    In HK is even more ex than FZ1 so might get the FZ1...More powerful....Paying more for less......If priced between Fz1 and FZ6 then might be interesting....

    seems like the handling and ride can be as close as its senior FZ1000. Kind of dilemma to choose between this two.

    I went to see the actual bike in Hong Leong and one word to discribe it.. Fierce! Indeed it is difficult to choose which to ride, but for sure the FZ8 better fuel consumption then FZ1.. lol..

    If I will wanted to choose in between this two bike then I will go for FZ8-S. I don't tour out of singapore often so I think 800cc FZ8 will be sufficient.

    hmm.. the specs almost the same but the bore size is diffrent..
    so far have seen review stating the FC better than FZ1.. if so, i would take Fazer 800 over FZ1 even though there's no adjustable front suspension cos i also donno how to do the set up.. hehehe

    Although the bike price is near to FZ1, but there are still some differences.. For example, the road tax compare to FZ1 is cheaper by $25 and the FC reviewed by other riders deemed to be better then FZ1 and you got to see whether are you a tourer or just Fazer Fans.. If you are Fazer fans might just as well take FZ8 as it got new facelift.. Just my 2cents..

    I'm pretty sure one will be able to tell between the FZ6 & FZ1, but how about FZ8 & FZ1?
    I happen to saw 1 FZ8 on road few days back not knowing it's a 800 cos it looks so 'alike' as the 1.
    So for those who want an easier method of diff between the two, I've post some pics to help u.
    *Dun flame mi if i'm wrong, my ex-ride is a FZ6S2.


    From the back, u'll notice that the exhuast is 'dual-tip'


    Up close on the pillion grip, it's kinda CF look.


    On the side, look out for the YAMAHA logo.
    FZ1 is on the tank (ifI'm not wrong)
    FZ8 is on the fairing.


    From the rider view, it's pretty obvious.
    - The side panel
    - Thriple clamp
    - Switches?

    I prefer the fairing and exhaust of the FZ1.

    Well, if the price diff is not substantial, then hard to justify buying the FZ8 over the FZ1, unless the fuel consumption is that of the FZ6.
    If you are already paying something like 90% price of the litre FZ1, might as well go all the way and spend that few K and get the full bike.

    fz8 headlight are sharper and slimmer than fz1..

    can tell from a distance actually..

    fz8 headlight very similar to fz6..

    haha... Fazer 6 S3? I would say till now FZ6 has a good styling. N version very nice too.

    saw yesterday at 1 of the bike shop (dono whether appropriate to name the bike shop here or not..) OTR S$17.5k.. tat is what the sales guy say, neve ask much coz i just pay inst n go...

    to me, regarding no adjustable front suspension.. unless going track.. ..

    its personal interest whether to get FZ1 or FZ8 since the price has no great difference.. but if one person 'value for $$' is in consideration den FZ1 is for them.. i'll give myself till mid next year to take FZ8s..

    pics of my new toy! either im aware theres a heated argument now over gettin an Fz1 over an Fz8. but i guess it's all boils down to wat actually the rider wants. For me i love the Fz8 design over an Fz6 . And im least interested in top end power as im neva gonna use it unless im on touring . for me i jus feel fz8 had as excellent torque within the mid range which satisfy my needs. so cheers for everyone whose gettin Fz6, 8 or 1! we are all STILL a fazer family!!

    yes i agree on what u said... it's up to each individuals...
    anyway, u can't use the full torque / speed in SG road too, not even on a fz6 too...

    yes yes i was the one who went over there..since its the first fz8 he touchin he did some exploring of the bike and took some technical details and perfomance while doing the dyno.

    u better not have any neighbour man, if not it ll be a tough time bringin ur dark angel out , its jus dam squeezy in there!

    not sure the shop beside it that got the noisy Starhub doggie there...

    no need me to push it out mah, his mechanic will do the work...
    i dun care who he placed there to be my neighbour, as long there is not scratches or wadever mark when i took it out will do...

    thank you , i bought my bike from BP, well based on my 2 days of riding let me give u my review

    pros:

    -it has excellent mid range torque kickin in from 3500rpm with jus a small twist.
    -gd comfortable riding posture
    -it feels lighter then my revo
    -gd handling
    -a head turner at traffic lights hehe
    -fuel consumption i cant confirm now cos jus did a hard run in so have to ovserve first .

    cons:
    - i don like the pipes.
    - non adjustable forks
    - cant fit my rain coat into the pillon seat
    - no helmet locks.

    gani_1986, time to look into aftermarket exhaust?
    that day i was there (the day when i took that picture), i was chatting with ah shui...
    we had a common agreement that the owner of that bike will 99% say that the pipe looks sucky and going to change it... hehehehe...

    LOL no wonder I find the road so familar, its the famous BP lor. The N model, simply a head turner.
    Good good, if you can feel the torque around 3.5K RPM would be nice... how you feel about the seat? From looks it gave me a stiff feel. The cutting of the tank looks good, should have a good grip on it.
    Does the rear shock adjustable?
    So what aftermarket pipe they gonna introduce?

    if FZ1 GP style exhaust - short in length, cone like pipe (*forgotten if its Leo Vince) thrown into FZ8 would be real nice.

    FZ1 got too many "poison", should be able to fit on to it brother FZ8!

    wow feels lighter than revo? must be damn good to 'flick' the bike for corners then.
    most of the pple dun like the pipes..
    yeah non adjustable suspensions are a waste.. small modifications and you can lock your helmet already. rain coat can put in box mah.. your helmet as well.
