What to do, bikes are so open to the general public. There should be some camera placed around the bike-slots area for a security company to monitor. Can't save those suspensions since it takes approximately 10 minutes to remove them but can save if someone tries something that takes longer. Cost a lot, effect's little. But better than nothing. xD

Its better to pay 50 bucks one time, than pay so much for repair costs due to vandalism or stuff being stolen very often

If $50 for a one time fee i don't mind, at least i got a peace of mind when i go out without my bike or when i'm at home.

But then for that i doubt HDB will do anything about it. Covering your bike is still the best option. 1 more thing i think it's still quite good is to know the aunty in-charge of your block. Once she remembers you and your bike, then easy le.. lolz..

Wat ever safe guard device use, it only delay some time for those culprick to get their 'job' done.
just pray that, that 'some time' can buy 'some time' for those who saw the ugly scene pick up the phone and call 999.
and 'hope' the 999 can make it in time! thats all.

    Default suspension guards

Refer to the top of the page about the "suspension guards" I think it's refer to certain model of bike where people like to steal the suspension or gold color piece from the picture you can see. Nothing to do with the rest of the parts of the bike.

They should catch a few of these thieves and put their picture in the papers, send them to long jail term with big fines. Make it a warning to others.

Even how you guard any parts of your bike, culprit can still steal the whole bike instead.

If they wanna steal d whole bike then too bad. WE can only make the efforts to show/hint to the thieves that we love & care for our bikes and hence we r installing alarms or covering up the bikes. And yet if they wanna steal, it really shows either they r brainless or heartless or both. Or they got no money to afford a bike and so they have to resort to stealing. Anyway wat goes around comes around.

I think It's better for them to steal the whole bike than to steal the parts, you can claim the insurance when the bike being stolen, but you can not claim when the parts are one..

That time my fren told me that some even went to steal the bike covers. That's what happened to him. But pple can juz walk up to a bike holding 1 helmet, i don't think passerby will even think twice. They will juz assume that the bike is theirs. That time i was doing my own maintenance and taking out my parts, nobody came to bother me. What if i'm a thief, you'll nv know.

If u don't want to lose ur bike cover, try designing the bike cover with ur number plates on it. Insideout. That way u would know who would use ur bike cover in the area. So far mine's stick intack until 1 day i accidently drop it on the way to work. Haiz. Now go to buy a new one n redesign it again.
