  1. The radiator on the Monster 1100 is not really a radiator, it's an Oil Cooler, and is fine for our roads. As DB says very different engines, so comes down to style, as both plenty fast enough for our roads. Never tried the SF, but the 4v's are supposed to have less torque more top end power, where as 2v are better at the bottom end. In terms of 1100 verses 1100evo, they are very similar, unlikely to find a used Evo yet though. The exhausts and rearsets are the main visual difference, and it comes standard with traction control and abs, which i believe were optional on the 1100/1100s. Al

  3. No carbon for you I'm afraid thats if you want to stay legal, and this narrows down some of the choices. Reason is the catalytic converter is in the end of the can, and for this to do its job, it produces heat higher than what the carbon can take with out burning up. Options are Arrow, LeoVince, Akrapovic in Alloy or Titanium, as while are others out there I doubt they are on the LTA list. One of the GMax owners has a Monster Evo with an LV on (they are the importer after all) if you want to see how one looks in person. It is normally out front of their store in Ubi area.
  4. Whoops - I still think in miles, rather than Kilometers😲 As service every 12k is recommended according to the book.
  5. I sure remember spooning with my GF, but I never spoon feed her...😳 haha. And anyway I'm not sure you would be my type? 😃
  6. 😄 Yeah there is loads of information on here on on the Ducati Forums, but in terms of F/C this depends on how you twist the throttle and type of ridding you do. I ride ever day and normally go through a tank every week and a half, but at only $22 a time (high octane) never felt the need to work it out. Service is every 7,500 kms, but most guys get oil changed once in between, but again depends on how often you ride and the type of oil you use. In all a 696 should not be that much more expensive once you have it than any other full size bike, unless you find yourself thumbing through the R
  7. What are your questions Koxie? I'm on an 1100 but might be able to help?
  8. It depends on the oil you use, how you ride the bike, and how long it takes to get that mileage. For the low cost of fresh oil and filter, personally I would at least do a change in the middle of these so around every 5/6000 kms. Anyway good luck trying to get your brakes and tires to last 12k if you use it properly... haha 😜
  9. (whoops).... power or rough running, they would not shut down the dash. Hopefully will just be a loose connection!
  10. I would say it is electrical issue for sure, loose connection, bad earth, faulty ecu, the list goes on, so only way for sure is to check if any fault codes come up at Minerva on their machines, as if it is happening while riding it could be dangerous (you don't want it bump starting mid corner!!) Bad fuel or aftermarket pipes would at worse cause stuttery
  11. Ups for your sale, great bike and just like mine, although I'm still jealous as yours has some tastier bits than mine, plus u have bothered to wash it... If u fancy selling those rear sets I know a man who would be pretty interested 😃
  12. Got the cap sorted today - Just in case anybody else gets caught out, Minerva do them for just $10 a set which is the cap plus the rubber gator.
  13. Thanks Guys, yes the round one. Found a great brand new price on eBay.us problem is they want S$6 for the cap, but $251 for the shipping...  The milk cap is holding up surprisingly well, but will check out Motoworld this Sat if the ebayer does not get back to me before with some more realistic postage.
  14. Can you believe it... I parked my M1100 in the bike park opposite Wheelock Place for about an hour today, on my way out I looked down and was shocked to find some sneaky lowlife thief had stolen the plastic cap off my clutch fluid reservoir!!! The rubber insert was thankfully still there, but I still had a nervous ride home... What is even worse it was probably a fellow biker!! Hope Minerva carry these, as my zip-tied green milk-bottle cap replacement looks a bit out of place :-(
  15. Thanks for the recommendations I will check these out in future. Will also definitely try and join a meet up! but it may take me a while as what with too much work and two small boys i never seem to get much spare time... Would be good to use it for more than just commuting though as the ECP at around 8.30 each morning and night is not the best road to have much fun on!! Any other 1100 riders here? As would be good to pick your brains on what mods have worked for you before I get too carried away 
