  1. Don't worry about it, starting without fuel is harmless. However, starting and running without engine oil is a different story altogether. From your description of the events, you should be fine. Electric starting and push starting initiates the engine different. For push starting, you are forcing the combustion cycle to initiate and usually works. For electric starting, its not always successful even on a normal bike. Google or Youtube to understand a bit more, its not difficult.
  2. You can try the row of shops there along Desker Road like Ever Success and Chong Aik.
  3. I have recently fitted a Michelin City Grip on my rear and it's feeling good so far. Did it at Hua Chin for $155, not sure if it's a good price. My old tire blew up on me, had to tow and replace, didn't have time to shop around.
  4. You can try Sum Soon at CCK but call them first to confirm that they have ready stock for your ride.
  5. Thanks for generously sharing the information, bros. Just one more thing, I cannot locate the information of the diameter of the handlebar. The Silverwing600 forum mentioned that it is 7/8 inches. As that is a different model, I am not sure if it also applies to my FJS400D. Anyone knows the diameter of the handlebar for the local 400cc model?
  6. Thanks for the info. I can't tell from the photograph, is the grip thicker than the stock Silverwing ones?
  7. Dear fellow SW bros, I would to replace the stock handlebar grips to slightly thicker ones. Was researching around and one possibility is the Kuryakyn Iso universal set 6241. It's not cheap, so I would like to find out if anyone has replaced their grips locally before I get something off the internet and risk it not fitting on my bike. Please share some possibilities if you have come down this path before. Thanks. Sent from my Redmi Pro using Tapatalk

  9. Depending on how much time you have left, waiting for COE prices to drop may not work out for everyone. For renewal of COE, owner pays a Prevailing Quota Premium (PQP). It's the average of the COE for past 3 months. I managed to renew the COE for my SW at $6.3k mid March. Bear in mind that the average of 3 months means the high COE prices of the last month has to fall away from the calculation for the PQP when you renew. That would be at least four months away and it's assuming COE prices do not continue to climb. If time is on your side, you can wait it out but otherwise, it's perhaps mor

  11. With the additional ARF loading, a brand new Sportster will be more than double my asking price. This bike is underused, am riding it once a week on most occasions and sometimes twice. It's not a daily workhorse, wear and tear is minimal. Let's discuss if you have any interest, price can be negotiated. Sent from my Redmi Pro using Tapatalk
  12. I have been to all Suzuki motorcycle parts dealer in Singapore and most have not heard of the Boulevard. It was so difficult to replace the rectifier, I had to buy one of a different model from Ever Success and modified it to fit my Boulevard. And that is the only thing I have changed other than tires and the regular maintenance stuff! Ideally, the owner should be able to get some help from the shop who brought this in but my experience with them was nothing useful. After all, after selling the bike and making money off the initial purchase, the rest is small money. Things may not have
  13. Up again, price is negotiable, talk to me. Sent from my Redmi Pro using Tapatalk
  14. I have not bought from them as my bike is currently on sale, no point. To ship to Singapore, you can use a courier like Borderlinx or Vpost or Comgateway. Sent from my Redmi Pro using Tapatalk
  15. As long as nothing requires Boulevard parts, you are ok. It was a very reliable bike when I owned it. But parts are hard to find, I was fortunate enough not to have to source for them as nothing broke down. Sent from my Redmi Pro using Tapatalk
