  1. I've seen those house lizard in my bike 3 times already. ride half way and the lizard climbs out from under my cb400 speedometer or tank area. scare me. haha

It happened to me also. Was walking towards my bike to go home after work. I saw the lizard on my seat. When I wanted to scare it away, it crawled under the seat.

I was sweating like hell. Cos my fear of house lizards is like 12 out of 10.

I shook my bike like hell, but it is still there. Till today. I think. Hope it crawled out already. That beast has to eat and drink right? Hahaha..

  2. Hi Kelvin, got a few inquiries here...

My bike's birthday coming up. And I really mean birthday. COE, road tax, inspection and insurance. Thing is, I'm kinda short on time. Is it possible to leave my bike with you, and at least help me out with the inspection? Cos I know if I go by myself, high possibility cannot pass.

Inspection due 21st Apr. I totally forgot about it.

I'm in camp, and I'm only free on fri and sat.

Would appreciate if UM, or any of you guys, could give me some pointers.

  3. Tap water is cheaper.. Haha.. I got the same problem too when i got my S4. Went to shop and the mech told me my fan not working. I dunno what he meant cos i newbie. So i just say, ok ok repair..

Then a few days later, though fan works, but its still very hot.. I ask my frens they say no problem. Go buy proper coolant from shop, can already..

Then a few days later, i can still feel strong heat between my thighs whenever i ride.. I ask my dad. He simply says, "If its not hot, its not an engine."

Somehow he made sense. So i just forgot about the problem. Today my bike works fine. Either the problem is somehow solved, or my thighs are immune to the heat already.

Go get ur bike checked. Get a honest and reliable shop to take a look at ur bike. Try Engine Ice if u want. I did. At the end of the day, i just remember what my dad told me..

Anybody got info on Comfort Driving Centre? The URA carpark next to the Renault building is closed, since when, i dunno.. Saw lots of bikes park at the pavement all over the place..

  5. interesting thread, just managed to read it today, might be a bit too late...ready signed the papers for a fazer 6 '08...

btw,to the thread starter,i understand where you're coming from with the engagement thingy, just got pass that stage myself,on my part,my fiancee doesnt mind me forking out an additional $120/- a month for a fazer 6 compare to $100/- a month for my previous spec 2 and she doesnt mind helping me out a bit on the finance side,so an understanding and/or equally generous partner is important too when it comes to making that decision between a need and a want...:cheeky:

Whoa. Fazer 6. Nice.. Glad u passed thru the engagement period. Me, i dunno when.. Hahaha.. It was bad during the past Hari Raya. All the relatives, especially the aunts, constantly elbowing, nudging me.. Eh, when is ur turn.. Alamak...

Doesnt help that my cousin just gotten engaged, and she's 1year younger than me. Anyway, I think I'm taking up all the big bros advice here.. I'm saving up for my cl2 bike.. I think paying cash is better. Or at least a huge chunk for downpayment. Wouldn't want to eat grass on a Class2 bike.. Haha..

  6. All S4 no..engine vaccum drumping diaghram assisted. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Ah Pek got wrong before meh...

Anyway, sure all of us are scared to try our fuel limit.. But just inform a friend before u go on ur test. Then he would come to ur rescue with just enough petrol to bring u to the nearest petrol kiosk. Just make sure he's not sleeping la..... Hahaha...

  7. Anything above 300km for me full tank is good enough.. 1Seth1 recommends to change gears up quickly. When i do that, i find myself twisting the throttle more cos no power.. Haha..

Just a question, forgive me if its a silly one. Err.... How to adjust the trip meter? I thought the 2 buttons are for adjusting time only? Paiseh ah if i dunno. :sorry:

  8. Been so long since I checked up on my thread..

Got a whole lot of big bros sharing their experiences and advice..

Taking it one step at a time though..

Surprising enough to see more and more Class2 bikes on the road. Still remember a few years back when there were loads of KRRs and Waves on the road.. *Sigh* Where did they all go to.. Especially Waves with speakers on their box, booming music loudly.. Hahaha... Fun times.. Ahaha.. Guess they all grown up and now owning a Class2 bike now..

Me still happily enough on my trusty Super 4.. To the bro who approached me at Auntie shop, saying my bike looks nice, thanks yeah.. Yup, I did put in a lot of effort on my bike.. But still the lure of a bigger bike looms somewhere at the back of my mind.. Bro DeusExMachina really took pains in explaining the installment part..

