[ Class 2B ] Road bike like YBR , CBF , Pulsar = Ah Pek bike??

Hi guys , recently i've got my class 2b and gotten myself a Pulsar .. First day when i went to work everyone says is an ah pek bike ... I'm 20+ btw. and they ask me why never get spark , x1r , or sports bike which is more youngster type ... So is those road bikes as mention above really ah pek bike ??

What rubbish. I was 19 when i got my YBR. No one said it was an Ah Pek bike. They all said it was economical and cheap. But i was a PNSF then so a lot of officers rode bike, regular and SC, so they all know we PNSF no money one.

You go work where one? If got alot of older folk or riders with longer experience, they wont say its ah pek bike.

Sure you can make them nicer and beauty is in the eye of the beholder yada yada but honestly, YBR and CBF to me are ahpek bikes. Pulsar is like the Super4 of 2B's now. I'll only get those bikes if I am on a budget and just want a reliable, value-for-money workhorse that gets me from A-to-B. Nothing wrong with that but if the budget permits, would rather get a nicer looking bike.

Quite a lot of pretty 2B bikes nowadays too- KTM Duke 200, YZF R15, FZ 16 etc Only barrier is your budget ceiling.

to be honest, the real ah pek bikes are spark/x1r. these kup kias have no fuel tank, and they looks like bikes that people in developing countries always ride

however strangely many people in sg has this perception that spark/x1r is sporty, trendy and for the young.

theres nothing wrong with having this kind of perception, however i am just wondering what causes people to have this kind of perception

Ive seen lots of uncles + ah pek riding honda nsr sp, kawasaki krr with box. Big cheap box with lock behind.

The only Road bikes that are Ah Pek bikes are Suzuki GN125, Honda CM125, but in a positive way. They are so classy with all that chrome, just love them. They are slow and not meant for ripping, but then who is in a hurry anyway? Kekekeke

Rode a gn125 before n has click 120km/h

Rode a spark 135 before n has click 125km/h

So. . . . 5km/h difference only. Hrmmmmm

I still like gn125. Juz saw a scrambler gn125 jus now. Maybe my gopro capture it. Juz maybe. Quite neatly build.

Here i sourced out some of the local pulsars from the pulsarians comminity . aiyo no ahpek look.
in fact ppl say it looks like a class 2a bike.
Actually depends how we do the bike, i saw a CB150 with fazer headlights, nobi exhaust and USD forks
and our pulsar full tank 600km on reserve and 700KM FULL TANK. 700KM full tank, thats distance, if talk about speed , some small electronic modifications it can go to 140kmh.
curious what model pulsar youre using ? ug2? ug3? 200? HAPPY CHEERS

FYI, i was riding a Phantom previously. and i wore full gear riding it. i got stares, i got people ask me so xiong for what? still ah pek bike.

Friend's father, 65 years old riding RSV125. Reson being, license revoked 40 years ago cause tried to run from TP when caught speeding and got trapped in multi storey carpark by TP resulting in getting suspension for over 40 years until 65 years old by court order. Now today, just finished 2B, got his first sportbike in 40 years. Still young in the heart. But from appearance we all thought he is ah pek rider.

Saw one rxk that has been modded with showa suspension, brembo pump and caliper. bike is old in terms of years but fitted with branded stuffs. did not get to see the rider.

pple perceive it as "Ah Pek" bike cause of typical bike design like YBR, CG125, RXZ... very down to earth sort but economical and comfortable riding posture
