    Hi bro.

Nice choice of accessories but easy to get stolen.
If you put it without the rear pillion foot rest is more NICE

    Hi bro.

All of the seat cowl is a clip on.
    No screw intact.

    There are only two design.
The flat type and slide curve.
The price is about the same.

    Go for it

    Thanks

performance wise.. its willing to rev higher in every gear..

yes, i notice mist inside the headlight lenses during washing, but it goes away even without starting the bike and turning on the headlights.

my bike finally past the 1000km mark, so can consider running-in over. so wanna play and blow, the pickup is so shiok (but then again i jumped on the cbr after 4 years of TA150 ). but wah now i know what all those mags mean when they mention the 'chasm' at 9000rpm. between 8000rpm to 10,000rpm, the bike sounds harsh and the power/torque almost disappears; it feels exactly like i've hit the upper limit of the rev range and the rev limiter has kicked in.

dammit i still have yet to feel its peak torque @ 10,000 and peak power @ 13,000; coz i hit 9000 onli i immediately go and kick next gear, reflex action from hearing the harsh engine and drop in power and thus thinking upper limit, time to kick next gear . must get rid of all my 'ta150 habits'.

the bike very highly geared ah? even short shifting and without doing clutchless shift, on hard accelerations can definitely feel the rpm drops very little when kicking next gear. almost as if didn change thru the gears.

any 600RR owners tried adding teeth to rear sprocket (or decreasing teeth front)? apparently 1 or 2 teeth at rear improves low-down torque without significantly decreasing top end (unless u wkend warrior blast down NSH at 200kmh of coz). wondering if it will feel better.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

    Hi bro.

    Minus 1 in front.
    Add 2 at rear.
Good in low and mid but looooose high leh.
Sure can feel unless you got elephant skin
At 9k rpm the exhaust sound louder with aftermarket.

Don't try this at NS highway.
It will become the joke in town.

    Thanks

By the way, I read in all previous thread. Someone looking for single seater cowls at E-bay is very much more expensive, trust me. Been looking at the pages every few days for about 2 months. Not worth the deal man...

Also, yes after a heavy rain the center small headlight will get a bit of watery inside.

And hey, I have a pair of used tinted headlight protector for CB600RR/1000RR for sale 2nd hand. Used for 2 month only cos I customised my own to a thicker width (3mm) cos the headlight pro onli 1mm. Going for $25/= onli. Retail $50 outside.

Hope to get more news from u guys soon to discuss about the bike.

    Hi.

after changing ur sprocket sizes, how do u correct ur bike's mileage meter? just left it like that? i've heard of a device called 'yellow box' available in europe which corrects the bike's (any model bike) mileage meter real-time for those who change sprocket, but donno if available here.

and what thing dun try at NSH?

    Hi.

after changing ur sprocket sizes, how do u correct ur bike's mileage meter? just left it like that? i've heard of a device called 'yellow box' available in europe which corrects the bike's (any model bike) mileage meter real-time for those who change sprocket, but donno if available here.

and what thing dun try at NSH?
if u just increase e rear sprocket.. dun have to get e "meter healer"
if possible, dun drop e front.. guage will mis-read..
    ideal case is 15F 45R

thanx. i'll leave the front sprocket alone then. mebbe i'll add one or two teeth rear when i change chain n sprocket later on in my bike's life.

    Mineral VS Synhthetic

just changed my EO and filter @1000km today. the shop was insisting i use mineral, then change minearl again @ 2000, and @ 3000 change to sythetic.

i know this used to be the norm for bikes up to a decade ago, but izzit realli necessary for today's crop of bikes?

i read up and found the following article in a mag, about a reader asking his brand new GSX-R750K4, first service shd he use synthetic or non-synthetic:

"A lot of people use fully synthetic oils without too much problem, but there have been mutterings that a fully synthetic oil shouldn't be used in new bikes because it may not allow the bike to reach its full power output. The friction modifiers in later oils may also cause clutch slip as your bike uses a wet clutch. Your best bet is to stick to what the manual says, we couldn't recommend anything else."

manual says change @ 1000 and thereafter every 12,000. thats all. as for the oil, it only recommends 10w40 (this rating no issue, i noe what it means and other ratings suitable or not for my bike); and to use API SH or higher, but not with energy conservation.

i eventually insisted on synthetic, and my bike now has motul 300v. the label fits the manual recommendation, and i kind of believe in my manual. i donno what the rating for the mineral oil; and actually if the rating clearly not what the manual says, i'd be very hesitant to use it despite what anybody says.

wondering if people here agree with me or not.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

Hi all, I'm new in this thread and I have a quick question. Does any of you (especially those riding the F4i generation) feel a lack of power from your bike - for example, when pulling away from the lights, overtaking a car on the expressway or gunning out of a corner?

