  2. From most expensive mods onwards 1) port block 2) carb jet setting 3) Remove air filters (usually already remove unless your previous owner wan to keep stock) - after remove air filter, will need to do some minor settings on the carb as well. (Bear in mind, after removal of air filter, your carb will need to clean more frequently.. as frequent as 3 months once to 6 months once.. after 6 months FC will drop.. very easy to clean but need to be careful on the screws to open the carb as they are quite "filmy" and can become rounded if your tools are normal home tools.. 4) Empty

  5. Update! I never heard anything from NUH, but I drove past again yesterday, and the sign has changed to say: "No right turn / Vehicles exceeding 2500kg in unladen weight" which is what we suspected it meant all along.

Ream or lay your carb, make the bellmouths slighy bigger maybe from 28mm to 30 or 31mm. Exhaust modification fines, $500 hahaha. Careful.

  25. @nhya Nope, it really depends on case to case basis. Not exactly at the half of lifespan mark. Breakeven means: Selling price of the bike EQUALS or MORE than your current outstanding liabilities/loan on the bike. i.e. You sell your bike for $3,000 but you owe the bank $4,000 = You HAVE NOT reached breakeven You sell your bike for $3,000 and you owe the bank $3,000 = Breakeven point reached You sell your bike for $5,000 and you owe the bank $3,000 = Break even point reached and surpassed Hope this helps!

  26. don be stressed. 2A is easier than 2B. cos it's tested inside the circuit only. As long as u remember what n where to lookout for. note down immediately after u finished the session if u think u will forget. that's how i learnt when i was taking my 2A. don be shy to ask the instructors questions. fyi i keep asking questions when i started my 2A lesson 1 all the way till my TP. i passed the evalution & TP on 1st attempt.

  31. AS1K Vespa GT200A This plate is supposedly the 1st private number plate to be registered in Singapore. Originally, "S1", the "A" prefix and the checksum "K" was added later on when all motorcycles during that era were allocated "Ax" number plates. Interesting bit of history! P.S. The owner is part of the Singapore Classic Motorcycle Group, hope to see this beauty in person one day!

  34. Thx for the correction! You are absolutely correct to say if they propose something new, there is an intention to enforce it. Indeed it is most concerning now to us riders who own a helmet that is certified to international standards but just don't have the PSB sticker. I think it is important for us (even the shops themselves that sell non PSB approved helmets) to get an official answer from the authorities on this matter as soon as we can or we will always be looking over our shoulders for TP. Thanks for asking the hard questions for the community, SBF! Looking forward eagerly to w

  36. @Garc2992 Excellent points made. The revised proposed fine is actually $1,000, up from the existing $500. And the new proposed ruling will apply to the PILLION as well, which means if both using non-PSB helmets, the total fine is $2,000 to the rider. OUCH! Currently the law only applies to the rider and NOT the pillion. In the statement they did say that similar penalties will be imposed on Malaysia riders, if that is to be believed, let's see. Last but not least, we're all hoping that TP will have more sense than to catch and fine 'errant' riders who use Arai/Shoei or othe

  37. Seems like a pretty cool mod, integrated sideboxes with LED turn signals (non-LTA approved though) for the XMax 250/300/400. Just nice for when the borders are open! Priced at S$450 for just the sideboxes. Sold by Dmax Accessories Motorshop based out of Indonesia: https://www.facebook.com/groups/xmaxSG/permalink/628183901180861/

  38. I strongly disbelieve that Foreign riders i.e. our Malaysian bros will get penalised for not having a PSB approved sticker. I mean how are they going to get a PSB sticker across the causeway. What this essentially mean is that only Singapore Riders are the only ones at the tail end of this law. I have no doubt that the law is amended with good intentions to eradicate fake helmets, but this law only serves to make Riding with a Full Face helmet more expensive. I personally have not seen any helmet retailers beside Cheong Aik and SG Racing World selling PSB approved Full Face Helmets. So wh

  39. Definitely ship from Japan. Ordered 3 times from them. The less bulkier orders which were delivered by air will have a tracking number from Japan post. Sea delivery would take about 40 days. Tried before once for just 1 iridium spark plug last time hahahahah Yup shorter shipping time compared to ordering stuffs from US. Haven’t order from other Japan sites so I can’t compare on that. Shipping cost is still relatively on a higher side so in order to make my shipping charges worth it, got to order a few items at one go. Site is definitely poison with accessories haha

  40. Sorry for the late reply @SBF, bike feels pretty sluggish below 5000rpm, someone suggested I should go try throttle body cleaning and injector cleaning. My bike is a bit tough cos it's PI and I think basically no one has seen this bike before haha. I'm deciding on a day to dismantle the throttle body out myself and try to wash it DIY since I've started doing basic maintenance myself now with a dirt bike stand!

  41. @Mingqian_ https://eservices.police.gov.sg/content/policehubhome/homepage/traffic-eappeals-portal.html You will need the reference number of the TP notice and your Singpass. Don't mind me asking, what offence did you get caught for? Failure to form up correctly? For some reason more drivers are submitting in-car camera video of bikers.
