Beware of these silicon sprays for shine. Put on sidewall sure looks good, my suggestion is not to spray directly but spray on cloth and wipe it on. That way, none will get on brakes or tire thread. Safety first folks!

Also another no no is your bike seats. Some of these products say make your seats looks good, but NEVER do it. I tried once and my arse was sliding all over the place. HAd to spend another 15mins cleaning it off.
hi sorry to barge in. i m currently facing this problem. 2 daes ago my fren sprayed it 4 me unknowingly abt the consequences. I tried washing it away as i went onto the contact side. Almost skidded off abt 3 times. Pls let me know how to get this off. Very sian, cannot play corner liao....

So far the best polish that I have ever used...

I have tried many other brands, you name it.

But so far the best IMHO is AutoGlym.

It's one of the most ex but overall it's the best... again IMHO.

What to get, Polish and high gloss.

the 2 bottles will set you back about 40-50 bucks.

Best place to buy is in autobacs when they are having discount.

Autoglym is not like may other brands,

    1. when polishing, it does not need to cover ever inch of the surface with thick coat.
    2. comes off easy
    3. after polishing, use the high gloss and it acts like a sealant and will last for at least 1- 2 months.
    4. if bike get dusty... just use water and rinse. no need to use shampoo.

I use that on my car and it's impressive. I park my car under the sun...
Also, i was my car 1 x a month and polishes ever 2-3 mths. still looks good.

    Best Cloth
    Baby diper cloth.
Porous, easy to wash and cheap. best for polishing and drying.

    For tyres.
$2 polish @ daiso in IMM. it's like the amour all tub thingie... but in a packet of 10 or 20. cannot remember.
    or
    the popular amour all.

    Rust remover
cannot remember the name but it's available from most DIY shops.
It's a cream type of sand paper. super smooth.

*tip, after using that, polish with any polish else will rust.

    **tip for chrome parts,
big parts - spray a layer of laquer.
    small parts, transparent nail polish
It's usually not the bike, Check the Biker

I use Turtle Wax on my bike it doesn't give the shine and also it take me very long to wipe it off (I'm using the liquid form). I thin kthose car polish would be better. As for washing I was told that the chemical in the detergent will eat of the paint, although yet to see the effect.

For rusty screw, you can either change a new screw or use autosol and polish it away. For shining rims, use kerosene to remove the dirt and grime.

you can try getting your car care products from this company called driven.

they are wholesale distributors.. and you can see all their products here

    www.driven.com.sg

much cheaper than all those retail stores.

Look very innovative..But what happens when someone just whack the alarm instead of cutting the chain? The alarm will be smashed into smithereeenss..Would it mean that the alarm is useless then? Anywho..The cover for the alarm looks really weak..

    Hi Guys.
I am a newbie to this forum. I was looking for cheap bike products like side mirror, chain oil, 4T 20-50 oil.
Heard a lot about this LAB -> What is this shop and where is it?
    SOrry for my ignorance

Any other place anyone could suggest for the above mentioned items?
Also, I met with a minor accident a few days back, and the front of my bike (near the headlight) has got a few dents now. Any way to hide those dents for cheapest possible price?

    Thanks.

im using polyglaze products.. both for washing and polishing.. i bought it at a diy shop at compass point.. quite a good product as i could say..been using this for 8 months liao.. never tried any other brands... the washing liquid costs me $9 at 750ml.. and the polish is $9 for 350ml..

waxing is to rub the surface to make it shine.. the more u wax, the thinner the paint..

therefore, dun wax too much too.. basic cleaning and occasional waxing should be good enuff..

and i found out, some wax is mean for metal paint and some for plastic.. dun use one wax or polish for all.. later ur part starts to crack..

You need a deep cleaning product to bring out the white, I find that Maxima's Spray and Shine does a great job at this. Ordinary car wash products can't match this, they cannot bring out the white because they're not cleaning as deeply. It leaves a layer of carnuaba wax to protect from the elements.
