Vincent? u mean wilson issit? yea, i have termis in already. sounds much better than original.

those 998 termi cans sound superb as well.

nice to see you guys. duke and ex duke riders. the desmo system is something that should be appreciated for its uniqueness but not for its maintanence

have yet to see 916/96/98 riders out there. come in and chat brudders

is $14k for an FP plate 916 worth the money?

it seems to be in mint condition, except for some leaking on the left fork.

i had wanted to get it earlier , but frens had been dissuading me, saying i'd need to spend 8k on parks every year. so i'd given up and thought of getting either a blackbird or an f4i, but hearing those dukes that day, my heart hath shakened!!!

the bikes a legend man, it turned heards 10 yrs ago, it turns heads today and 10 yrs down it will still turn heads. so beautiful that u feel like frenching those termi exhaust openings.

but maintanence, killer lah. somemore pre 98 bikes have pretty serious reliability probs. maybe good for gawking only coz half the time, the bike will be in workshop. BUT i being me, a duke lurver, will still give that 14k 916 serious thought. heh

Seal, Wonderful bike u have there. better than any VFR, no worries

Read in MCN that Ducati is being pressured into building a road going desmosedici. We may see it sometime next year. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

And yes I am a member at the Ducati Yahoo Sg forum.

    G'day,

Great to see a Duc thread alive here. I'm thinking of getting back into riding again and want a 916sps or 996sps or the best I can afford so to speak. I would like to find out what are the current going rates for anyone of these machines in SG. Also, what are your opinions on a used 916sps in terms reliability due to the nature of it being an older bike. Replies will definitly be appreciated. Thanks.

    Cheers!

    hiya fellas, another wet evening..

reminds me man, never leave the duke to soak up rain, you're asking for it. i remember on my then new monster, the water had seeped into the dials and the oil pressure indicator got screwed up, chnged it many times but the problem remained.

hiya prodrive, yea, lets try to create some kind of corner for duke riders, come in and place thoughts/views.

seen a brand new 996 sps at minerva. still there i believe.
    not sure abt 916 sps.

anywya guys , how have yer dukes been treating ya? pleasure or pain?

    Hi fellow duke owners,

Ducati ST rider here. For me, my duke is both pleasure and pain. However, pleasure would always envelope the pain everytime the unique Desmo V-twin power and noise of the duke punch me out of a corner. Just love riding my duke.

Have tried an R1 and blackbird before. They are fast but the inline feeling is just so different from a twin.

Where do U stay by the way?Cause I saw a 999 at Esso Station Clementi last 2wks pumping air, thought might be U......
But I was riding my wave to work,so abit paisai to talk to him.
My 996 almost 10k in mileage soon.Heard the servicing min.$700.