The reason I'm asking is because I had intended to upgrade to a literbike, but realized that I won't be putting it into the powerband most of the time. On the other hand, I am already feeling the limits of my SV650.

ur v-twin sv650 already has more torque than any inline-4 600cc, so if its pickup u looking for, mebbe shd look beyond inline-4 600s.

i declare first i've never ridden sv650, but my fren on an 05 gsx-r6 got on my bike and almost stalled the bike on moving off, coz the 600RR realli lacking in torque. and he's 'only' on a gsx-r6; so prepare to miss ur torque. it wont just be in moving off, i can tell u that. of coz, this is all relative to other similar bikes; i dun mean to say the 600RR so lacking in torque that a shadow400 could pull past it.

but to be honest, i dun see how ur sv650 could feel slow in moving off or overtaking vehicles. on normal conditions, i dun face any probs; but i not so sure it'd be a big improvement over ur sv650.

and corners, well i already said it lacks torque, although it would probably out-turn ur sv650 coz it handles better. so whether the final verdict of which bike u'd enjoy cornering more, kind of undecided. since i've only ever ridden a hornet6, i can only say the 600RR turns far more confidently than the hornet (which is already a very sweet handling bike) and the 600RR's front feels very planted to the road at big lean (i tot big lean the hornet's front feels very vague) and takes on chosen lines very well. a bit of understeer if u 'relax' on the corner though.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

hmmm..for me the cbr is ok..it has the power to overtake vehicles..juz that the crusing speed between 80-100 feel bad..its nice to ride the bike at 110 onwards..whereby the rpms are at 5-7k..the bike does corner well esp the RR's as the ground clearance is higher compared to the F's..u can scrape ur knee in the track anytime...!!plus it stays where u want it..& it accelerate as soon as u open that throttle..as the FI are juz sweet!!

    Hi bro.

As I said earlier when you change the
spocket to 15 45 you will lose the top end.

It is the basic that you can't never have both world.
What I mean is either you get the low end or high end.
    You can't get both.

    Thanks

Yeap, my point of view exacts what Mechwira have said. To say that the SV650 has very good pickup is agreeable indeed & he could or should look into a higher CC bike if you need/prefer more pickup & power. Of cos, like any other bikes, the 600RR has it's own pros & cons. Why? I had the chance to use my friend's Yamaha 04 R6 & I can personally say it does have an effect on my riding so much so that I was even thinking of exhanging his bike with mine! (Glad it was just a thought). Good pick-up tho; you would have to get used to throttle respond at a lower rpm during cornering & the handling is quite different. End of day, would still stick to my Honda as I think it turns much better & I feel safer ...

    Just a thought...

I am riding the F4i... but nt sure abt the power cos its my first time riding a cls 2 bike... but i've read from a bike magazine.. which is about the "battle of the 600's" which includes the 04 models of the Triumph Daytona, Yamaha R6, Honda CBR 600RR, Honda 600 F4i, Kawasaki ZXR600, and Suzuki GSXR600. The Honda F4i has the fastest pickup from 0-60 (but i dunno issit in km/h or miles/hr) with a timing of below 4 seconds and the others all clocked above 4 secs, but from 60-100... the F4i has the worst timing other than the Triumph Daytona.... The k4 has the best rating overall and surprisingly... the R6 has the worst rating along with the Triumph Daytona, the kawa is rated 2nd and both the Honda's were even at 3rd/4th.... but still all bikes have their own advantages... and their power all come at different timings... jus have to see which one u prefer..

Thanks to everyone who replied! I have decided that my next bike will be a literbike (or 800cc -- who knows if by the time I have the money, 1000cc may already been phased out due to the new MotoGP rule).

So do you guys frequently put the bike into its powerband in the high rpms? What I mean is daily riding on public roads -- I know we'll all love to blast the throttle on NSH or PG.

My favorite 600cc is still the F4i. It's a timeless design and is not as aggressive as the RR, which makes it a little better for longer trips. I just wish Honda would put a more powerful motor into it.
