hi bros, need some comments. my bike now got a problem with starting.

will have a tick tick sound when press ignition key. so according to the info, it should be battery weak. but i remember the battery changed less than 6 months only.

so i read on n e info states it might be rectifier, but that also less than 6 months old.

so do u all think is battery or rectifier?

the only difference to my bike now is i added LED. but i seldom switch it on. n also, i fixed up all e led on my own n when to mechanic n ask him help to help me connect to the power cause i not sure which one to fix to. he helped me connect the black wire from the led to the black wire in the left side chrome cover there and the other cable which is the red one, he connected onto a nut at the carbon starter there... might this be the problem??? is this set up draining e battery even without switching on the LED???

thanks bros. really appreciate ur help. :)

since you are new, have you tried oiling/lubricating your chain? Try with your engine NOT running, press/sit down on your seat and stand. Repeat that to confirm if sound is from suspension.

Might be rear wheel bearing if noise from rear. Or your suspension? Try and follow what I mentioned above to the other dude. :thumb:

wad bout like wen i do free wheeling sometimes.. there a weird sound coming from my bike.. its like a goli(marble) sound, rolling somewhere in the bike..

is it the wheel bearing? but i don encounting anything from turing n stuffs.

Hi people,

Hopefully u guys can help me out.. Ive had a TA 200 FW plate for 3 odd years already. Recently, i had a major accident on the PIE when my bike chain DERAILED, got stuck in the rear tyre and i skidded on the expressway. Luckily i suffered minor scratches.. Since then ive been super paranoid regarding my bike chain. My new "heavy duty" bike chain started rattling again a month ago and i got it tightened.. and now its the same problem. I paid 100 for the chain set and sprocket change. Is this problem of chain loosening so common with the TA200 that its better for me to change to another bike? I seriously cannot live with the fear of that accident happening again

Thanks in advance guys, Appreciate it

phantom have this problem of getting a loose chain.. to prevent any mishaps, visually check your chain to make sure its not loose.. lube it often. learn how to tighten it yourself but make sure it isnt too tight..

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

Thanks in advance guys, Appreciate it

as with every accident...have we learn anything out of it..??

we need to overcome the phobia and pick ourself up and move on..

the very first question is why did the chain derailed/break??

chains are not made to derailed/break like that...it is make to last until it is too long to use on the bike...

the normal reaction i would say ..hey u did not maintain the chains properly at regular intervals..like cleaning and lubbing it with the correct lub, adjusting the tension etc etc:dozed:

..bad sprockets/chains with bad tensions..are accidents waiting to happen.:(

anyway besides brakes and tyres..chains are the next likely to fail due to lack of maintenace and this part actually needed to be inspected , adjusted at regular intervals or after a ride in the rain or mud..and replaced worn parts when required..

Thanks for the wake up call MrSingh..

I believe that you neglected your chain and failed to do a pre ride inspection and no, its not a common problem. Have not find the need to tighten my chain after proper lubrication and no gunning.

At first I thought you wanna jet your Phantom carb... Then I realised that you meant jack. Yep, jack on pipe. I jack it near the heat shield there, but must make sure nothing heavy in box. If dunno/not sure where/how, next time go planet n observe... :)

Haha. It's ok. For your case, it seems that your bike is tail heavy (forgot that you got 3 boxes!). Try emptying the boxes and if that still doesn't work, try putting some load on the handlebar.
