  1. I am using Bridgestone G701( approx 150-170 plus for now ) for front, Bridgestone G546 ( Approx 225 -250 for now)for rear. Both made in japan.
I extremely do not like bridgestones on shadow. Rear skids on wet, like on ice.

Recently asked for shadow tyres in Ah Boy. The got one, but some b-class brand. Don't remember exactly, may be maxis or some sort of...

Will need to replace both mine soon, so would appreciate if you post where you finally find it.

  3. Here is a good video, which, i believe , will address your question.

    In a few words:

    1. Roll your hand over break lever, closing throttle with thumb. Don't pull the lever.

    2. Try to keep 2 fingers on the front break lever always , while riding.

    3. Setup you break lever, the way it wont jam your fingers, while fully engaged.

  4. Dear fellows,

    looking for your advice.

Caught a hole on the road, now feeling a small, but unusual vibration on my front wheel.

Suppose got front rim a little bit bent and/or out of balance.

Do you know some good workshop, which have experience of fixing spoked wheels and tools to balance them?

  5. Dear fellows,

looking for Shadow 400 or Dragstar 400.

prefer carby generation, as like putting my hands on everything :)

don't mind to pay some extra, but need something fleshier then 2007, ideally less then 5y.o.

Please PM me if you plan to sell your baby and/or saw some on sale in local bike shops.

  6. Hi Guys,

My friend is coming to Singapore from overseas for Christmas holiday.

I would like to take him to a few days ride through west Malaysia (KL-Penang).

He's experienced rider (16+ years) and have an unlimited international license.

Can you give me an idea where i can rent a bike for him to rent for such a trip?

Do you know any rental shops in JB?

  8. Thanks Vincent.

I actually had the same thoughts , but as always with a pre-owned machine concerns are taking place.

I'm pretty much satisfied with my Daystar Performance. But good advise is always appreciated.

May be you can advise some mechanic to serve the baby?

  9. Hi folks,

i've just got a pre-owned Daystar 140 two weeks ago and getting used to it.

Have a couple of concerns on my bike's gearbox operation.

Could you please advise me if it in common for Daystar:

    1. On other bikes i rode , when on the first gear , gear lever cannot be pressed down. On my Daystar being on the first gear , gear lever became "empty". You can kick it down without any resistance.

    2. To go from neutral to 1st on a stationary bike, i have to release a clutch a bit. With clutch fully depressed the gear lever skips down with no gear engaged. If i release the clutch a little bit (still very far from biting point) 1st gear gets engaged perfectly.

    3. The same with shifting down while stopping. If clutch is fully depressed from time to time it might not go from 2ng to 1st. With clutch released a little bit everything is fine.
