Directions to Kulai (Makanan Yew Meng & Sze Hwa)

Located within walking distance in Kulai are 2 good makan spots: (a) Makanan Yew Meng… famous for its mongolian bbq pork ribs 44, Jalan Serulin 2, Taman Seri Kulai, 81000 Kulai, Johor, Malaysia Rough coordinates N1°40.08' E103°35.2' (b) Restoran Sze Hwa (aka Sze Hwa bak kut teh) Jalan Serulin 1, Taman Seri Kulai, 81000 Kulai, Johor, Malaysia Rough coordinates N1°40.094' E103°35.225' Not sure but I think Makanan Yew Meng opens only from late afternoon for dinner & supper; it wasn’t open during lunchtime the last time I went there yeaning for its pork ribs with lunch. As for Sze Hwa bak kut teh, I’ld suggest lunching there earlier as the bak kut teh was almost finished when we arrive around 2pm during one of my previous visits. So how to get there? The 2 spots are about 38+km from GP Esso, requiring <30 mins via E3 & E2 (exit 252 Kulai), provided no jams. Recommended route is longer but faster due to less traffic lights; alternative route which cuts through town roads is also shown on the map. Happy eating & ride safe
