You're not seriously asking this question, are you??

I don't mean to be rude.... but is there a context to this question?

Why do you think it jam brake? Is it even a fault for jam braking? What had the driving centre taught you? How did you even pass your e-brake stage in the first place? Hmm

Hello noname123! Like above post mentioned, yes we are liable for hitting a vehicle ahead of us even if they jammed brake. Sounds unfair, but they can argue saying that you tailgated them resulting in the collision.. Keep a safe distance when riding, so that should the vehicle ahead jam brake, you have enough distance to react and brake, or if cannot brake in time then lane-split (obviously the former would be better).

    it is absolutely fair.

it is the duty of the rear vehicle to ensure safety distance between itself and front vehicle, including in jam brake situations. turn it the other way round and consider us on bike and a car behind. we cannot control our rear safety distance, we can only control our front safety distance with our speed and positioning. you would expect the car behind us to ensure this safety distance. if the car behind bangs into the bike, it therefore is surely the car's fault.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

best not to speed and keep a distance which allows you to E-brake safely.

Nowadays our road is like a jungle. Better be safe. We only have 1 life.

LOL ... wait. are you hitting the car/van in front or the car/van behind?
if you are hitting the car/van behind, how did it occur?
does your bike roll back and hit the car/van behind? or were u reversing, then your bike hit the car/van behind.

but if the car/van jammed brakes behind you, did the car/van not hit you from the rear instead?
