Since i was from the Army,i used to hold rifles and grenades.Now i'm holding water nozzles.It doesn't matter anyways.Its part of the job.Marlboro,u want to start a war between Army and SCDF is it?Pls find out what u are talking about and don't just shoot yr mouth off here.I think yr mouth is the water gun.No offence to other users visiting this thread though.

i read in the straits times today that yesterday evening at jurong east, blk 232, this man held a knife and locked himself in the house when the police go knocking on his door. Unable to get the guy, DART team from SCDF was activated to rappled down from the block to get into the house through the window. i was wondering, why is it the dart team and not the SOC or any some tactical team from SPF?

low threat? The person within can only harm himself?? Given the situation, Dart which is the specialist in this kinda situations, would be the best.

The police is not going to mount an assault on the knife wielder anyway. :)

Anyway Kudos to all SCDF officers out there. Definitely not 2nd choice Home Team like someone said.

Coz its considered a suicide situation.
Normally suicide situations SCDF has ground command.

OK OK, go hold ur gun if you are Soooo proud of it. only fire live round in buffer range. charge a hill and only fire at target board, some more do so many dry run before the actual thing..... haiz......talk to us only you went to actual war before...

Yup,i'm a modster.Not tat active anymore since i downgraded and got married.My wife not that into this brotherhood type of things.So very hard to go for outings.

Not that i'm looking down on the all female ERS but some of them.they make good frends but not good colleagues most of the time.Always throw MC at the most critical times i.e weekends,holidays.Won't participate actively in drills.Always give BGR problems as an excuse to get time off from work,excuse from shitty things which the rest have to go thru.

I stress again,it does not apply to ALL female ERS.But most of them.Like the malay saying ~ Siapa yang makan chili dia yang rasa pedas.(The one who eat the chili will feel hot).

I've been at Bt Batok Fire Stn formerly was Bt Timah Fire Stn for 5 years now.

I am from Station 14 now known as Station 33...graduated from 5th FFC and served as DI for 6th FFC...ORD on 2003...still very missed the Fire Fighting days at the station and the sound of fire call still exist in my bloodstream...

PC gets highest pay in NS + least amt of work compared to pay. ICT oso can rilek ask ppl do work. When applying for job, resume also looks nicer. Some more i c my ex recruit and JOs nowadays in town or whatsoever, they still call me out Sir. Even after i told them NS is over. Goes to show something i believe.

Thats where you're wrong about PTE,LCP & CPL being Bochap. Initially i've been thru all that rank and I know the reason why some doesnt want that ranking in the 1st place. Some just want to finish NS so that he can do his responsibility with a bigger salary. Some takes the LCP but doesnt want extend 6mth because they had some financial problem at the background and just need little cash to sustain him till 2 yrs so that he can study or find job quickly. Some CPL couldnt even get SGT rank due to the Ranking system in CD that only each dept got to have 1 SGT (IF you didnt know that as a PC)

There are even PTE who work harder than CPL & SGT. Not to Angkat bodek but to finish his responsibility. Being a PC with higher PAY(still NS mah) and low in responsibilty makes you blind as a bat my fren.

So before you say these ppl Bochap, try to see their background first can? as why I took CPL-SGT rank? because my education not high and I wanna finish my part-time study inside CD but to do so, it has to extend additional 6more month. So yeah I extend due to study.

I'm not against all PCs but some **** TOM & HARRY has unacceptable attitude they show that makes me spit. Lucky our PC in our Division is not as BOCHAP as some PCs I saw.

The above is not at Malay but different races who share the same responsibility.

Doesnt need to be a Malay to Bochap also. Different race also the same mah. Honestly speaking aren't we all Lazy? hehehe. So dun make malay look bad lah. When living in singapore try to appreciate all races. Equality is the way. People who differentiate this should move to Pulau Hantu.
