Dude, u have got to try Dunlop GPR70SP....life will never be the same in those "mountain roads"....
I can't find GPRs here, probably due to the fact that there aren't many 400cc bikes around. How much are they in SG?

Hey guess what, there was a landslide somewhere along the twisty road up Awana. The incident swallowed a car and cubkia who happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. The whole stretch has been closed since. No more thrashing up Genting for us then. *sigh*

    Hi ppl,

Pls remember other than the Z ratings (speed rating), there are also weight ratings on tyres. Forgotten abt the ratings class, anyone has got it, care to share? So, no matter wether if the speed rating or watever stickiest compound souds good, remember to check if it is meant for the intened weight of yr bike. Cos if its meant for bigger bikes, means heavier weight class and needs a heavier bike to warm the tyres to proper 'stickiness'. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Btw, why no one discuss abt dual purpose tyres? hehe.
I'm using Pirelli Skorpion for my AT, $240 a pair with new set of Pirelli tubes. Quite lasting....more than 6 mths liao

    Thank you guys.
I changed mez1 about 2+ months ago. Dont know is because i buang when corner. but find it not sticky enough when it is not warm up. And my 125cc bike(not enough power) seems to need quite long for the tyre to warm up.

Maybe i should sell my tyre to my friend(since he wants mez) and change to gpr.

My rear tyres uses 190/60 ZR17, but sometimes quite diffcult to find 60. Wonder if it's OK to use 190/50 ZR17.

Any advise from any seasoned riders

My load rating for rear is 78W front is 62W. While it is easy to find tyres with the load rating for my front,it is quite hard to find the rating for my rear. So is it OK to use lower load rating for my rear, say 73W since the Bridgestone BT012SS seems appealing enough.

My pair of 010 was from Ah boy. It seem much cheaper than elsewhere.

Notice that no one mention getting from him? Why is that so?

If not, where would be a good place? My tires running out soon.

Hey, your ride manz, havent heard anything since the spill.
No news yet, that's why. Insurance is taking their own sweet time, what with the holiday season and all. Anyway, I don't expect to hear from them until January. At least.

What they'll give me definitely won't be enough to cover all repairs. I don't mind forking out a bit of cash to fix stuff, but so troublesome. I might as well save the cash, opt for a total loss write-off and get a ZX-6 or something.. Still haven't decided.

In the meantime, looking around for a cubkia to buy. Cheap cheap.. hehe..

Any idea when the Pirelli Diablo will be selling in SG?

My Stock BT011 front is still ok.... The BT010 rear is still alright during dry weather, but it is very slippery during wet weather.......

Still cant decide to get BT012SS or supercosa2 if Diablo is still not avaliable... Dun think will go track often, but wish to have good grip in dry weather but not compromise in wet weather too.....

    Rider32,

So long the tires are fresh and of a "sports" compound, there are an overkill for you. Be it the SC, M1 or Stones....you will not use up to even 70% of their capabilities....unless you track!

So buy within your budget and preference.

Im not so much corcern about normal riding, im just concern about the wet weather control and the stable of bumpy between the tyres....

Surprise surprise. I just changed my front tyre (BT012) at unity too. Feels so good to be using matching tyres (last time used a front metzeler and rear BT012). Most of my maintenance is done at unity, so see ya around rider32.

Currently seasoning the front tyre. Front pumped to 34psi and rear 36psi. Will give a field report on the BT012 after 2 weeks.

Hey my OEM D208ZR is wearing out soon. Maybe changing to a M1 sportec or BT012ss. Wun be going back to the stock D208 coz i spin up the rear quite a few times during trackdays even using 30/f 31/r psi. Its Sucks.. But regarding the BT012ss, heard that there r alot of cheong BTs out there. Is that any truth abt this myth?

according to some other forums, if u r going to track to eat those corners, you should pump your front to 32psi and rear 29psi.

From wad i heard from my friends who r regular trackdays addicts, using 29/r psi seem too much for a street tire as the flexing of the sidewall will be too much and will overheated. Street tires r mean to be operated in lower working temp in the street as oppose to the race compound tires which work in much higher temp and had a stiffer sidewall. I had friend who average 1.49 in PG and were using 30/f 30/r psi.. maybe its he been using SC2 so he can get away wif that setting. Anyway i will try playing ard wif the tires compound and psi and c wad the result is..

I using 34/f 36/r psi on the street, but wish to find the extra grip from the tires on the track by lower the pressure abit.

alo brader. u ride kap chai ah?

u getting 'sotong' tires? go across causeway. got alot of choice.
thai-made TT900 or local ferelli which comes in yummy green, yellow or candy red colours.

btw, its impossible to get 90/80-17 for bt96, 90, GPR70, etc.
    smallest is 110/70-18

This is a guideline only, start from
    Front 29PSI
    Rear 31PSI

I would very much prefer 28PSI front and 30 PSI rear if I'm using GPR70SP

33PSI front and 36PSI rear is way too much for your machine.
Thanks. I think i have the right pressure all the while too.
