I have had my galaxy s for less than a year, but I find that it is getting slower and slower. Like take longer and longer to launch simple apps like phonebook and SMS.
My firmware is up to date.
What should I do?

I have had my galaxy s for less than a year, but I find that it is getting slower and slower. Like take longer and longer to launch simple apps like phonebook and SMS.

You know what? I'm having the same problem. Every time I turn off my phone now, and turn it on again, this icon that I just placed in there quite recently would always disappear and I have to go to applications to put it back in. It looks like Android isn't gonna catch up anytime soon... I have a problem deleting photos that I captured during a certain period late last year. It seems to take forever and the work doesn't get done, end task and try again still doesn't work... My phone keeps hanging and restarting 3months ago also while attempting to launch messages or gallery.
Don't know what to do, could be the new android firmware, previously before I update it was okay.

Woah that's is a major technical issue. Should enquire with service centre. That kind of lagginess would really makes me blow up.
But gotta admit the samsung windows phone is really awesome. The interface and functions are mind blowing
maybe clearing up some apps will help, try deleting the unused apps that are still on your phone.
oh ya for android phone, you can hold the home button then click on 'task manager' and then 'Ram' and 'clear memory'. No data on your phone will be deleted, it merely clears up some temporary storage data
Android ftw! Without even the need to root the phone u can customise ur phone with launchers. With rooting, need I to say?! Black market! Hooo hooo hoooo!

i only know my sumsung note is fantastic ..

maybe its simply because its an android phone. android phone tends to get laggy after some time. this is based on my past experience.

i guess it will get slower as you download more apps and have more files on your phone (photos, videos etc)
do a phone reset first
i recomend u to use xiaomi 4x
