me too... actually my message is meant to get the administrators to do something about the spamming haha... I still cares about this forum... if not I'll be like many others who simply stay away... to these ppl, doesn't matter if its still around or not... SBF no longer exist to them.

Somehow I really wish the admin can give me some rights to delete the spammer messages or thread. See but not able to do anything really frustrating.

quite simple to minimise the spamming... but the admin cant be bothered to do so.

The trick is to make it more difficult for them to register and to start new threads

You can start by having an email verification system for registration, so they need to receive a verification email and click the link before they can login.
Then for posting, just set a minimum number of posts before they can start a new thread, maybe they need 50 posts before they can start a new thread.

This won't stop everything, of course, but it makes it more troublesome for them to spam.

chill, the only reason less people visit forum because of facebook. everyone setting up their bike group over there.

its totally different platform... FB groups can be useful for specific bike groups, riding groups etc.. for more generic bike matters, a forum is much more suitable. U can see MCF flourishing cos it's better maintained.

SBF now is a Sales bike listing page only. ppl don't come here to discuss much anymore..
