    they should just focus more on road safety and those goods-carrying vehicles and heavy vehicles flouting regulations on the expressway. easily in my daily commute to work on PIE, i can easily point out and shoo off 5-6 goods-carrying vehicles and heavy vehicles travelling on 2nd lane, hogging up the traffic behind. shouldn't TP be doing this job? a simple comparison, does the issue of 'strict enforcement' happened before when TP was at the helm of the whole operations in LTA? or only does it happened when LTA took over the duties from TP? as far as i know, those LTA(posted from TP) are

    gone are the days where the ROV officers are TP officers on-tour at LTA. that's the big difference between a full-fledge civil servant and parliah employee of LTA. Really wonder if they are considered civil servants for those new LTA riders.

    no need display nor carry. their system very atas 1.. can check your insurance/road tax/season parking, etc whether valid or not valid.. lost road tax replacement cost $$$.. either wait for renewal or replace at your own cost..

    they should simply abolish registration with LTA. just do it the simple way, got cert from manufacturer stating that it's approved for road use(e-marked) is good enough. afterall, all vehicles upon 3rd year of registration on the roads have to go for annual inspections. non-compliance = fine. if got cert still not considered LEGAL, really can take the certification and throw at their face.

    the nearest TUV center is in HK.. in-house test lab may not get approved. and that's the best part.. LTA keep on emphasising on standard standard standards.. but LTA doesn't have a test lab of its own. and how they determine whether it pass anot.. by papers lo.. typical paper-pushers..

    not when if you know the rules.. there are certain grey areas where you can challenge back them, if you are very confident and got some $$$ to spare..

    to know whether they can summon you on 'illegal' mods, see their plate will do.. if it is LTA XXXX, then yes they are the LTA outriders.. if their plates are those FBX XXXX, then those are sub-contractors by cisco, etc..

    that's the wonderful thing about LTA.. a particular exhaust can be EU certified, but not legal in Singapore context unless you are able to produce proprietary documents to them for endorsement. EU > DOT > LTA/PSB.. it's just like the helmet issues on the PSB stickers.. DOT/Snell approved, but not PSB approved = not legal helmet. singapore bureaucracy is the most fantastic, seriously they need to wake up their dumb ideas especially when all they are seeing are a piece of result slips and figures on it. if they have any reasons to reject and deem it illegal, set up a TUV-appro

    the funny thing is why is LTA asking akra dealer to bring in a demo bike for final approval when they(LTA) dun even have an testing center for the emission. hear the sound also shiok?

  19. that depends if your headers are street legal or not. high chances that the headers are street legal, so no point going for inspections.
  20. my take, go for renowned brands like Braking, Galfer, EBCs.. or even OEMs.. they are better than those parlia brands.. cheap and good = not exactly possible.. remember, your brakes are the only things that will stop you safely when in speed of 60kmh or >200kmh..

  23. you can only duplicate the key, but not code the key. coding required the RED master key.
  24. electrical circuitry will be on, but the immobilisers light(red light) will flash. you can crank your engine, but it wouldn't start. the effect is similar to having your kill-switch switched to ON(meaning you killed the engine).
