Hello everyone, I went to get my PES Status today 18/02/2009, and I found out that I was graded E1 L9 for 3 months. I tried doing some research but I am still a little bit unsure about my PES status.

What will be my duties for E1 L9?
I am only PES E for 3 months. How will they assess me in that time to see if I need to upgrade/downgrade?
What is the BMT for PES E?

When are you enlisted??

PES E do not got for BMT. PES E direct enlisted to their camp of work.
most PES E personnels are clerks. only No3 and No4 are issued.

but if you are enlisted after your 3months Temp status, chances for you to upgrade to higher PES is possible.
High chances you will be PES C max. PES C will go thru a modified BMT at Pulau Tekong.

Hey bro, I just received letter today. I will be going for the 5 and a 1/2 day residential programme at Pulau Tekong. BMTC School 2 on 16th March at 9:30am. Hmm I guess I will be a clerk when I get posted out? Thanks bro, biting_point.

yes all pes e need to go tekong for one week. then ull b posted to unit. either as storemen or clerk. if ur pes is temporary, u will go for medical board and upgrade ur pes status to either c,b,a... then u will go back bmt for 2months + of BMT then post to unit again. tats e way it goes!

any NSmen here, who suay suay injured urself after ORD, managed to downgrade?

Pes E doesnt mean clerk... And clerk doesnt mean its a sissy kinda thing...
U can work under the G1,G2,G3... training programmes...ABB... lots of stuff u can learn... :thumb: Btw, i used to be an Ammo Spec :thumb:

Ahh does this mean that I could be doing 2 different BMTs? Well I am PES E because of Mitral Valve Prolapse (Minor backflow in the heart) as well as fainting spells. If I go for review by medical board, it is still possible to maintain my PES E right?

if yes, please get a specialist letter from your doctor, might come in handy soon..

Mmmm, what I did was let the MO know that I have the following conditions, then they put me through to specialist. I pass all the documents to CMPB including my progress report on patient medical status. Guess should be enough?
