  2. From most expensive mods onwards 1) port block 2) carb jet setting 3) Remove air filters (usually already remove unless your previous owner wan to keep stock) - after remove air filter, will need to do some minor settings on the carb as well. (Bear in mind, after removal of air filter, your carb will need to clean more frequently.. as frequent as 3 months once to 6 months once.. after 6 months FC will drop.. very easy to clean but need to be careful on the screws to open the carb as they are quite "filmy" and can become rounded if your tools are normal home tools.. 4) Empty

  6. Saw this post being shared around, very useful information and good reminder for all motorcyclist! Compared to a car, van, lorry, or any other vehicle on the roads, us bikers are the most vulnerable so do take extra care and precaution! If you have any other safe riding tips for riders, please share them here! Thanks to bro Kanakarajh Raman for this piece of advice: Saw an accident wreckage at Woodlands Ave 9 and Ave 6 junction involving a motorbike and car, probably due to confusion at the discretionary right turn pocket. ($$ in pocket) Maybe can ask if they are able to get in that fairing that you wanted? Personally if I'm you, I would purchase 2nd hand (as new as possible as long the price is within my budget), then swap out the parts that I preferred.. This way, I would not waste a brand new fairing or feel painful when I'm changing any parts.. (since they are used anyway) hahaha.. Just my preferences..

  8. Took me 4 tries to pass the circuit assessment, but I'll tell you, practice makes perfect. I know that sian feeling but don't give up. You'll get there soon. For figure 8, you need to minimally go at 12-15km/h, try to keep the throttle constant. Just before you turn into the curve of the figure 8, turn off your signal and focus on the throttle. Don't be afraid that you're going to fall, you just have to grip the tank with your knees and believe in physics. In the middle of the figure 8 during the straight path, speed up slightly and before you enter the curve again, turn on the si

  10. Then send your block for porting. Head skims. Change of reed valves to maybe boyesen petals, or vforce 2/3/4. Remove the catalytic converter in the exhaust. Remove the stopper in the muffler. Ream or lay your carb, make the bellmouths slighy bigger maybe from 28mm to 30 or 31mm. Exhaust modification fines, $500 hahaha. Careful.

  27. @nhya Nope, it really depends on case to case basis. Not exactly at the half of lifespan mark. Breakeven means: Selling price of the bike EQUALS or MORE than your current outstanding liabilities/loan on the bike. i.e. You sell your bike for $3,000 but you owe the bank $4,000 = You HAVE NOT reached breakeven You sell your bike for $3,000 and you owe the bank $3,000 = Breakeven point reached You sell your bike for $5,000 and you owe the bank $3,000 = Break even point reached and surpassed Hope this helps!

  28. don be stressed. 2A is easier than 2B. cos it's tested inside the circuit only. As long as u remember what n where to lookout for. note down immediately after u finished the session if u think u will forget. that's how i learnt when i was taking my 2A. don be shy to ask the instructors questions. fyi i keep asking questions when i started my 2A lesson 1 all the way till my TP. i passed the evalution & TP on 1st attempt.

  33. Just sharing for fellow DIY-ers or bikers who are looking for some missing screws, bolts, washers, nuts, etc Yong Seng Screws Pte Ltd supply most of the DIY shops and many workshops also head to them to look for hard to find items. Prices are ok but there is a minimum purchase quantity of 3-5 screws if you are not buying in bulk. Best to bring your own screws down so they guys can help you out and find a perfect match. 3 outlets in Singapore, i've found the Ubi branch to be the best stocked outlet. YMMV. Good luck to all DIY-ers and have fun! French Road Blk 802, French R

  34. AS1K Vespa GT200A This plate is supposedly the 1st private number plate to be registered in Singapore. Originally, "S1", the "A" prefix and the checksum "K" was added later on when all motorcycles during that era were allocated "Ax" number plates. Interesting bit of history! P.S. The owner is part of the Singapore Classic Motorcycle Group, hope to see this beauty in person one day!

  37. Thx for the correction! You are absolutely correct to say if they propose something new, there is an intention to enforce it. Indeed it is most concerning now to us riders who own a helmet that is certified to international standards but just don't have the PSB sticker. I think it is important for us (even the shops themselves that sell non PSB approved helmets) to get an official answer from the authorities on this matter as soon as we can or we will always be looking over our shoulders for TP. Thanks for asking the hard questions for the community, SBF! Looking forward eagerly to w

  39. @Garc2992 Excellent points made. The revised proposed fine is actually $1,000, up from the existing $500. And the new proposed ruling will apply to the PILLION as well, which means if both using non-PSB helmets, the total fine is $2,000 to the rider. OUCH! Currently the law only applies to the rider and NOT the pillion. In the statement they did say that similar penalties will be imposed on Malaysia riders, if that is to be believed, let's see. Last but not least, we're all hoping that TP will have more sense than to catch and fine 'errant' riders who use Arai/Shoei or othe

  44. Saw this post on Facebook recently, thought it would be good to share with all if you have a current TP test date coming up. Bro Wee Boon was suppose to have his TP test today but was turned away by the safe distancing officer and denied entry into CDC as his Trace Together app showed that he possible had exposure to a case confirmed to be COVID positive. If you have such interactions, best to check ahead of time with the driving centre to make sure whether you can enter the premises at all, or have to change date or get a refund. From Wee Boon's post: Hi guys, just wanna g
