Any sbf'ers consolodating orders for rotella t6 fully syn eo via amazon? I wanna tag along order so as to qualify for free shipping (amazon free global shipping > $120)
Pls do PM me..
Ps: heard buy from amazon if on black friday price is a lil cheaper- per gallon is us$18++??
Does amazon/dhl still ships eo to sg?
You got a tagger along.
works out to be rounded off $22 SGD per gallon for the T6.
Which works out to be really economical in Singapore context, if you're doing the EO change yourself, and properly disposing of the used EO.
EDIT, is $22 USD per gallon, not SGD, SGD should be near 30

by the way, the new CK-4 standard started to appear in the market.
Shell Rotella T5
I wouldn't touch this T5 you recommended though.
Albeit should be hard to find in Singapore.
Who in the right mind, without any real knowledge, would not believe whatever a bike shop says?
If you're a vendor, how would you market your oils such that Motorcyclists would use them, of course you market them as Motorbike Oils, instead of HDEOs and stuff, to cater to the general population.

I am not recommending it. just saying oil stating they can meet the new PC-11 standard start to appear on the market.
you won't be able to find it almost anywhere. the official launch date for PC-11 is December 2016. I just wonder will Rotella still be able to meet JASO MA when it switched over to CK-4. My guess is it will as the improvement is on oxidation, shear stability and aeration which is useful improvement in motorcycle engine as well and shouldn't affect frictional characteristic unless they intend to. For FA-4, it will be the same except additional fuel economy, aka lower HTHS and maybe additional friction modifier.
JASO MA had been updated to JASO T903:2016. Not much of a different except updated performance specifications, change to the friction characteristic test, moly in oil to be reported, change to JASO MA approval logo. unfortunately, the proposed test for gear wear did not materialise. but... who care about JASO MA? haha...![]()
Rotella T4 15W40
Rotella T4 also CK-4 ready. 15W40 version still meet JASO MA/MA2![]()
Amazon parcel reached shoresnubad.

what u guys think about maxima extra or maxima synblend? any good? am currently using motul 300v but wanna experiment with the rest. seems most recommended oil nowadays besides 300v.
I used to use 300V. I loved it. But I have swapped out to something else since.... Check out my writeup on my reasons for NOT using 300V here:

An excellent write up, with sound and logical flow. You are a true representation of what is required in today's society - people who synthesize, put the right information at the right time, think critically about it and make important choices wisely. I have learnt a lot from your posts and your experiences!

Hi, thank you for the write up. It helps a lot with my decision for motor oils. Currently I am still deciding on the brand of oils to use. Based on research I've decided to narrow it down to ester based oils. As such I'm testing on the various brands of oils available. Thus far I've only used Bardahl Kiwami for my 1st oil drain and currently on Motul 300v. Next 2 oils would probably be the BelRay EXS and Maxima Extra.
I noticed in your write up that Motul 300v 4T is not JASO MA certified ("I checked – Motul’s 300V 4T NOT certified JASO MA or API SL that the Bajaj manual calls out for"), however, when I went to the JASO site to check on oils that are certified, it is stated there (www.jalos.or.jp/onfile/pdf/4T_EV_LIST.pdf).
Admittedly its claims to be Above Existing Standards are somewhat vague (https://www.motul.com/system/product...pdf?1362490048).
Nevertheless, it is a very informational piece of writing that would assist many with their oil choices.
Thank you.
facebook, saw this FB page Motoxc, interesting bike staff they are selling

yes this engine oil is the best. I am using it and engine is performing so nice.
Engine oil is a big thing to make mobile nice and safe. Great quality engine oils like MOTUL 4T Synthetic Petrol Engine Oil for Bikes, Mobil Super 4T Motorcycle Oil and Shell Advance Synthetic Technology Motorbike Engine Oil will keep your motorbikes out of the repair shop and on the road for a long time
Engine oil is very important to increase the life of engine and bike. so choose it carefully/
Find a decent brand oil that meet the required specs stated in the owner manual, change it regularly and maintain correct oil level.
I still have not seen any proof that certain brand of engine oil increases engine life except anecdotes evidence.
Anyone got any idea about this brand Unil Opal?
Castrol is the best engine oil for best mileage.
Anyone with break in/run in engine oil recommendations and place to purchase knowledge/experience? I just bought a Kymco AK 550. TIA!![]()
Considering this is Singapore, where we are facing tropical climate mostly throughout the year, would the front number of the engine oil make any difference? Between a 5W40 and a 15W40, what difference would it make?
