well the bike is 200cc so power wise is ok ok. since it is a good 200 cc. so even with pilllion moving off from traffic is still ok.

FC is abt 36-40km/l. abt 380 km i will top up fuel.
as they say you normally dun find good FC with very high top speed . if it can go very fast usually use more fuel.

can not compare with pulsar 200. some say can reach 650 km per tank. dunno if it is true.

well for my speed i usually travel at 100-110 km per hr when the road is clear.in JB
top speed some say 150kph, some say 160 kph. i reach 130 kph and stop gasing for more speed. for me no need to go so fast. any more than 110kph is good for me.

pricing of the bike is abt the same with the basic commuter bike plus minus a few hundred. if u try comparing different dealer you will find a good deal for you $$$.

i bought bike from ban hong bro.
    $6500 w/o IU.
    the agreement fee is $200.
    interest is 5%( i think)
3rd insurance free but i top up to 2nd party just in case,
no free box i pay $180.
free helment ( useless very uncomfortable) where got free and good (WGFAG)
free rain coat( useless 1st time use whole body wet) (WGFAG)

the impt thing is to like what u have. since you bought it .

Thanks for a great review and information. Pulsar 200 has a bigger petrol tank, thus, higher mileage before top up and yes, their FC seems better but I think FC of 36 to 40km per litre is pretty good. U're right on the freebies...CMI. I rather they reduce the price and I buy my own helmet/raincoat.

when i was given a choice in paying full cash or installment, the fella quoted paying installment would be 6%.

200cc got advantage over 150cc with pillon from traffic lights.Torque is enough to move off without having to rev much.Got an Uncle werking in Airport had been using for 2 mths and so far impressed. After break in and servicing he tried top speed in JB,Managed to get 145kmh...Maintaning 100-115kmh on highways not much problem.Wanna smooth top end downsize 2 size of your rear sprocket and see how.

Take note this is a 2B bike from Honda, so standard servicing applies. Own the bike for 10 mths now, servicing I have done include changing EO, spark plugs, every ~3 mths like that. Other stuff I have done include changing to aftermarket mirrors, headlight bulb, wash air filter, etc. I suspected my carburator had some problems, so I had it serviced as well to be safe. So far no problems, in terms of bike workshops servicing the bike cause at the end of the day, it's just like any other 2B bike.

    Hi,

    anybody wanna sell their Tiger?
Because of him the lame walked briskly,
And the songless through him burst into melody.

I have hit between 125 to 130km/h on straight clear road. But that is the max speed for stock condition bike, cause when full throttle, it will not go any faster. Anyway, cruising between 90-110km/h is effortless on the the Tiger... ... Upsss for the 6th gear!

Like i mentioned before, this is a class 2B bike from Honda, hence it's just basic maintenance like EO and spark plugs. Should not be in excess on $20-30 per 3 mths or so. The fuel tank is ~13L but I never like to hit reserve, so I usually pump when around 2 L left. So 11L on shell 95 gives me about 400 km these days. Last time managed to stretch at around 450km, but I dont do it anymore. I bought it like almost a year ago, bike ($6.8k) + insurance (tpft 22 yr $900+) to total was close to around $8k for me.

So far the bike is pretty good. No major issues so far. Pick-up wise is good, then crusing speed of 90-110 is pretty good. Nowadays i maintain 90 km/h, dont wanna risk go faster. Up to gear 5 can reach abt 85km/h... so higher need to change to gear 6. Both front and back is disc brake also. Yup...

Hey all. I thought it would be useful to post some personal feedback on the Tiger, cause some of you may be wondering how this bike is like in the long-term, and many of you have concerns maintanance-wise. My Tiger just recently crossed the 1 year mark, and should be hitting the 10,000 km mileage in the next one-two weeks or so. Anyway just last week went for routine maintanance again, changed EO and sparkplug. After trial-and-tested methods with diff grades of EO, I think semi-synthetic is the best for the Tiger. My last 2 EO changes were semi-synthetic and the bike performs very well with it. Earlier on I used fully-syn, but I felt that it was a lil to 'smooth' to a point where I couldnt 'feel' the bike. Each time I change EO, i change the sparkplug as well. So damage in total is ~$20.

I believe that given the time-frame and mileage clocked, the bike is more or less run-in already. I have been a little more friendlier recently with the throttle as I noticed if I maintain ~90km/h on highway, it gives me very good fuel economy as compared to my throttle-happy days of 100-120km/h. Can clock at least 400 km on full tank without hitting reserve. With proper throttle control, I have been up to 450 km as well.

Maintanance-wise I have brought down my bike to a couple of bike-shops and all have been able to service my bike. No problem. Once again I repeat myself, it's a normal 2B Honda bike. Overall I am quite pleased with the Tiger's performance. Looks good, performs well, and I think it is quite a practical street bike for all riders. But of course after riding it for prolonged periods, you will eventually feel the limit of the bike, but we have to understand that it is only a 2B bike, so ya, lack of power, haha. Apart from this, the bike is mostly stock condition, cause not much after market parts for Tiger. I only changed some stuff like mirrors. The stock exhaust is big and striking, but it's chromed, so after rain must wipe of if not got water-spots after it is dried.

Yup, no problem man! The Honda Tiger community in Singapore is already non-exsistant so I try to make an effort to promote the bike, haha! Woah I am not sure whether 'easily' can give 500 km mileage for full tank la, but I believe it might be possible. If you are very very disciplined with the throttle, like strictly stick to 90km/h, then I think you can hit the 450-500 km range. I have hit 450km before when I am disciplined, but by then the fuel gauge was dangerously at the empty marking, and I never like to engage reserve. I tend to be a little throttle happy, like 100-110km/h, but this one I can GUARANTEE chop 400km mileage for full tank top up. I think every bike owner has to trial-and-error to find out how what is the best way for their bike.

Hey chaos7727, care to share how much u got it for?

and also @ PolarisX: How's the vibration at 90-100 km/h? will adding weights to handlebar help?
am seriously considering this bike but at the same time worried about vibration coz I rode a kup chai before and the vibration it gave me once i hit 60km/h is damn scary
