Hi Guys!!
I m new R1 2015 rider.
Would like to check hw do u guys mount ur IU unit? Bcos the bike shop use the 3M Velcro on the right side above the radiator cooler. I dun have a issue for ERP gantries Bt carpark barriers gt prob as it gt difficulties in detecting. Pls enlighten me on this.

yamaha usa have recall if u guys check the net...just sharing...alot of new models recalled due to something to do wit the transmission...cheers

I did not buy it directly from hong leong, but from other motorshop. all 2015 yamaha R1 are from hong leong even they were sold by other bikeshop.

then likely u will receive it soon. as far as i know.....the recall is for ALL 2015 Yamaha R1/R1M worldwide. USA, CANADA, UK AND INDIA are already in the process of recalling and replacement of transmission gears liao

I gt a reply from Hong Leong that they only recall
if your bike is affected, you will receive a letter from them. If not no recall.

I receive my letter yesterday. Called them to fix appt. it's on balloting. N will take three days to change the transmission gears.

should be quite fast for your turn. when i called in on 29-12-2015, they told me there were 3 bikes before me and fixed mine on the 11-01-2016. i suppose mine is 1 of the 15 bikes before yours bah...... btw, what colour is yours...if your's an R1, not M?

Mine is blue. Mine is R1. Not the M. Didn't wan to waste the money on M as both r same HP.

mine is blue colour too. u got any decal on your bike? seems like sticking decals not as popular as it was in the past....liao...

Just got back my ride from Hong Leong after replacement of transmission gear assembly. the next few days will be checking and testing to ensure no leaks....or something else. i m not too sure if i m feeling the correct thing....which is the shifting of gear, be it manual or by quick-shifter, the shifting of gears seems much more smoother....
for bros sending in or waiting for the transmission gear replacement, please take note, every parts they replaced and labor will be free, but not the engine oils. they will charge owners for renewal of engine oils.....

I've got a belly pan to let go if you are interested. It fits perfect to the original fairing and exhaust with catalytic converter. Currently wrapped in silver and blue to match the stock bike color. Lacomoto brand. PM me if you are keen... Thanks
