i just renew my insurance $178 (ntuc less 20% NCD 5% other discount)... how much u guys pay ?
i'm 22 this year.
if u stay 3 yrs with ntuc with no claims, u r entitled 20% ncd, plus 5% loyalty. n if u buy diectly, another 5%. total 30% less.
hi guys
someone pls feedback on this "money saving" suggestion whether it can work or not
case:
young chap buy bike as owner, insurance very expensive ... lets say $1200
if get dad to buy bike, ah pek with experience pay lower premium mah ... lets say $600
then dad add son as sub-rider... will sub-rider premium be <$600?
if much less, good deal coz both dad-n-son can ride the bike... both are covered
any difference in coverage for main & sub-rider?
if this method can work... then many young riders can benefit also![]()
may all be well and happy

try to survery around, ask different companies might give different qoutes.
different staffs from the same company might give different qoutes too.
i got mine 2nd party for $886. kinda cheap i guess which was around 4 months ago by NTUC.
most prob i ride a phantom, and my dad/sis/mom is her client. heh heh.
got the whole family covered up by the same staff..
well anyways, another qoute i got from NTUC as well for 2nd party = $1k++
if you want cheap cheap, wait till 21. by then, you can take your 2a, class 2, and insurance will be cheaper, if you buy a 2b bike. no pplates too!.
For every 7 pounds you lose, you gain one horsepower.
Manage to dig up this thread.
Other than pricing for FV Ta200, wld like to check the procedure to get the insurance cert done up. Which company cheapest and easier to settle for 3rd Party Fire & Theft?
I am 27 this yr and passed my 2b in 2003.

Check NTUC. Price might be lesser but you'll have to go there directly. There's one in Jurong East.![]()

Did a check yesterday after i finally collected my newest insurance cert.
Prices for someone like me on 3rd party (bearing in mind the price hikes in 2007 for young riders):
AXA (my current one) - $288 + $20 (GST) = $308.
Mitsui - $920 without GST.
I have the best signature.
TheYasMan, does it include fire and theft or just third party only?
Where to get AXA ah?

I believe it is. I've been using NTUC for as long as i can remember. Did insurance job before and NTUC seem to be the lowest of all the about 30 insurance company in singapore.
But in the event if you need to make any claims, you must go to their Authorised worshop unless its a 3rd party claims.
Another thing is that, you'll will have to go direct to their branch for better pricing.
AIG and AXA they are one of the most expensive insurance premium but claimming very easy no hassle.
So my advice is, if youre buying 3rd party insurance then best to use NTUC. Make no much different in claimming term and agreement.

For your age, NTUC that cheap? I really doubt it.
The pricings are somewhat along the line of Mitsui's, so long as i know.. At least for 2006-2007.

Not sure about Mitsui's. True, age and what you do play a factor. To those who required renewal check it out first and compare, wont burn your finger.
Another thing about NTUC the price is always lesser when you go to their branch directly.
Good luck.....and may the force be with you....![]()

coz mine is FR plate, next year gonna mati liao =(
The pain of discipline is nothing like the pain of disappointment

ntuc $541
misu $881

2 years riding experience plays little or no effect, to have caused such a low quotation. Did you say your age clearly? It's pretty crazy to pay -that- little for our age bro.
Maybe your old bike's age got to do with it, yeah. Never considered it.
I dont know.
Exactly how i thought the graph chart stands as of 2006 till now.
I have the best signature.
so strange..called all the number of the respective companies and they refer me to the same broker or agent...
anyway NTUC quote 400 for TPFT...364 for AXA... wondering if there is a need to get fire and theft coverage or just third party will do...
i dun intend to go JB la..just concerned abt those pple burning my bike at HDB flats...haha...
