<p>

</p>

<p>
	1 person's damage = $115 + $110 = S$215 (Required)excluding meals.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Meals in MY = Est RM$10/Meal.. x est 4 meals = RM$40 ~ S$20 (round up)

</p>

<p>
	7 Jan 1.30pm - Taking photos at the famous Thailand Wall.
</p>

<p>
	Unknown timing to reach Hotel.
</p>

<p>
	I remember there was a bombing a few days before we arrived and suddenly we heard a loud "bam", we had thought there's a bombing again but actually it's a short circuit and the all corridor and lights all went out, it went back to normal about 5 minutes later.
</p>

<p>
	8 Jan 2012 - No bikes - sit tuk tuk go make Thailand number plates and massage and etc etc
</p>

<p>
	9 Jan - Ride out to Old Hatyai town but back still not old yet.. it's called Ko Yo in Songkhia.
</p>

<p>
	10 Jan - Ride back to SG early morning but it's raining very huge. Drag abit but realised the rain isn't gonna stop anytime. Full raincoat on and start our journey about 10am. I remembered reaching back at GP petrol station about 12am++
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Some up and downs that I still recall, My petrol hitting bottom soon due to one petrol station close down.
</p>

<p>
	one bike has it's screw missing (due to vibration) Can't recall if we found another screw to substitute.
</p>

<p>
	BMW or Tenene too tired pacing our speed, because mostly 2B bikes.  He ended up sleeping in between petrol stations or he waited for us 2 petrol station ahead.. Can't recall anymore.
</p>

<p>
	Oh yeah.. while coming back.. this is the trip I micro slept. and the latest trip 2023 I also micro slept.. Both is return leg..
</p>

<p>
	It's one of the most fun trip I've been. haha..

</p>

<p style="text-align:center;">

</p>

<p>
	8.15am - As usual - Breakfast at 7-11.. <img alt="😂" data-ratio="100.00" style="height:auto;" width="72" data-src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@14.0.2/assets/72x72/1f602.png" src="https://www.singaporebikes.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	10am - Move off
</p>

<p>
	10.15am - Both bikes almost kanna hit by a van beating red light. (No footage as we are too tired to retrieve from our onboard cameras)
</p>

<p>
	10.20am - Stop at petrol station nearby "Tha Sae" for refuel and pump more air. (Kanna dog chase me <img alt="😂" data-ratio="100.00" style="height:auto;" width="72" data-src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@14.0.2/assets/72x72/1f602.png" src="https://www.singaporebikes.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />)
</p>

<p>
	10.40am - Went to a tire shop to check tires but they dun do motorcycles and redirect us to another motorcycle shop and even lead us there! (Facebook - Stepupchumphon - this is the place we went to check for leaks and found a SMALL nail less then 2mm) They did up nicely and even wash the rim and chain lube for the bike that need to patch up.. Oh yea.. they did a internal patch.. Costing about S$15.. Which is super worthy..
</p>

<p>
	4pm - Pak Tho- Wang Manao - Macdonald for Lunch (Did some petrol stop but didn't take photos/video as too tiring) - Saw some Singapore cars but they doesn't seems to "see" us..
</p>

<p>
	5pm - Accident with a local car
</p>

<p>
	(Long story cut short) refused to accept any monetary form and wanted insurance to come. Waited for about 2 hours until 7pm before everything is resolved.
</p>

<p>
	Compulsory insurance in Thailand doesn't cover accidents, only death, so you need to either fork out cash or transfer or police case. (Remember to buy additional insurance for any accident at Thailand Border)
</p>

<p>
	We are quoted for 13k baht for a bumper damage, we managed to cut to 8k baht. Claimed that cannot be repair, has to be replaced. (Minor dents)
</p>

<p>
	7pm - Continue to move off towards Bang Yai
</p>

<p>
	Attempted to find hotels on the move is really a bad move.. Bang Yai doesn't have any available hotels anywhere. Every hotel on google map is fully booked.
</p>

<p>
	Managed to found one Rita Homeplace but it's already night time and the person who pick up the phone doesn't speak English.
</p>

<p>
	Ride + Walk around and attempt to find another hotel failed, rode back to Rita Homeplace and walk around the place and managed to find a Thai who can speak simple English to help to liaise with the homeplace person and booked 2 room for the night.
</p>

<p>
	10pm - Checked in Rita Homeplace and Dinner at 7-11 nearby.
</p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	10.45am - Bike loaded up
</p>

<p>

</p>

</p>

<p>
	5pm - Some random petrol stops and rest - Thinking if we should change our destination to Nakhon Sawan. Decided to push on to Phitsanulok instead.
</p>

<p>
	8pm - Check in Lithai Hotel (Cheapest hotel we encountered 380 baht) but... no lifts + corridor abit Singapore Army camp style..  (so you know I know la) LOL...

