hmm .. i wonder wats or how the speed cam differenciate motorcycles n car speed ? ...

if i travel 115 on pie while car has 90km varies from my ride ... meaning i wont get ticket right for speeding? ... hmmm

sorry lah i noob lah on this gps thingy .... :)

but i last time also kena in court for speeding .. where my speedo is 105 but the ticket clocked 120km ... hmmmm .... how ah .... :)

Interesting point. But I believe there will be speed camera that flashes? So in the photo was it only your bike or some other vehicle also? Do they send the photo to your house as evidence?

I believe the camera and the speed sensor is very intelligent. The moment it detects any object that breaches the speed limit, the camera kind of locks on to the object and then follows the object and takes a few pictures. Singapore invests in this kind of cutting edge technology and thats why it is so successfully in becoming the fine city :cheeky:

What do you think? Should change or not? These are bridgestone made in Japan, if I change, it wont be bridgestone, it will be something like Michelin, Shinko or Duro, hence the dilemma, haha

Also look at my trip meter on my 1st full tank, almost 200 kms not yet 1 bar down,so looks like my P200 will also do 600 kms for full tank, woohoohoo.

Tread depth and tread wear indicators

For the most part, motoring law in most countries determines that your tyres need a minimum tread depth to be legal. This varies from country to country but is normally around 1.6mm. To assist you in figuring out when you're getting close to that value, most tyres have tread wear indicators built into them. If you look around the tread carefully, at some point you'll see a bar of rubber which goes across the tread and isn't part of the regular pattern (see the picture here for an example). This is the wear indicator. It's really basic, but it's also pretty foolproof. The tread wear indicator is moulded into the rubber at a depth of about 2mm normally. As the rubber in your tyres wears away due to everyday use, the tread wears down. At some point, the tyre tread will become flush with the wear indicator (which is normally recessed into the tread). At this point you have about 2mm of tread left - in other words it is time to change tyres.

Pls visits the link and read .. "Minimum legal tread depth does not mean "safe"." and see the video link too :)

Thanks :). The rear tyre definitely looks like needs a change. Will head to Ah Boy next week and get it changed and see how the feel of the ride is, also need to head to UM to get the steering cone bearings changed.

5: center stand not provided (optional price) ... (moslyt complained)

6: stock tyres slippery .. (mostly complained)

7: The digital speedometer shown incorrect digits many times..

8: There are little vibration for the rider and pillion which can be felt but that create no problem in riding quality.(few complained)

9: rear disc brake pads create sound ... (feww complained)

10: coolant leak .. (most complaint)

11: water sip into tank from fuel cap ..( latest complained)

is there special tools for removing or cone bearings ? clamps or press or anythihng ? becasue i also have mid speed wobbles. at 40-60. sometimes at 70. dont know whether its my tyres, my box (REMOVED BOX AND STILL GOT WOBBLE), cone bearings, or the bike is doesnt have dynamic stability..THEN NEED A DAMPER!

I did some reading on this wobble issue. Most of the articles say that its either tyre or steering cone. In case of steering cone, 1st thing to try would be to loosen the top steering bolt and then tighten the steering cone and then tighten back the top steering bolt. See if this helps. If it doesnt then no choice need to get the whole thing removed and changed.

In all the previous pulsars I had, there were steering cone issues, but they were different. That time, I would feel a bit of unstablility while turning the handlebar, but while going straight no issues. The UM mechs would simply loosen the steering cone a bit and the issue would be solved.

This time I guess, the issues is opposite need to tighten a bit. Today I will take my bike to Tampines Ind Area and try it before taking to UM.

try tighten ur end weight dampers first and see how ...

check ur front wheel bearings ...

26. Steering stem bearing replce Every 10000kms

27. Wheel bearing replace Every 10000kms

Wow, isnt that too frequent? May be bajaj bearings not good. Can we put after market better quality bearings that last longer like other bikes?

wheel bearing can last longer but depends on usage, road condition and failure ... its a good habit to check first on every 10k .. if need to change than change .. manual book is just a guide

" Wheel bearings usually last quite a while, perhaps 15,000 to 30,000 miles. If you FEEL any play in the bearings replace them. If the wheel hub feels very hot to the touch, check to see if the brakes are dragging. If the brakes are not dragging, replace the bearings because there has been a lubrication failure. The bearings have overheated and are ruined. Likewise, if you have the axle out for some reason, like a tire change, and you notice it is discolored, as if it had been heated up with a torch, replace the bearings and the axle too. If you are going on a long trip and can't remember when you last replaced the wheel bearings, replace the bearings. If in doubt, replace the bearings. You only have two wheels. If one locks up at speed, you will be in BIG trouble! "

hello people,

I dont see much buying selling happening in this thread. As pulsar parts unique, we should share what we have for spare and it may help fellow pulsarians instead of buying new from UM.

I have a slight damaged pulsar 180 ug3 headlight and also pulsar 180 steering cone and bearings for sale. Not sure if steering cone bearings will fit Pulsar 200, you need to check with UM. The headlamp will fit all pulsars except UG1 & UG2.

I dont mind barter system also, instead of cash let me know what you have, I may be interested. I encourage others also to put up their spares for sale/barter here so that it helps everybody cut cost.

Cheers! :)
