    Default [Group] Suzuki B-King

Suzuki's new concept bike B-King looks like it could leave every other bike way behind at the traffic lights. And I'm pretty sure it could do that, too. Imagine Suzuki GSX1300 Hayabusa with a super charger - that's exactly what B-King engine is. There's no exact engine data available but we know that Hayabusa gives 175 bhp and a super charger could easily add 50% more power. 240 bhp has mentioned. Holy cow!!! That's about twice as much as what the GSX1400 engine delivers.

GSX1400 has the same tire dimensions as Hayabusa. 120 at the front, 190 at the rear. B-King uses 150 and 240 tires! They must have created a new tire model just for B-King...

Materials like carbon fiber, stainless steel, aluminum and leather were used building this awesome superbike. An advanced computer system is integrated to the bike. There are self-diagnosis systems, advanced telemetry, which can use a mobile phone for remote maintenance, setup options, and even a GPS-based weather warning system, in case you are heading for a rained out area, and much more. The engineers at Suzuki are supposed to design a helmet with a GPS navigation system using the visor as a display.

The bike is started using a fingerprint recognition system. There's also a advanced thief alarm system. If an unauthorized person tries to start or move the bike the owner gets notified of it immediately by his/her mobile phone. There's a microphone and a speaker built in the bike so the owner can speak with the thief by the phone. If a speaking motorcycle doesn't scare off the thief, you can activate light and sound alarm and the GPS system helps locating the bike if it actually gets stolen.

And so on. In my opinion the B-King looks really great and it's filled with fantastic gismos and fun stuff like led flashers acting like a color display if you want. But don't rush to the dealer yet - B-King is not for sale. Not yet anyway...

more info can be found here.

look at the fully coloured LCD screen on the dashboard!!!!!

Get the B-King 13000 better..... at 240bhp compared to the Hayabusa's 175 bhp.... holy cow!!!

GSX1400 has the same tire dimensions as Hayabusa. 120 at the front, 190 at the rear, but the B-King uses 150 and 240 tires!

If a speaking motorcycle doesn't scare off the thief, you can activate light and sound alarm and the GPS system helps locating the bike if it actually gets stolen.

looks like the bike dun come cheap.... at least $30-40k?

    240 rear tyre!!!

GOod luck with tyre changes man... Even the Busa's 190 is a headache already, limited choice.

I think the GSX1400 is sold for around 20k. Torque monster!

sure bo.. 240 rear leh... not only limited choices.. freaking exp oso.. if really get that then confirm siao one loh.. imagine every 4-6mths a new pair of tyres.. sianz....

price too exp also.. it is good to have such advance technologies on a bike.. but is putting such technologies on a bike cost effective? i mean.. there are so many technology that we dont use in our daily life.. to me.. the only thing useful is probably the anti theft system(they can do without fingerprint recognition).. the others leh.. they shd have them as add-ons.. so that the cost price of the bike itself is much lower..

If it's commonly found, then it's quite a relief for me cos I'm doing some budget calculations to book that bike due to my low pay.

    Hi all,

Let's begin discussin the Suzuki B-King.

Reports say they will begin production and will reach delarships in end 2007, appearing as an early 2008 model. They were referring to USA and UK dealerships.

Does anyone have any idea if there's a possibility of them being in SG?

The bike primarily has a Hayabusa engine, with the tech add ons similar to the GSR600, another close cousin. Originally designed to include turbo to boost its power range, the final design had the turbo option ommitted, pretty clever considering if they didn't want to eclipse the Suzuki Racing bike models.

All in all, its a mean bike.. read abt it...

    Cheers

    Check with Looi's.
Very HIGH chance they are bringing it in.

    But most prolly as PI.
I'd love to get my hands on this baby.
But too bad they decided to remove the mini-supercharger (not turbo) in the production model.

My other concern would be tyre-size. Heard rumours it might be a non-standard size (210 or 220 for the rear). Would be an issue when comes to a tyre change as might end up having to wait weeks for a pair of tyres to be specially shipped in.

The official (but not ready) site:

whatever it is, it's definitely gonna be a monster..
    mods done:
    powerplant device, fuel injector venturis,
underseat cylindrical air filter, bassy stock cans,
    super-sensitive in-built gyroscope, inertia-based accelerometer,
    streamlined panniers (zero drag),
taped up wires, exposed grounding wires,
    TBC mounted, custom tire pressures.

    litre bikes watch out!

Yeah, the uk site has a some info in it as well, great link.

Which comes to the other question? is that an authorised dealer for suzuki motorcycles?

is it very much a parallel import process for most of the bikes in sg? ie, Mah, looi, etc.

The B-king's really sweet, bet the price's really sweet too..

Guan Hoe is the agent for Suzuki motorcycles here but really, I would say Hong Leong and Boon Siew is much better. Guan Hoe dun even have a website and their workshop closes exactly at 5pm.

I hope the riding the Bking is smooth, cornering and all that, I dont expect racing bike dynamics, but I wont be happy with sluggish responses and heavy turns.

Hopefully its priced like under 30k, going by the hayabusa market range right now.

I dont think will below 30K. I think the price is more than a Hayabusa. Even the machine is cheap but i believe the maintenance also wouldn't be cheap lor.

    No, may not be fake.
Could be its using a single large muffler with 2 exhaust outlets, like the GSR.

    http://www.suzuki-gb.co.uk/bikes/det...ref=bking&y=k7
Its priced as GBP 9000 with taxes.
Tats about SGD 27000 before COE & insurance.
Think it may hit the SGD 30000 mark liao.

Think better to wait a while first for those getting this bike. Early next year might be the best time.

It's gonna be a pig to manhandle. A drag bike more likely.

This clip seems to say otherwise:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06obf_vQKbc

I am still concerned about its dry weight.
But I guess all feels featherweight at speed.

I'm basing the assumption on the experience my friend had on his Busa up Genting with 2 tired old 600cc bikes with pillions on board. The Busa was one up. Both 600s went up with relative ease. The Busa rider was tired out of his wits reaching upon reaching the top in last place. And he's a pretty damned good rider to boot too.

Can't argue with physics. A heavy bike with a long wheelbase will always be a b1tch to throw around.