<p>
	6am - Awake
</p>

<p>
	6.30am - Reach Bangkok Station
</p>

<p>
	7am - Toilet and Searching for information on where is our bikes. (The place is extremely huge) 1 end to another end can take about 10 min of walk. We are given 3 different information, so we had to search from the nearest to the furthest. Turn out the furthest is the correct way. (You need to take a taxi to that location as walking will take about 30min (without additional baggage))
</p>

<p>
	7.30am - Asked several taxis but got rejected as they claimed it's near..
</p>

<p>
	8am - Book a taxi and that guy got no choice but to send us there.
</p>

<p>
	8.15am - we finally saw our bikes (just unloaded)
</p>

<p>
	8.30am - Started the process of sending our bike to Hatyai and packed additional parcel (our jacket and tail bag). Keeping only one backpack for the train ride. packed one side the clothes we needed for bathing.
</p>

</p>

<p>
	10am - Had our breakfast and lunch at the station.
</p>

<p>
	12.30pm - Bath
</p>

<p>
	1pm - boarded the train
</p>

<p>
	From the moment we boarded the train, it's still ok.. just hot as no aircon.. (a mini fan is 2 seats (about 1m-1.5m) away from us)
</p>

<p>
	The train windows is all open.. so bugs and flies and any insects you can imagine.. all will fly in.. Since the windows is open.. the train wheels on the track is extremely loud..
</p>

<p>
	The train doors are also opened by default.. it isn't close.. so if you fall off from the train.. it's really sayonara..
</p>

<p>
	Smokers will smoke near the toilet and there's no doors to close.. if smoker close the door, people will start to scold them as it's hot..
</p>

<p>
	Toilet and washing basin is just infront of us.. That's even worse..
</p>

<p>
	There's no leg room.. anyone sitting infront of you, you need to give space, or should I say, alternate placing of legs..
</p>

<p>
	In the end, we only managed to sleep at 4am when the passengers infront departed the train. But again.. I can only call that as a nap of 1-2 hours rather then sleep.. <img alt="😂" data-ratio="100.00" style="height:auto;" width="72" data-src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@14.0.2/assets/72x72/1f602.png" src="https://www.singaporebikes.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	- 1 pack of Cables Ties
</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	- Jump starter kit
</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	<u><strong>Need to bring along the trip (Personal belongings)</strong></u>
</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	- Clothes (as little as you can tahan) - Buy/wash along the way - I threw away 2 t-shirts - Only had 2 shorts (one for sleeping/one for walking the streets) and one jeans that I'm wearing for the ride.
</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	- Undergarment/socks (Plan where you intend to wash or self wash daily)
</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	- Chargers - Buy those 3/5 in one adapter and get 3-5 cables max.. dun bring too many, you have no time to charge.. haha..
</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	- 1 small bottle of body wash/shampoo/tooth paste and 1 tooth brush
</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	- Laptop/Portable HDD for content creators or transfer your video footage
</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	- At least 3 memory cards (128GB) and 2-3 batteries for your insta360 depending on total duration
</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	<u><strong>Dun bring along the trip (that I've brought along my trip and did not use at all)</strong></u>
</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	- Towel - waste storage, unless you intend to go swimming at the seaside or waterfall.
</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	- Video stabiliser for Content creators - Unless you are flying, you have the time and energy to slowly mount and etc, on a road trip, not really.. Already exhausted from the trip/ lost your way / near accident, you can't be bothered with that stabiliser anymore.. haha..
</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	- Anything else - You think you need that - No, you dun need that.. haha.. be very mindful as along the trip, you will tend to buy stuff and that eats into your storage.. <img alt="😂" data-ratio="100.00" style="height:auto;" width="72" data-src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@14.0.2/assets/72x72/1f602.png" src="https://www.singaporebikes.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	<u><strong>Regrets that I didn't brought or bring along the trip</strong></u>
</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	- a FAST transfer for micro sd card to laptop - I spend about 6-8 hours (overnight) daily to transfer that day of footage to my laptop but I realised, I only need less then 1 hour since I gotten a fast transfer device.
</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	- Wireless Charger for my Phone on my motorcycle - I only installed it after I come back and realised it's sooooo useful, my phone has went into low battery mode during my train ride as the charger station at Thailand is bit slow, despite having my power bank which drains sooooo fast while charging, my phone only managed to maintain between 20-50% and it only got better after I checked in a hotel.
</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	A group is fun when you reach your destination. but while riding, if a person doesn't know how to ride safety in group settings = dangerous. (this will jeopardise the entire trip and that's what happen to me)
</p>

<p style="color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	If your group wan to tag along or just meet up for dinner at certain location along the way..Just drop me a pm or leave down comments below..

