Hi guys,
I just restored my father's Yamaha RX-S 3 months ago (includes engine overhaul). I have change a brand new carb also. And the engine was running well for the first month plus, but recently when I was riding on it, I found out that it don't run as smooth as it is when it just got overhauled.
I have to open throttle more, and I feel it not as smooth picking up. Sometime when I just kick start the bike, the engine will die after 5 seconds without doing anything. And when I'm changing gears from gear 2 to gear 3 (and its around 4K RPM), the engine cant run smoothly, I have to rev the throttle so that it can get some fuel.

And when it's idling on the traffic stop, sometimes the needle will fluctuate between 2K RPM to 3K RPM (on N Gear).
Recently, I just change the engine oil and spark plug, and did tightened my chain. And when I set my bike on the main stand, and on N gear, the rear wheels dont rotate as freely as before already.

This bike really koyak already.

Rxk wire harness no longer in production bro.. need to find a 2nd hand one.. why u need to rewire back bro? Urs got shorted or got a lot of mod n want to redo back ori config?

Hi dzool. Know or want to know about the 3 rx? I am 59 and my 2nd bike is the rxk. My 1st bike is LC125. After riding so many bikes, I switch back to the rxk last year. One of the best bike... easy to maintain and can do self servicing. Don need to waste money sending to the shop for servicing. I do my own servicing except for major problem, then have to send to the workshop. But not may workshop know about rxk.
