i just change my iu unit recently. the problem is, it can read my cashcard. but as i want to pass through the barrier, it didnt read my iu. so i have to remove the cashcard and do it manually. anyone know whats the problem?

where did u mount it?

u hv to mount the iu in certain angle in order for the sensor to read ur iu.

my fren using ksr.. keep his iu in small pouch mod his iu with portable 12v battery. still can detect. but not when entering some carpark

i also hav tis pblm. go thur ERP no pblm. but go to parking , selected places giv me pblm. still doing my conclusion , mayb find 1 day go to LTA to check. any advice?

since we are on this topic. If you IU unit is gonna be 4 years old. Hmmm if possible try and damage it so that u don't have to pay for a new one if it ever spoils. I had to pay ard 160 dollars for to replace a new one cos mine was over 4 years olds.

I got my replacement when my IU die on me at the 5th year. They give 50% rebate for expired IU i think. I paid $80 for a new one.

Got such thing? Mine was spoilt hen go Vicom they said its 150++..Then I said I go source for 2nd hand one..But till this day its IU-less..

ya IU now sell 150+ at vicom. super expensive. but go buy 2rd hand one around 70-90. Actually 2rd hand one more bo hua cos warranty dont know how long liao. 80-60 more get a new one with 5 year warranty (maximum), more worth it =D

guys i have got 2 bike, is there anyway i can interchange the IUs on both bike? i asked the LTA, they say cannot change, cause the iu is registered under ur bike. but if we buy 2ndhand how to register to LTA? thanks!!

the old IU needs to be deregistered (means the bike it was attached to must be scrapped), then can transfer to another. yours both the bikes still OTR, thats why cant swap.

so if i have 2 bikes...n i have a slim iu wic original bike was scrapped....can i transfer the slim iu to either bike...den original iu from the bike sell off?

Should be okay, but i dont tink u can sell off ur old one, since the buyer cant register it (since its not deregistered officially). I tink u shud enquire LTA for a better answer.
