Its juz my personal opinion....cos I bought one from them a year ago...a double bubble smoke one for 30 sgd I think.......ps: its the one on my red rvf picture, the black one...but later I discover it was slanted one(meaning the double bubble not in the centre)...maybe its only that particular piece not good lah or LAB got a better one never let me know...well I still go to them to buy stuff nowaday juz my 2 cents on one bad purchase I had made in the past.

No offense to anyone.

anyway the yellow one is broken at the screw hole juz like the one someone posted sometime back so thats why I bought another one not b'cos I have too much money to throw or show off......

read the site yoshi posted rgding voltage stabiliser and saw the voltage diagrams drawn out as well as their explanation and snakeman's explanation sounds correct, further backup by ghost's testimony. I still wondering why its like that leh(thks for your answers pple, I am not doubling anyone and I believe it must be true but I wonder why thats all).....engine is really a blackbox so hard to understand.:giddy: :giddy:

thought engine power and electrical system are separate entities?

although electrical power is drawn from the magnetic coil, does the electrical output somehow feedback to the crank or combustion in the cylinders?

even if it stabilises the voltage(less overshoot, faster transient response) does that means electrical power output from the magnetic coil can reduced? thought output of electricity is affected by rpm, izzit there are some control system by the cdi?

I am really puzzled.....then this bring me back to the issue of grounding? wats the effects and how good this is compare to voltage stabiliser? :giddy: :giddy:

btw I am only refering to how well the engine can perform with such add-on not the electrical devices.

i just made this new addition to my bike this afternoon. it is for reducing the current at headlights as well as protection for the switchset.

parts needed are a 2way toggle switch, 0.22 ohm(3W, a simple dpdt relay, solder and wires.

total parts cost excluding solder from sim lim was about 5 bucks.

when 2 bulbs are on, the current drawn in total is about 9A. thats alot. u seldom have household app at 9A. if 1 bulb, it is about 4.5A

alot of us add a simple toggle switch to on and off the lights. but the mistake is that the 9A is still passing through the switchset. then again, some of u may ask that was the original config anyway.

when honda designed the headlights, they were rated 30W. now the bulb very hard to find. commonly available is 55W. which draws alot of current.

the reason why the switch set keeps spoiling is coz, 9A produces alot of heat. causing the plastic to melt over time.

so, i made this circuit.

the switch set is used for activating a relay. relays draw very little current. so, the switchset is now safe from high current.

the i put a 0.22ohm resistor in series to the 12V supply, to reduce current to the headlights. this is to prevent the bulb sockets from melting. the resistor has to be rated 3W(mini) as it is very little resistance and even little current produces high power.and in this case its about 9A. P=I*I*R. with this addition, we can fit white halogens without the worry of melting.

the toggle switch is used to on/off headlights. why? for people pushing bike at custom. some of us like riding at second link at night without lights. for fun. but its wired in such away that even with the toggle switch off, u can activate the high beam or flash.

the schematic is attached. if u want to do it urself, go ahead. but if u guys want me to do it for u, i will charge 20. i need to save up for airfilter. i think 20 bucks is a good investment for a long term saving

hey guys u all eva play pick up with ur frens ? say riding a cbr 400 ? we went to a secluded place.. realli straight 20 + lamppost . i always lose to him by 1-2 lamp post man..starting first gear i always lead by a bit(10rpm).2nd gear onwards he overtake me then after tt cant catch up him 1. realli feel my factory jet is weak man.. :(

bro what is ur sprocket ratio.........u want to play lampost u need pick up man.........not distance

perhaps ur friend cbr got step up his ratio

rvf original ratio is 38/15. thats about 2.5

normally for bikes it is at 3. if drop also 2.7 or so. what rvf drop so chia lat coz the gear ratio is horrific. it is very close low ratio.

by the way, the resistor has to be rated 10w
