Dear Members of Cub Community,

Kindly noted that this community will be undergoing revamp. A working committee had been formed to oversee the improvement to this community. All feedback and suggestion will be taken into consideration. Kindly chip in yr effort HERE by posting what the community need to have in order to make this community home to all cubs riders. All past, present and future cubs owner are welcome.

The following are the things that's going to take place ;-

• For a start, those old threads of similar or related topics will be merged and consolidated together.
• The WaveRiders sub forum will be cleaned up 1st and will be moved out to the main forum
• The sub forum will be converted as the Cub Community library for knowledge sharing, archiving and heritage
• There will be effort to spilt and merge post of similar content, so do not be alarmed if the thread are locked
• Ultimately, we should have useful and valuable thread in the sub forum
• There will be a common threads for all make & model in this community like Chatterbox, Outing, Info Hub, Trouble shooting, etc

Do bear with us for the time-being while all these gets sorted out.

Lastly, we would like to seek all available members of this community to join us on a Cub Community Meet 06 scheduled to be held on the 15 Dec from 7pm onwards. Stay turn while the program are being planned out. All are welcome irregardless of race, language or religous....

Noting that riders of the same make/model tends to be more comfortable with his/her type of rides, we are trying to channel the members accordingly to the thread to serve a specific group/audience. Similarly, Thread with a "Portal" label. This is meant for the specific Make & Models riders to advise on issue pertaining to their ride.

There will also be a existence of a Malay & Chinese Portal for comfort level discussion. HOWEVER, I must stress that there should not be any conflict of agenda to divideor creates tension in the community. We are to co-exist irregardless of Race, Language or Religion. Any present/future threads of such nature in violation will be removed accordingly.

This sub section had been renamed as the SBF Cubs Community Dispository for archive, info hub thread (up-coming), heritage, etc. Kindly refrain from opening new topic in this sub section as it'll be moved out into the main community.

Hi Cubs Community member, pse note that there are concern on keeping the threads within CUb Community relevant. Do go thru the "DIRECTORY" thread at the sticky for awareness of what's available in the community and assist to stick to topic. Yr assistance is greatness appreciated for the progress of the community.

Will you mind telling the few people out there to chat in the chatter box and keep related threads "related"? Although sometimes i am also a culprit. haha... but since you guys have spent a huge amount of time tidying the cub forum, i think it should be maintained at the way it should be. cause my concern is the newbies asking for info and those ppl keep telling them to look for info themselves. which is unfair to go page by page looking at unwanted, unrelated and one word, one sentence answers.

and most of the time are the same few ppl (can see one) quoting unrelated stuffs in different thread and most of the time they will do a mass reply in every thread with the same one word, one sentence, unrelated stuffs which is getting v irritating to some. We hope they will keep their spirits high in the chatter box and leave the other threads alone for users to find infos. I am not the only one feeling irritated looking at those replies. So i decided to PM you for some assistance.

Latest - DANGER ZONE from Perling/Bt Indah back to SG


GENERAL DIRECTION & LOCATION




NS-highway from Perling, Nusa Bandajaya, Bukit Indah towards Singapore, you will need to make a left filter in order to get to Singapore customs.

ENLARGED AREA OF DANGER ZONE



If you miss this left filter, slow down!!! The straight on direction is an un-finished expressway. 3 lane roads ends with metal barriers & water barriers, leaving only a left sharp sweeper.

On the direction from SG to Perling, it pretty obvious as you would have already exited via PASIR GUDANG, and the left is blocked off. Kinda safer.

These pictures were taken AFTER the m'sian authorities did some safety measures. These were new (pretty obvious) :-

1. Gradual metal & water barriers leading from the 1st lane to the sweeper.
2. LARGE yellow signboards to indicate sweep.
3. Reflective "cateyes" mounted on the new barriers.
4. Re-painted white lines & chevron
5. Flood lights to be switched on (not sure abt this... haven't been to the same spot at night)



So what was before?

1. Metal & water barriers were perpendicular to the driver/riders. YES 90 degress FACING YOUR MOTORCYCLE!
2. NO signboards preceding the filter
3. Absense of reflective "cateyes"
4. Dull fainted lines & chevrons & markings (ON AN EXPRESSWAY WITH A DEAD END.. sigh..)
5. Extremely dead dark no lights after the proper left filter to SG (usually a tell tale sign that you have missed the filter). Only lit a little when you are approaching the barrier.

Hope the above info helps riders/pillions/drivers/passenger one way or another. I myself have missed the exit once in a while even though Perling used to be a weekly affair on weekend nights. To realize the mistake early, not only enables oneself to rectify it, most importantly it reduces the chance of a follower into mistake.
