Hey, I'm having the exact same prob too. It seems like batt died but I just changed the batt 2 mths ago. I changed to wet batt, it still happens...

Btw, where is this fuse box?

But then again, the funny thing for my case is, if I put the fuel switch to ON the problem happens, but when I put the fuel switch to RESERVE then no problem. So I guess it could be the fuel valve or smthg?

I'm riding SP... and how do I know if the fuse is faulty?

just take out the fuses one by one..

see if the fuses 'broke' already...

thats all....

Hi Guys,

I am riding a SP and have the same problem mention.. Change my battery 1 mth ago, then found out that my rectifier faulty. then change rectifier 2 week ago. But problem still come back. Went back to the mechanic, he did a check but only find that my light bulb is 12V/ 35W, and the original is 12V/ 30W. he remove 1 bulb and charge up my battery. Now is currently running fine, but dunno when the problem will come back again becos the bulb has been running fine for 2 years without any problems.

U mentioned that the fuse box will cause everything to go haywire. i just open it up and according to the fuse cover diagram, i find that the 20A fuse and 10A fuse is placed wrongly.

Qns:

1.Should i change the fuses myself and are they the cause?

2.And does the bulbs really affect the bike?

Please advice! Trouble... Thanks in advance

next time change anything ..ask for the faulty parts return to u...if like that wrong diagnosis... ask for refunds man..:sian:

the bulb is not the problem.....it shows you your likely area of failure , to me it looks like electrical leakages....thats why your battery is drained...

if your battery weak again...i suggest you check for leakages..

the oversize bulb may have weaken your wires (after many years of usage) resulting in the lost of insulation...IMHO
