Anyone here done their own DIY engine oil change for Fazer 6 S2?

Dont think its that difficult ...

Prefer to do it on my own ... spent 2 hours waitin at a workshop few days ago ... after waiting so long, the guy spilt some oil and bike was smoking afterwards ...

Hope can see it being done once ...

there are quite a few bros here who know how to do these, so do i...

but i'll only do it when there's a need or when my buddy is free to diy together...

else i'll go shop to do it too... save my time and keep my hands clean...

if u really interested, u can get 3 bottles of EO + measuring bottle + wench that can open the EO plug + disposal container...

these will be required for changing EO only... be also sure to prepare some wet and dry napkins for clean up process...

to change oil filter, depending wad type if your oil filter, u need the oil filter wench...

to change spark plug, u need the spark plug wench...

fastest method is to unlock your radiator and tilt it to one side to change it...

to the above, be sure to apply the correct tightening torque...

My friend riding an 03 FZS600 experience violent head shake when he goes hands free. Today just replaced the steering cone bearings but condition didn't improve at all.

Front wheel bearing feels ok. Any idea what it might be?

How old is the tire?

-Uneven wear ?

-Off balance wheel?

-Insufficient air pressure?

-Faulty fork?

Tire considered new. He got the bike 2nd hand with only 25,000km on the odo. Hasn't done any major replacement since he got the bike 6 months ago.

The problem came with the bike when he got it. The head shake happens immediately when you let your hands off the bar, even at slow speed very slow speed.

By right, when you let go of the handle (not for fun, just for testing), the bike should stay true to the line and go straight.

If it slants to 1 side or wobbles badly, then something is of course not right.

As some have mentioned, it could be tyre pressure, balancing, top box, panniers...etc.

Well, of course if the bike has been in a accident before and the frame/ fork is not true, it might be the cause too.

But as always, go for what is the simplest cause first and move down the probable list.

Most of the time, its a tiny, weeny issue that is causing the problem. :)

Congrats! I used to ride an 06. Loved it to bits..(literally )

change bars or risers or both. You may need to change to custom brake lines. Those pre cut lines will give very little tolerance.

Tires depend on what u want. Some like more grippy some like more lasting. Some go for touring and some go for track.

Personally I like Pirelli and Metzler but a lot here use Michelin.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.
