Hi guys, Just a topic that came to mind. Some days ago, I saw a Blackbird got written off at my favorite bikeshop. I didnt see the plate number, but the overall condition suggests the bikes is rather fine before the crash . But now it's chasis become halved. The rim halved or so. The discs bent at 90 degree...etc. Basically a write-off. Feels for the owner. 1) What is the most expensive write off you ever encountered? 10K? 15K? 2) What is the most expensive piece of spare part that you ever paid for your bikes. I fork out $400-$500 for a whole wiring loom. Yes, you read that correct. Can still feel the pain. Please contribute and avoid lame jokes please. have a pleasant day/ride!

I am very lucky. The most expensive part I've spent is $130 for chain and sprocket during the ownership of my bikes.

Mine to date is the alarm system... $100 for a 2 way which remote broke.... and then it drained the battery completely so i left it unplugged and gave it away together with the bike.... bloody useless!

Surprisingly, or rather luckily, Ah Peng told me the guy was ok. Then I asked bout the other crashed bike at planet, the maroon CBF150 on the left row at the shop. Seemingly minor spill damage, but he told me the guy is a goner...

Highest i paid was for my phantom. I took out from shop i tink they never change EO for me or something that was my 1st bike. Was on CTE and i think the rod holding the gears broke in half or something inside the engine. Now after years of experience i realise it could be old owner never jaga EO and maybe shop never change EO before i take out hahaha i stupid just come out Triangle boy.

Went to this stupid shop took him 2 weeks to repair and charge me 1.2k for that rod. Even retain my IC so dat i will pay. I was so young and gullible back then.

went up to a lawyer firm.. recieve his call after my 1st accident told me goverment intro de... end up i went up for 15min then go off liao... then ending everything let bikeshop do... then L L pay him $300 for that $15 min.. i didnt ask him to do oso but just a signature, telling me fake thing to cheat me to sign... say what to report to goverment that i come b4... was young n new to traffic accident, KNN that's it... so guys when met a accident dont know ask other never go to anyone unless police or ur choice of bikeshop...

Right box clipped a barrier in Haytai customs area on the way back into Malaysia, mounted kerb and fell because feet cannot touch ground with front wheel on the kerb and rear wheel on the road, so left box also dent.

Rack and mounting of the boxes crooked, so box cannot be used safely anymore.

- $45 for a new handlebar as it was not properly aligned as some 'idiotic' driver may have knock onto my bike and drop it real hard.
- $850+ to rebuild the front part of my CBF150 that rammed into the ass of a small lorry. On top of that $100+ for medical fee + re-dressing for cuts/abrasion. NSD has been compromised, waiting for quotation as that 'foreign' driver decide to back up his word to claim it under my insurance. So much for agreeing to 1 on 1? .. liar!
- $950+ for a full 4T engine overhaul with multiple parts needed to be replaced (that i need to top up from the package.) .. It has been running for 5years + .. that's indeed alot of 'money'

Saddest thing was the accident and the overhaul happened within a month and i don't print money thus depressed.
