  1. I agree bro... Dats y I actually said something should be done to counter this COE hogging cos nothing is done now to specifically address this. Unfortunately multiple bike or car owners actually helps the govt more. It pushes up COE prices while having less vehicles on the road... win win for govt.
  2. I'm also against this ARF increase... but the more I think about this... the more I feel something should be done. There just too many bikers owning more than 1 bike hogging COEs, hurting those that need only 1 bike for basic transport needs. Sadly money talks in SG, there should be more "penalties" for multi bike owners....
  3. wah... OMV for CB400X ABS is higher than NC750X ABS
  4. any particular websites to recommend?
  5. wondering how does 1 improve his riding skills without going to tracks? We often hear ppl say if no skills, don't do this don't do that... but without trying, how do one acquire those skills? And where is a good place for regular riders to practice simple things like emergency breaking, sharp cornering etc... I also want to try out things like tire burnout, stoppies, wheelies...
  6. Its the new "average" bro... In 10 years, class 2b bikes have dropped by 11% while class 2 bikes have more than doubled, increased by 115% https://www.lta.gov.sg/content/dam/ltaweb/corp/PublicationsResearch/files/FactsandFigures/MVP01-7_MC_by_cc.pdf
  7. wah so basically, uve never rode a bike before (other than in driving school)? Me not so bad ah.. got my 2B in 2006... ride bike till 2010 then stop. Got 2A in 2015 & CL2 in 2016 then bought a bike last year. I only need to be conscious about the number of fingers on the levers and to maintain right leg up... other than that the rest comes naturally
  8. Yamaha Bolt is quite nice looking... Or the new triumph bobber or new Harley Roadster
  9. u mean all the new bike buyers wont be affected by the new ARF and will still continue their planned purchases? So the increase is no big deal?
  10. if they have been unsold before the price hike, no reason for it to be sold now.
  11. we will know tomorrow... dats y I'm asking for opinions IF COE goes down to 4K level, how would u guys feel? I', sure most ppl who buys 2B bread & butter bikes will be happy... but those who buy hobby bikes who are the majority of the forummers here will still be affected negatively. I personally am ok to pay more for luxury items if it helps the common folks to make end meets.
  12. I'm referring to COE... currently at around 6.5K. If it falls to 4K. Which means bike like Bajaj Pulsar or kupchai will cost 2.5K lower overall
  13. curious... IF COE goes down to about 4K, which means bikes with OMV below 5K will now cost about 2.5k lesser... helping those with lesser income to buy new bikes and to reduce the cost of COE renewal, do you feel that its a successful policy change? would you be happy?
  14. hopefully this new ARF will minimise such ppl who takes up 2 or more COEs so that the additiomal COEs can go to common ppl. curious... IF COE goes down to about 4K, which means bikes with OMV below 5K will now cost about 2.5k lesser... helping those with lesser income to buy new bikes and to reduce the cost of COE renewal, do you feel that its a successful policy change? would you be happy?
  15. I don't know much about bikes... but don't most brand offers a lower cc version for each models? Of cos not at the same exact specs but a little less features, lower specs. Eg for BMW, many models under touring, sport etc. Ducati also have many CC of their monsters
