    Hi jtzx,
Generally people from this forum pump:
    Front -> 200kpa - 225kpa
    Rear -> 200kpa - 280kpa

... and then again, it also depends if you pillion most of the time or not.

    Hi Guys,

Recently my tyres keep deflating but not entirely flat. The rear tyre reads 150+kpa before pumping air.

I pumped 280kpa. After a week or so, my pressure reading on the rear tyre reads 150+kpa again. Is this common?

Should i change tyres or the tyre valve? Thanks.

You've got a slow puncture. Bring to a shop and just tell the mechanic what u said in your post.
Or if you're feeling adventurous, there's always the old 'soap' method. Spray soapy water portion by portion on the tire and see if bubbles are formed. Pay attention to shiny bits of crap that you might've inadvertently pick up while riding. Can also check the valve the same way.
Then only decide the next step once you've identified the leak source.
    Have fun.

I need to change my Tyres soon for my CB400 Spec III.. Please give comments and suggestions..
Am a city commuter, dont really lup corners much.. but sometimes maybe a bit aggressive rider, using bike as a work transport. Main concern will be wet weather grip and mileage. advice on price range will be nice.

    Looking at these 3 sets
    Metz Sportec M5
    Metz Roadtec Z8
    Michelin Pilot Road 3

If 80% straight road, take Z8

If u flick around often n demand grip, take M5

Grip wise M5 is better than Z8..

Milage wise I believe Z8 will give u more km as it's harder compound

On my 3rd set of M5 .. Averaging ard 22k km each set, can go more

Tyre profile, M5 more pointy, easier to flick ard

Z8 more flatter in middle ..

Thanx for the advice HaiR1, Its your strong support of Sportec M5 that am so tempted to change to that.

My road to work are mostly long straight expressway. avg around 50km a day. thus if a set of M5 can avg 22k km, that should last me around 2 years.
The only concern with M5 is that am under utilizing it, I worry i will have uneven wear rate, and wear out the spine of the tyres before the sides.

    Shud be okay ...

Just remember to check n maintain the tyre pressure

Tyre botak middle got few causes.. One of it is the incorrect tyre pressure

M5 have 3 compound, hard center - medium side - soft edge

Z8 have 2 compound, hard center - medium side

Metzeler m5,more durable than m3 due to its compund structure. Just do a quick research and u'll eventually come to terms with the decision to use m5 instead of any other tyres. Unless u're rich, then u can be more adventurous and try those soft compound only tyres

My 3rd set of Metzeler M5 retiring soon after 27000km

Gonna try Continental SportAttack, since M5 no longer made in Germany but instead made in China

Default [Discussion] ~ Tyres Related Issue

So far I think only hkl and unique posts their tyre prices online along with their sizes. However, before u buy, please check your tire dates. Stack loads of 2012 tires still in the market, worse is they're being sold as new..

    UM ...

    Using for my Spec3

    Feedback about ContiSportAttack:

    -Great quality
-Grip, yet to test at Genting
-Tyre feel abit "higher" tho it's the stock size 160/60, due to the high tyre wall
-Can't really wack much compared to my prev M5, feel like bike on edge of tyre tho I'm at 60% of tat5 lean angle

Hi bros, allow me to share, just recently changed to a new set of tyres at LAB. Decided on Battlax T30 n damaged was $290. The cheapest among the shops I checked with. Hope it will serve me well n give m better milleage then it's predecessor, BT023.
