Hi. This thread is for the new FZ16 Ver 2 which is known as FZ FI or FZN150 in Singapore. It is a fuel injection bike different from the carburettor in the older version. Feel free to post anything with regards to the bike here.

For running in, the mileage is good. Probably it's due to the fuel injection system!

Well I just runned 500km another 500km more then will go for first servicing.

Running just as per manual stated. First 500km do not forcefully revved till 4500rpm, which means slowly can hit 4500rpm but try not to constantly stay above 6500rpm for long duration. Another 500km to reach 1000km, within this try not to revved till 6500 forcefully.

I think that will be good enough. Btw just ride normal but do not revved too fast.

If u dont mind the high 1st hand price, FZ V2 is a great starter bike. Just right for city riding. Excellent fuel consumption. Looks good with/without box Basically a pt A to B bike.

But then there's also the 2nd hand bike market out there. Used fz16s going for 8k - 9k COE till 2022/23 etc. Perfect if you plan to upgrade to bigger bike. Just make sure to bring an experienced rider friend along. and also the extra cash to spend on the inevitable used-bike-COCK-UP-PARTS. Speaking from experience of course.

I think that will be good enough. Btw just ride normal but do not revved too fast.

for running in, esp for new riders, remember to warm up the bike thoroughly before the run in. this is to ensure the parts in the bike is heat up properly to prevent any uneven wearing during the run in.

there is hard run in and soft run in. hard run in is to run the bike to maximum rev n let go and repeat a few times for gear 1 to 5. soft is to rev stage by stage. same, repeat a few times for gear 1 to 5. important is to rev through all gears at all range.

oil change, first 200km is good to change. 1 litre of oil isn't alot and during run in, metals filings are swimming in the oil so you would consider getting rid of them b4 they does real harm to your engine.

and for single piston engine, run in is very fast. but how to do a run in is up to individual preference. i got my own set of run in method but the basics must follow.

read this is u r interested but its hard run in.

    happy running in!!

Go to well known dealers.. eg asphoon, s1 motoring, albert motors, uniquemotosports....n ask, then compare their prices. Nt much diff la. +/- abit only. first hand bikes not many risk compared to 2nd hand. Or ask ur rider friends?

Moto so far so good. But low top speed, even at 90kph++ only engine grumbling alrd... lol.

    On v power. 60% city. 40% highway.
    42 to 44 km/l without touching reserve.

And my riding style fairly aggressive.

It also depends on other factors to achieve this speed.

    Sorry for the late reply...
Bought mine at Soon Hin - Yishun Indus Park.

Top speed nv try but easily can hit 100km/h. Sg road no need so fast la now so many orange standees on expressway hahahaa.
Overall im using 15w40 EO. Can clock 42-44km/L. meter last bar fuel will blink at 420km-450km. pump ard 11-11.5L. Going to change to 20w50 EO in another 100 KM i think it will reduce the vibrations further.

Yes saw other with the half tire hugger, is better imho cos less dirty compared to the original one.
Mine is red. So far saw Red and Black only, not sure is the orange and blue coming in SG.

Anyone got problem with fuel reading? Mine show -2 bars everytime i start my bike. Will go back up to normal while riding. Is this normal?

I topped up around 8 litres on empty/reserve.

Yap same with me. I usually park with main stand. So that I know my fuel reading. If I park side stand the fuel reading will blink cos the fuel is on the side. That is normal. Due to the reading can't read the fuel properly.

Thanks. Got a more accurate fuel reading while the bike is straight before starting the bike. Will have to wait quite a while to stabilise when starting the bike on side stand.