	<em><u>(if you wan to go at 299, we will meet at next destination)</u></em>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Did not do up any trip report as I had an accident on day 2 (Near Alor Star/near Thailand border), fall terribly and scratched up all my amour and full face helmet. Pretty much ended up injured mentally badly.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	A short and brief trip report.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	- We ride out on day 1, my bike kept having issues, unable to go up beyond RPM 7 (valve open around 7.5).
</p>

<p>
	- Bike haven't even able to hit our first petrol station, we stopped and I change CDI first, next station stop again as it's still the same, called back Singapore workshop, ask me to wash carb, but I only washed it a few days before hand. Immediately tear up my motorcycle and wash carb.
</p>

<p>
	- Bike works perfectly until a few hours later, my GPS stopped working (due to no charging detected) Chargable cable seems to have some issues somewhere.
</p>

<p>
	- We manage to reach Penang but due to my GPS is down and unable to locate the exact hotel and luckily our driver Svit came and locate us and lead us back to the hotel.
</p>

<p>
	- Upon reaching hotel, I felt exhausted as Bike kept having some issues here and there (felt something is off).
</p>

<p>
	- Next day woke up and feeling refreshed, continue to ride out and saw a biking community having an event at Penang, went there to hang around for a short moment before continuing our trip to Hatyai.
</p>

<p>
	- After which, one bike seems to have issues as need refuel stops, went on to notify other riders as we need to go next fuel station, "the hand sign of pointing your fuel tank".
</p>

<p>
	Next moment after notified the first bike, I slowed down to go back behind the first bike.
</p>

<p>
	The first rider suddenly brake so fast that I could not react in time and bang. We crashed and I fallen.
</p>

<p>
	To be honest, I almost wack that rider or wanted to throw my helmet on him or the floor but subconsciously, I know I can't and my helmet is expensive (at that point of time). hahaha.. so I just throw my glove knowing it would not spolit it.. hahahah..
</p>

<p>
	Seeing the "damaged faring" and broken signal lights and armour pants and jacket torn up, full face helmet scratched, almost go down a hill, the feeling overwhelmed and I wanted to go back home. The other rider did not fall and has no issues at all.
</p>

<p>
	Checked with another rider, he did not have visual on his rear mirror as cannot see the rear, the mirror is more of a display for LTA. This is a no no for any group settings.
</p>

<p>
	We did separated ways as we had a mission to proceed, our mission was to send some goodies and funds to a orphanage home in Laos.
</p>

<p>
	I decided to reversed because of the engine issues (Day 1) and the GPS which works fine in Singapore and added up with accident today. On the way back, I also realised another issue, it's nightfall soon.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I suddenly recall one of my biking buddies went back to iPoh as he has some matters to attend to. He went with us to Hatyai previously. Thus I contact him immediately and he asked me to go to iPoh and he will get in touch with me after he finished up his business there. I was asking for help on which Hotel will be safer for motorcycles. (back in the days, it's very common for motorcycles to go missing overnight if you are not familiar with the place you park at).
</p>

<p>
	After which, he contacted me and asked me to sleepover at his house, which I deeply appreciate for that. I had nightmares over the accident for the next few nights.
</p>

<p>
	While on the way back to Singapore alone, I've encountered a big group of Malaysian bikes about 50 motorcycles. I've hid myself from them from time to time as I'm alone and would not be surprised if I'm being "ambushed".
</p>

<p>
	I remembered the moment when the last few bikes of that group saw me, they horn the front bikers and the front bikers "say to proceed on in hand signs" instead of coming back.. LOL.. felt off isn't it?
</p>

<p>
	After reaching Singapore, took about 2-3 days to resolved all, check bike, no issues, scratches all done up, change head frame as it's broken, GPS wires connection fallen off due to vibrations on bike over long distance, I seriously almost tempted to ride back to join the group since there's a mission on going.
</p>

<p>
	However, heard that they are struck at Thailand as they had another accident and one of the motorcycle (the one who brake) piston jammed, another bike self fallen and many more. Eventually, they completed the mission of going to Laos children home and gave them the donations and monetary forms.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	For me, for the next few years, my riding style has changed, became more scared of squeeing between cars and unable to ride beyond 90km/h. (analog)
</p>

<p>
	The riding style only changed back to normal after I upgraded to 2A. (current bike). End of story.. haha
