Hi, any have experience with this bike:

I saw it once, kinda like it over the usual Steed/Shadow/Harley alternatives. Because of it's 90 V4, 4 exhaust and phantom-alike riding and ground clearance. Mainly because it really look like a bigger Phantom, hence considering this for upgrade.

    Tks! Comment appreciated.

this is a fabulous bike. a real muscle cruiser.

pumping 80++ hp for a 750 cc engine. VFR detuned engine.

I owned it brand new from 1995 to 1998

chain drive becos of the power. pick is damn solid can outrun anything in its category till today.

modified my tank to 22liters. here are some pics to make your mouth water.....

    hi,

Tks for the info! Didn't know it's a VFR engine!

Can comment on ground clearance, consumption, and pain-in-the-arse problem, if any? Since you already touched on power.

Chain drive? I rather have that for the oomph! Scott oiler solve all the trouble.

BUt it's kinda rare...will keep my eyes peeled for them..

    Dont need scott oiler.

chain drive is perfectly fine, look at all the sports bikes, they are chain driven arent they? heh

I rode it for about 3 years, absolutely no problem. just change engine oil and oil filter , airfilter.

Ground clearance better than steed , shadow etc...

consumption a little higher but I recalled it was 16km per liter - mixed riding.

Here's the specs from the website. Everything looks good. It has good acceleration, even compared to the 1000cc+ cruisers. And it's relatively "light", which is good for me....except for the brakes! I think Phantom has better brakes...

    HONDA MAGNA
    MSRP: $7499
    Wet weight: 539 lbs.
    Wheelbase: 65.0 in.
    Seat height: 28.0
    Engine type: Liquid-cooled 45-degree V-4
Valve arrangement: DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder
    Displacement: 748cc
    Carburetion: 4, 34mm CV
    Final Drive: Chain
    Rake/trail: 32 degrees/5.2 in.
    Front tire: 120/80-17
    Rear tire: 150/80-17
Front brake: 1-piston caliper, 12.4-in. disc
    Rear brake: Single-leading-shoe drum
200-yard top-gear acceleration from 50 mph, terminal speed: 73.0 mph
    Quarter-mile acceleration: 12.71 sec., 102.9 mph

Wonder if I can change the brakes....

Loois...ok will pay them a visit tomorrow perhaps. I"m slowly looking, cos it's my cl2 upgrade and that's 10 mths later or something. Just hope it doesn't get too rare.

Dont be silly, the brakes are more than sufficient.
I can vouch for it, having sliced countless of harleys during those days.

Well from wat i knw, the machine that im owning now is an earlier verysion of the one i think you all are toking abt. Mine is 1987 make Super Magna. To my point of view. Getting a magna is NEVER wrong. Till now no doubt the bike is old but its a WAY A GO bike.

As for Bird i really would like to try out your magna's power one day.

Bird hope to see you one the road soon. Hee hee hee

Well, it was definitely yellow. Could have a tinge of black somewhere on the bike that I couldn't see that night.

Gee Isaac, you seem to know the Valk community very well.

Used to own a Magna 750. If you ride like a CB, because the bike can go, then I feel that the bike can be dangerous. I don't understand why HOnda placed a VFR engine on a cruiser and gave it drum brakes at the rear. After riding other cruisers, Magna does feel like it has more power, but in terms of real braking, it needs longer distance, so take note.
