Motorcycle Parking Coupon...

You last visited: 30-12-2004 at 05:49 AM A letter from the Deputy Director (Carparks) of HDB in todays ST Forum page had me coming back here to post... The existing 65-cent parking coupon for motorcycles allows a motorcyclists to park at a particular carpark for either day or night parking sessions but not at different carparks. I'm like wow... did everyone else know that? We're all going to get screwed by ERP parking. =( So, if I put coupon and park at carpark A in the morning, then move my bike to carpark B in the afternoon but never put new coupon, what fine can HDB give me?

How can they even find out if its the same coupon or not? doesnt make sense to me now.. *blur*

I'm sure they can't - it appears to me that they are taking this position to 'justify' the cost of ERP parking when it rolls out. Where we'll have to pay separately for each different carpark we park at...

Is there any fine print anywhere we can confirm this? We should try put some kind of appeal/petiton together.

This is getting really absurd!

1st they are slowly removing free parking in hdb estates carpark on sundays by introducing those erp carparks.

Then now, they are taking this stance jsut so they can squeeze more moolah from us!? come on man! at this rate, a lot more ppl will park indiscriminately and hide at void decks and common walkways.

for coupons yes, it is meant only for 1 car park. should u park in another car park u should tear another coupon
for the ERP gantry type of car parks, u will only be charged once per day
meaning the 2nd time u enter that car park, u will not be charged.
this only applies to car parks that states clearly bike parking is on a per day basis & not per entry

hmm.. i also wonder if they do keep track of coupon serial number. On the other hand, i know a friend who has not been "found out" by reusing his old coupon. recently, he told me that he saw the parking auntie around and left 2 old coupons with everything torn out, except the date, which was folded in. And he didnt kenna anything!

Anyone with similar experience.. good and bad? Just asking around, before i might follow in his stead.

still dont get how they actually know that we used 1 coupon for 2 different lots..we dont have to input parking carpark number, or parking lot number..

neither does the parking warden vandalize our parking coupon with a unique code or what..
