Default Moto Guzzi Lovers

Hi,

I just bought a pre-owned MotoGuzziV11Sport.
Similar to THIS -->>

Here is my question:
Are there any other Italian Lovers ...ahem... i mean..... Lovers of sexy Italian heavy metal around?

I would like to know more about the Guzzi bikers scene here, aside from the Internet.
Any concrete workshop meetings, tech talks, etc. as we do it in Europe?

>> Any guidance is appreciated.

Keep on moving -GH- the great hunter

very nice italian bike u got there! sadly the motoguzzi bike scene in sg in pretty quiet... there r alot italian lovers in sg. most of them go for ducati's...a few cagiva's... even fewer go for MV Agusta's. check out the Ducati forum . they hav regular meetups. another exotic italian bike is more than welcomed !

there's a yellow motoguzzi laid up at Kallang Cycle with CF pipes... for quite a while.

Carl,
where the f*** did you order your spare parts?
I get my stuff from a approved Guzzi dealer in Germany, within 2 weeks.
at reasonable cost.

Once you yellow monster is back alive, lets do a ride.
Lets go thru the PIE tunnel after Havelock Road just to hear the sound RrrrrrrrroarrrrR.

And afterwards riding thru Circular road - but sloooooow. :-))

Best regards , and send me a PM when you bike is finished.

Hi Carl,
Stein-Dinse is definitely OK, I used their German site http://www.sd-tec.de/
Price ok, delivery ok, quality ok.

Since I am travelling, I wont be back before 10 March.
Curious to see the yellow Monster then....

Nice bike,
I'm currently running a Cagiva Gran Canyon (Ducati 900 SS engine).
I understand that MAH in Serangoon Road is the Moto Guzzi dealer here in Singapore. Have you bought any spares from them? I am looking for an air filter for my Cagiva it is the same item as the VII.

Just found a K&N air filter that will fit the Guzzi and my Cagiva.
It's at FIAT part for a 900cc Siecento, the K&N part no is 33-2682.
McWell Ventures at UBI Avenue 1 have then in stock for $93.00.

MotoGuzzi V11 Twins meet at Orchard Rd
------------------------------------------------

What a surprise, when I went off from Orchard Rd into Claymore Rd.!
Opposite Orchard Towers, there was just an other MotoGuzzi V11 parked.

I took a picture, the black one in front is mine, the green one behind is it's twin.

May the owner get in touch with me, plz?

regards G.H.

Guess its time for our Guzzi to roar the town. Sorry, i've been quite busy for the past 2months, and the bike has been giving me problems.

As for the bike u saw at orchard, i have met the owner, and was told by him that he no longer rides it, he let his friend uses it. (What a pal&#33

So now i have seen 4 guzzi around.

Hi Carl,
Yeah - we keep the eagle flying

Next week, with National Day, I will participate in a 3d-2n tour to Malaysia's East Coast.
We will ride to Mersing by bike, and spend the time on Tioman Island.
Interested?

Besides that, a night tour to Changi Village or Punggol is always welcome!
Starting with a ride thru Orchard Road...
Come, meet with me and let's ride!

G.H.

Martin & Mike,
really eager to meet you guys and your bikes. i have just send the battery for charging, have not been riding for more than 1 month. hope i am able to start it after charging the battery.

Crossing my fingers now and hope we are able to meet up for a short ride before you leave for Germany, Martin.

Meantime, like i mention to Mike, do give me a buzz or sms if you guys are meeting up. i might be able to pop up to catch up with you, with or without my MG.
Cheers

Actually one of the 1st I viewed when looking for a class 2 bike was a MG.... after test riding it I knew I was not ready for it.... although I'm ready for it now, I can't afford it ... maybe in the near future I'll own a legend... for now I'll just look at one and dream of riding one....

Hi guys,

Few days ago I went down to visit the new Moto Guzzi show-room in 19 Genting rd, I really was surprised for the "clean and professional looking of it". The Sales in charge bring me to visit the workshop too and I think is one step higher of any workshop in town.

The bikes are really amazing! The Griso is a "musclebike" expecially in yellow. I think I'm going to buy one soon. In addition they are giving two years unlimited guarantee with many other beneficts. The good thinks that is now handle direct by MG and not from some distributor/dealer incompetent and disorganized with after sales.

Must see.

I had a wonderful experience with the Moto Guzzi California Vintage in the recent Phuket Bike Week.

Photos are limited but could at least tell a few hundreds words.

I saw a Moto Guzzi, not Breva, not Griso, but like the threadstarter's, and in green, white and red. Very rare to see Guzzi on the road. Understand that there are even less Guzzi than Triumph on our roads.

no problem coolcat, more on the 2008 V7 Classic

Quoted from MCN

Milan Show: Moto Guzzi V7 Classic launched
By Chris Newbigging

Based on Moto Guzzi’s Breva 750, the new V7 Classic should offer an easy ride for inexperienced Guzzi fans, with only 50bhp from the 750cc air-cooled twin.

The engine is the older design with only two-valves per cylinder, but it should mean low and mid-range power is strong enough for most potential V7 Classic owners.

The frame is a simple tubular steel cradle, and suspension is taken care of by simple right-way up forks and retro twin shock absorbers. A single Brembo caliper and disc at the front provides user-friendly stopping, and helps keep costs down too. Wheels are spoked chrome rims with tubed classic-look tyres.

The styling claimed to take inspiration from several variants of the original V7 (which first went into production forty years ago, and was the first Moto Guzzi to use a v-twin engine) – the tank is said to be styled like the V7 Sport, and the chromed parts take their cue from the V7 Special. But the overall result is a bike that bears uncanny similarity to the rival Triumph Bonneville and the more expensive Ducati GT1000 – the view from behind in particular is startlingly close to the Bonneville

Seems like Guzzi is trying to build up a young fan base; using smaller models. Same strategy that BMW is adopting now.

All in all, the V7 is a good looking retro machine; may even hit the older baby boomers market who are looking for a simple charmind ride.

Hope we get to see one at Piaggio.

Cheers
