  1. My suggestion is go for the lesson first. You might not like it after the first few lesson (like my wife). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Looking at a 1998 Monster 400. What are the things I should look out for when viewing the bike? Noticed that the price range for this model is quite elastic i.e. some are asking 13K while some are asking 8k
  3. Go for it....YOLO....you be surprised at the many different type of different learners you will meet. you'll be motivated. height should not be a deterring issue.
  4. TP today and I passed!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Being a 41 year old uncle, I probably going for a cheap 2nd hand bike since I got plans to go onto Class 2. I was inspired to take class 2B after seeing a cam spyder on the road Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Finally cleared Lesson 8. TP in 6 weeks time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Got to try Lesson 8 again. 18 pts with one immediate failure at ebrake. Front wheel edge out of the line slightly...sigh.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Most of what the seniors said here are right. For me, I will aim to align my wheel and plank straight first at the stop line. Then throttle and go up the plank then off throttle. Then grip the tank real tight and look straight. Some seniors say to clutch all the way while some say half clutch. I find the half clutch a better method. But the problem with the bikes in CDC is that some bikes at gear one you half clutch or not makes not difference. So go with the method you are most comfortable. Another key shared by the instructor is that when u start to shift left and right, that's when u should
  9. I rent the locker if I am bringing my laptop home to work. It uses the new $1 coin. Don't leave your belongings at the gathering area because no instructor will be there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Just relax. It took me 3 lessons to clear L1. If you can manage to "bang" well, then the instructor will get you to join the mini circuit. No need to wait for all to be ready. To pass L1, important thing is know how to brake and stop. That is the key to passing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Congrats Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks all for the advices. Cleared both 6 and 7 this week. Going for the final 8 in 2 weeks time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks jbdoggy. The distance between the give way line and to making a right turn is pretty short. Does it mean that I need to, at least, get the bike to travel a short straight distance? Probably will need to revisit again and ask the instructor on monday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. No leh....instructor says bike must be on or behind the straight arrow before filtering to the next lane then make right turn. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Failed my lesson 6 (1st time) today. Had 2 immediate failure where one of which I misunderstood the instructor's hand signal and the 2nd failure when inside CDC, drove diagonally into making a right turn before getting turning right into the nursery. Trying again next Monday Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
