actually me quite like the design too...although....it don't really look like a mean adv machine, that can tackle serious stuffs...

but anythg new from Honda is still lovely...Spoke to Mr Lee....he said this is Made in Italy.Something like the xt660z.Engine from Japan, design and engineered in Italy.

And best off all,he said it would be cheaper than the current XT1200Z.So let's wait.

Honda say concept, look like a production model to me. But finally something NICE from Honda! It's been so so long...

Cheaper than XT1200Z?? Cheaper than R1200GS maybe more accurate

why do i keep having the feeling that the runner is 'bigger' than the tourer?

Ok here's like what Mr Lee told me.

I asked him...the price will definately be more expensive than the XT1200Z rite?

    Mr Lee said....wont be...cheaper....

Then I said...then how much is the VFR1200 you selling?

    Mr Lee....$36k.

Me...There....surely the new CrossTourer will cost around that range bah!Since they're having the same engine.

Mr Lee...Well,the CrossTourer is Made in Italy.just like the XT660Z.using japanese tech, with Italian styling.Unlike the VFR1200 which is made in Japan. So it will be cheaper.

So basically....it's just a conversation afterall....But we can wait and see....If Boon Siew won't bring in...definately Loois will PI them.

The crossrunner would be great if can add a set of panniers like the VFR1200 for touring.

Running on V4 engines similar to the ST11 and 13 and VFR.

4 cyclinders definitely more power and smoother..

From what i gather, the XT fuel consumption will be around: manual gear = 16,1 km/lt , DCT in D mode = 16,7 km/lt
    So, 16km/lt x 17 lt = 272 reserve , 16 km/lt x 21,5 = 344 km total autonomy.

Panniers fixed using 03 points which integrated to the bike. No unsightly metal brackets....

Looks wise, I think this at least qualifies for an alternative to GS
So... it looks like the DCT is the scooter version? Auto?

that's value for money... doubt it can be so cheap anyway. A GSA cost £11,475 OTR in UK for the lowest spec. Here is goes for $45k... maybe more.

    This CT1200 weight 270kg? That's more heavy then a XT1200(261kg) or GS1200(255kg).

Kerb weight is 275kg, 127hp, 93ft.lbs torque. Power to weight ratio, it will be a sweet ride.

Just look at the Fatgerl(Varadero) whilst on the move all those numbers dont matter. Its very responsive. I bet the XTourer to be on par, if not better than its predecessor. But all in all, its still yet to be proven.

never wanted to belittle or discredit any model or what so ever for the below. just pure data from internet and some math sum.

    BMW R1200GSA
    PWR : 110hp ( 81kw) @7750rpm
    Torque : 120nm @6000rpm
    Weight : 256kg
    Power-weight ratio : 0.429hp/1kg
    http://www.bmwmotorrad.com.sg/newmot...0gsa_data.html

    Yamaha Super Tenere XT1200
    PWR : 110hp ( 80.9kw) @7250rpm
    Torque : 114.1nm @6000rpm
    Weight : 261kg
    Power-weight ratio : 0.421hp/1kg
    http://www.yamaha-motor.eu/eu/produc...view=techspecs

    Honda CrossTourer
    PWR : 127hp ( 95kw) @7750rpm
    Torque : 126nm @6500rpm
    Weight : 275kg
    Power-weight ratio : 0.461hp/1kg
    http://www.mcnews.com.au/2012_Bikes/...urer_Intro.htm

From the above direct compare....one can see that the New crosstourer has the highest HP vs weight. however do note that it torque that push the bike forward hence on a straight pickup, the High torque will come later then the GSA or Super Tenere but can say the Super Tenere will be left behind with it weaker 114Nm torque while the GSA 120Nm will have a close fight with the 126Nm Crosstourer.

whats left is the "price" of ownership for this beauty....GSA range of $48k? or Super Tenere of S$33k?

    RIDE it while u can.....NOT when u want !.
