I just managed to sell off my Remus this year. So much happier with the J & H. Can actually hear my pipes on the expressway over the wind noise whereas in the past with the Remus I couldn't

check out this forum: http://xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/showthread.php?t=497716 Post #2. The switch is right in front of the final drive sprocket. Means if you want to change it most probably the sprocket gotta come out. Maybe just try taking out the connector and blasting it with contact cleaner. That works for me on my older bikes that I used to have.

hit.man, try using canned compressed air: I tried it before on my old Phantom but it didn't work because it was a huge dent. Maybe it'll work on yours.

Amon-Ra, have patience and test ride it yourself... Your butt is different from your friend's butt lol. amen23, just simply keep the rpm low in gear 2. The legal pipes are quiet when the throttle is almost closed. Not legal pipes? No way around it. Sure piss people off.

How tall are you? If you're 1.85m like me, a Sportster is too small. Comfort is important. If you can't stand being on the bike for 10 min you're not gonna like it. I find mini apes comfortable, while others hate it and swap it out (saw a 72 with drag bars) Do you plan to change things? If you do, just get the cheapest model and swap parts to your hearts content. If you don't, then you gotta decide which aspect of the bike matters more to you. Footpeg position, handle bar type, exhaust style, wheel size... To me, part of the joy of Harley ownership is having a bike that is yours and like

I ride my Street Bob to work everyday. Total riding time about 1hrs 30 min everyday. All that crap from work goes away the moment I start the engine No, a Harley is not just a transport bike. It takes a real man to ride it and lane split through heavy traffic.

If you got cash to spare get the Screamin Eagle Pro Super Tuner and make it run rich at part throttle... Runs slightly cooler. But still will get hot when not moving

I ride a Street Bob to work daily. Stock mini apes with hard saddlebags. No problems squeezing through traffic like other big bikes. Just gotta take it slow in the tight spots and take it easy when starting out. The bike feels slow in handling but learn to countersteer and it will be quite nimble. Fuel consumption I get around 17km/l normal riding, 15-16km/l ride-it-like-you-stole-it Normal maintenance is just like any bike. Not expensive at all. In fact I love not having to lube the chain because it is belt driven! Until parts fail. So take care of it by checking oil regularly and us
