    i thought 40-50mm

Do make sure the residue are washed & clean properly & thoroughly. This will take at least an hour job for a nice & clean job.

    Vespa,

The information is in the user manual found in the Phantom thread.
    Clear instructions and graphics included.

The tools for the job come with the bike.

    1. The spanner to loosen the rear wheel nut
    2. Size 10 and 12 spanner to tighten/loosen the tightenening bolt
    3. Adjust to ensure the rear wheel are align properly.

    Cheers

i use kerosene (alot of pple will recommend you to use gt85.. can buy at many bikeshops) to clean my chain.. then after that use wet cloth to wipe.. after that spray a layer of chain lube.. when riding while the chain is warm my scottoiler will do the job..

Degreaser works best with chain cleaning. I use those u find from those cleaning kit at KFC. purple colour. If u have friends working at KFC or pizza hut.. ask them the purple solution. Works like magic!

well the chain could be overused and has stretched quite abit.or the previous owner didnt lengthen the wheelbase to tension the chain. best to get a mech to look at it. if your chain snap halfway its very very dangerous. dont forget regular lubing

Yep, chain oiler sure beats magical aftermarket additives (that don't work) hands down

I still want the chrome-plated Victorian steel plunger variety, though. Hand-regulated drip rate! Hmn, anyone got a used hydraulic cylinder lying around

(Since the oil discharge rate is variable, tailgaters beware!)

or after changing for a new chain, it will loose a bit for a couple of first month.

Should ignore and cont'd tightening it or there's something the mechanic shld be involved?

    Please advise...
Every 2 week adjust chain. You better change to better chain O-ring type last longer than normal chain.
If power full bike or always pick up normal chain cannot last. If you adjust evry 2 week then you need to change the chain every 2 month.

adjust your chain every week then can already. If you dont know how to do it, take it to a workshop and just observe.

Check your sprockets as well as they wear out with time. Loose chain can cause serious self accidents

Those who want to tighten your chain and dun really know how, it's best that you ride pass a bike shop and ask them to tighten it for you. Most of them do it for FREE so dun worry about having to pay. And you can steal some of their oil to lubricate your chain as well )