Dunno if this is out of topic, but there is some silly stuff bothering me..

U guys know that sometimes at traffic lights-especially u bros with big bikes- smaller bikes would purposely stop just slightly behind u, although there is ample space to stop side by side... Why ah? Funny right.. Haha... No need to answer.. Just having some fun here... Hahaha... Thanks guys for all your pointers and sharing your life experiences... Ride safe everyone.

  9. And remember to check ur brakes too.. Rear one especially. Make sure its not jammed. That was the culprit for me. Mine was 240km before reserve. But afetr servicing, its 320km.

Squat behind ur bike with your right knee below ur exhaust.

Lift up the bike slightly with ur right knee, and try to spin the wheel.

    Hope it helps....

  10. Didn't know that this would be a hot thread... Anyway, thank you for all your pointers. The main point that I guess everyone is talking about is : Budget.

Sure, the lure of a Class2 bike is tempting. But the insurance is sky-high. I dun want to post in the Garage Sale a year later when the bike's 'birthday' comes around.. Insurance, road tax, installment, servicing...... :faint: :faint:

A car is not in my next planning yet. My next box to tick is 'engagement'. Hahaha.. U know la how Malay families are. Both set of parents are hinting to u and ur gf... "Aiyah, so long friends already, go get engaged better right.. " :D

Luckily she's still studying and still yet to go into the working world. Im 23 and she's 20... Soooo....maybe in 2 years time perhaps.

Dunno why I'm telling u guys about my life... But i sure can sense a few of u guys out there are smiling and nodding slowly and can relate to my point of life right now.. :D :D

  11. Hows ur scorpion

Loving it. Dunno whether its true that people say that u need to 'season' ur pipe to make it sound nicer.. But then I do hear it it getting louder and smoother. Well, maybe it's just me.

Performance wise, before tuning, not much diff from stock..

But after I serviced and tuned carbs... :thumb:

Bro Biting Point said that there's no distinct roaring when v-tec opens.

But i feel like mine have. There's definitely a distinct sound change (okay maybe not alot, but there is) when v-tec opens. From smooth and bassy, whack at 3rd gear and above then i hear a 'pop' sound like super loud. Go up slowly thru the gear, provided the road is straight enuf, its still roaring.

Dunno la eh.. No 2 bikes are similar. Same model, same version, even if u top up V-power on both, 1 might say its smooth, another might say its draggy.

    Hope it make sense. :D

  12. whoa! you both stay chai chee??

    which area sia??

i'm staying at chai chee too!

    blk 51..

and still waiting for scorpion to come out for revo..

    CB400 Revo(2/6/2008-??)

51 quite far from me bro. ok la not that far.. my bike is at 29A. the MSCP. But dun anyhow touch ah.. From my bed, i can see my bike.. Hehehe..

  13. The more i see it, the more i like it... Nicely done bro! Good job.

Pity it had to rain just now, or else we could grab some drinks together.

My friends will surely ask where i get it from.. Hahaha...

But anyway, the pics of our bike with the rain droplets, kinda cool huh... Especially the pic of my pipe up close.. Nice job! Thanks kelvin.. :D

  14. Glad you are happy with your new pipe.. i'm staying very near you.. let me know if you need help in taking out the silencer..

you are right, it's totally different to hear your pipe from behind..

i'm not exactly very happy.. sound wise, really lose out a lot, especially when VTEC opens, no change of sound compared to other pipes/FS..

but just contented with the product i've bought..

pacify myself as the finishing is very good compared to all the others..

I dun need help taking it out, i took out mine already as in ur earlier posts suggested.. Err.. I need help putting it back in.. Ahakz...

Well, just like you, i am contented with my choice. My friends say that the sound is not the 'crisp' sound. But more of a smooth and bassy type.. Hmm.. Dunno how to explain. But it sounds great to me. But seriously, when vtec opens, there's a distinct 'pop' sound. Or is it just me?? Psychologically WANTS to hear a different sound.. Hahahaha.. Dunno la eh.. Of course different pipe, diff sound.

I agree with u as the CF look is so the 3D.. Nice.. No regrets getting a Scorpion. =)
