sigh! so quiet...think sky diving is a sports not many wat to do. hope to hear more bikers here r sky divers.
for me will wait till ~April when the weather gets warmer then will look around for the DZ.

weather not too kind over the past 4 weekend so onli did 14 jumps. attach some pic from my colleauge's cam...sigh no close up. btw had 1 of my jumps recorded on video but need to find ppl to convert to dvd/vcd 'cos ppl here still using vcr...

bought some gears here:

1) freelfy helmet - bone head pimp daddy $190
2) altimetre - altimetre master2 $110
3) goggle - no brand $8
4) gloves - neumann batting glove $30
5) logbook - skylog for 300 jumps $7
6) log book cover - no brand $7

maybe a pro dittyer $190 later if got spare cash. still looking at buying a ff helmet for rw...but i seldom rw so cant decide wether to spend the $$ or not

did a SAR mission. after a seach by air heng heng located the main canopy. lucky the deployment bag togerther with it landed on open ground. after bashing ~500ft into the swamp found both item. could have cost me ^$2000 for both item

i start underwater diving b4 skydiving too but due to presure related injuring have stop going underwater for long time liao. btw i did open, semi & close circuit b4. got my nitrox qualification on dec 2000 too

i dont have a current licence to jump, i have even sold my ZX9R and officially not longer a biker at this stage.

today i'm going to look for another bike.....
no not the new zx10r but an old Triumph Thunderbird.

guess my adventure days are more or less over, i just sit back with a cigar in my mouth

i will continue jumping but onli here in N Carolina. can't make it for "jump in SG" 'cos me coming home onli late sept (date still no comfirm

)
btw if u go there look out for my buddies from the local free-fall team "V-MAX" i dare to say if they admit no.2 in our region nobody dare admit no.1

most of them started jump abt same time as me, some even later then me. they r really good that i cant even pass their selection into the team

the rightful height is not >12,500ft but here usual we jump at 13,500ft

i have not been current for years. my licence from Australia Parachute Federation as i was trained Down Under. depends on which course you take but about $2k to $3k for course fees alone.

check with comics, he is a current more experienced jumper and should have all the info you need

there are static line courses and accelerated freefall course and sometimes an in between.
check out any jumpwebsite for details. or like i suggested, speak to Comics.

yes the physical feeling is the same but jumping out of a plane looking at the horizon at sundown cannot be replicated.

i did wind tunnel training in rumlang wind tunnel facility in switzerland 10yrs ago.

wind tunnel is very good for training body flight. great for formation skydivers.
imagine a standard 13000ft gives you about 60secs of freefall, a wind tunnel can give you 6000secs without stopping if you got the money....
