will be ok.

For Changi Aiport, if they give you a coupon got URA sign, then u have to pay 60 cents... Else, can consider yourself no need to pay the carpark fee.

Hey guys be careful when u park yr bike at the somerset mrt open carpark cos i parked my bike there yesterday wif my helmet locked onto my bike and later come back .....my helmet was gone ....dunnoe which sucker go and cut away the helmet chin strap and stole it ....luckily im not pillion anyone back else will be very paiseh one ......

Beware of theft at somerset open carpark.....Dun locked yr helmet there !!!

NO!!! the bike's parking lots are reserved for their employees only. I tried once and even covered my bike. They pasted a warning note saying that the next time, my bike will be wheel-cramped and release fee is $100 (I think).

Suntec is not a problem at all ma, i always park in between the 2 pillars which is also in the middle of 2 car parking lots or just park beside the wall, wont be a obstruct to traffic at all...

but there is parking slots there mah.. but they are usually hidden behind the vehicles... you need to look carefully for it lor... just park there like yesterday in a proper bike slot.. though quite hard to find...but i think better than parking in middle of nowhere lor.. hehehe.. no hard feelings... just my comments...

went there on 31/12/2002 and there's a no entry for bike sign there... alternatively, can park at the Choa Chu Kang building just next to lot1, the entrance is just beside lot 1's entrance....

Lot1? I just went there this afternoon on 2nd Jan 2003 to renew my road tax at NTUC INCOME at leve 3. Rode in and there are parking spaces. Maybe I yandao? :lol: :lol: just kidding la.

I got one of these at Causeway point once in Sept last year. I was parking where there are lots of other bikes but they didn't have the warning letter as I had. so weird, maybe I was just at the yellow box thingy... :confused: didn't have any other letters that came my way after that.

in the end just hack care... come back and i got the warning letter also... :mad:

Singapore post got to be careful.. cos if you park at basement 1, don't park at the wheelclamp sign area... will get calmp one... i just got clamp last tuesday... the sercurity guard say cos got drivers complained that bikes scratched their cars as the bikes sometimes park in between the pillars and the the parked cars... so they extra clamp.. but he say if we park basement two or three, they won't come disturb us.. hehehe.. don't know real a not...anyway just be careful.. that day i know a lot of bikes kanna clamp with me.. so sad..fifty dollars gone... then my friend said it is a trap for bikes.. free for us to go in.. then most pro we will any how park mah...then they clamp, can earn fifty dollars from each bike...think they will earn more this way lor.. hehehe....

first the carpark at the mosque required $1 parking... so we all parked at Crown Prince hotel for free, then the management at the hotel placed a sign outside that said no motorcycle parking. so we simply parked at any of the other 2 carparks within 50 metres. then even those 2 carparks are no entry to bikes... :mad:

IU parking applies for all vehicles... similar to Funan... ;)

for me i just check for 2 things... if there's a security guard to stop me from going in, and if there isn't, then i check to see if there's a gap in the barrier to go through. i went to esplanade and the IU is actually for cars i guess, coz there's a gap in the barrier for bikes to go through. same thing when i go to toa payoh central the hdb centre. and try to park at proper motorbike lots... save yourself the worry of getting a warning letter or worse, a clamp and a fine!!!

It says from 17th Feb all vechicles including BIKES need to pay for entering the parking lot. It is IU based, so need to put in cash card before you go into the carpark. Bike is $1 per entry. Its actually free parking after 1230am when the counter auntie go home, then you need to go up the bump and up the curb to get pass the barrier.

After they start the cashcard thingy, the aunties are all stationed inside the control room, and its really free parking for bikes, cos you go in, slot in your cashcard(no deduction), come out go by curb.

But now, its becos of me or us make spoil market :D , they ban motocycles from going in Lucky Plaza.

if you going orchard, the area frm orchard parade hotel ( devils bar ) all the way to borders that section , park at forum galleria basment car park. free n the barrier very short. u can sit on ur tank n squeeze thru easily.

as for wisma that stretch to hmv that side, i have not found free parking. except coupon parking and the behind hmv that beside mosque basement carpark for bikes one buck but security there not very good.

as for cuppage plaza that stretch, u can try parking at orchard plaza. free also. is it orchard plaza ? i also not very sure...i think its orchard point la...the one with starbucks facing the main road that relatively new building.

n when i go suntec marina area, i go to millenia walk basement free parking for bikes too.

I think a lot of bikers are not aware that Singapore Power is free for bikes. quite near to Orcahrd Cineplex.

it depends on where are you going. Orchard Point, Singapore Power, Le Meridien Hotel are some free places in Orchard.

dunno whether my trick works all the time..I was at cmpb carpark the other time and the uncle wanted to collect 50c from me after i park the bike..but i tell him i dun haf single cent with me (REALLY!!) told him i meeting my fren then borrow from him..and he let me off...and forgot about the 50c.. :sweat:

But i noe shaw centre the barrier is all the way to the wall so impossible to go in free unless u press 4 ticket lah. But wat 4 pay same parkin charges as a car when ur ridin a bike & not a car?

no j8 basement carpark gota pay. but there're a few bike lots outside, one near the Bata shoe shop, and the other near the taxi stand at the back of j8. To put coupons is up to you, but most of them nv put.

there's always a security guard station near the bata shoe shop, last time i park on the pavement, the guard say ok. so if the lots there are full, just ride onto the pavement!

if all else fails, cpf building there aso got a few lots, and there's also a multi-storey carpark above the Bishan bus interchange.
