Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback. We would like to
offer you the following reasons for not allowing motorcycles on the island:
1) Certain roads/places such as the bicycle tracks, naturewalk trail,
pedestrian walkways, service road, beach/picnic grounds are out of bounds
for cars. Bollards are placed at these areas to prevent cars from entering.
However motorcycles can easily access such areas and to introduce other
preventive measures would be difficult as we need to cater to bicycle
2) Increase in unauthorised and illegal parking along pathways is
anticipated and this will also cause obstruction to pedestrians.
3) Speed limit on the island is at 40km/h and enforcing this on motorcylists
