just went to pasir gudang today... i must say track is really a whole new experience for me... very tiring... and i guess not too bad for a 1st timer to get his knee pad scar-ed by the track today.. looking at the burned tires n scared kneepad its just a satisfaction to me... those who have not tried please try.

Bro, you were in full suit? Can bring me next time? I need some guidance and instructions on proper postures and techniques. Apparently it's not up to par. But kudos to you to scrapping that knee slider. Awesome feeling, super exciting, I know how you feel!

haha ok, taken wif a pinch of salt n pepper! =) guess our engines r really road hardy beast capable of churning out their worth in e most harshest of conditions. well, i'll b out of action 4 a couple of days... turns out my oil leak really is from e gear box housing meaning i gotta drop my whole engine n replace e gasket, changing e bearings n wat knot at e same time... total damage 600 bucks... there goes e growth n share package... haizzz

What's the breakdown of the damage? $600? Probably, atleast half goes to labour I believe at TT. :)

What bearings are you replacing?

have anyone actually check with weda how much parts are going for? coz ive bought some small parts from them before and the price is like a direct conversion from what u see on pjme. like, main jets are 6bucks a pop, pilot jet 14bucks, top end gasket cost me 36bucks less the exhaust gasket. seems like they're resonably priced, no? so means these shops out there really chop carrot head with these prices.

haha i saw what u type yesterday at FB. today once we reach the guy working there told my fren what happen immediately. the wild boar was cleared as i did not see any body lying around during my warm-up lap. heard from the guy the wild boar suffered a terrible death and some parts went into the sprocket n chains. one thing sure is irritating the birds just know when to fly when i'm on the tarmat, twice i almost hit the birds crossing in front of me. scraping my knee slider was definitly a experience and satisfaction for me.

bro they took about half an hour to clear the black babi immd after the incident...even if there were body parts, the vultures or hyenas would have devoured them..hahaha... the black babi weigh in at 67KG..she/he rammed straight into the Ducati smashing his/her face n bleeding non stop ,blood pouring out of its mouth..about the Ducati, not only remains were found in the spocket n chains ..the front rotor were dented...

the birds on the tarmac is nothing compared to birds flying low level just across yer face but that happens only on weekdays when theres not much riders, guess the non stop loud noises during trackdays scares them, theres 1 time where the bird smack right into a helmet...another time a lady rider hit a baby eagle also at T5... on sunday there was a black cobra crossing the straight between T2 n T3 which gave a FZ1 rider a frickking scare...

btw scrapping knee is def one helluva exp and its addictive but try not scrape knee all the time...its damn good for photography shots ... u sud try thinking on how to get around the corners as quickly as possible n the fastest u get ,scraping knee will come naturally.. during races..the only corner i get a complete knee down is at T3 nT8..the rest are just getting around the corners as fast as i possibly can, meaning getting my bike upright quickly so i can get on full gas in double quick time...

I think you can forget about getting Lawrence to come. For the past few years, his bike isnt ready. Forks leaking, tyres need to change, blah, blah. The best he did was reach 2nd link and realise his radiator was leaking coolant. Right Lawrence?? I'm still waiting for you to join the SMSA sponsored race! :)

Wow. Touche bro... Touche.

Now got new excuse: am running in my bike! hahhaaha

My trackdays are fraught with disasters, like my DIY sessions. Like how it always rains on DIY day, Track Days always have an element of surprise for me. Something always goes wrong for me.

That's why I will be towing my bike to PG from now on.

btw Vik, what are your current settings for the 34mm race carb? I'm thinking of changing to a 45 Slide, but leaving the DP266 atomizer as it is. Tried the DP264 and it's too lean.

vyruz, I will be back from Paris on Monday. The bike will get picked up on Monday evening. Then pick us up on Tue morning. Cya onboard the van bro!

To ALL RIDERS,

If you need any Dainese products, please PM me asap. It's cheaper to buy in Europe. Cheers!

probably after a new more visit i will be faster at corners but for a 1st timer all i did is get the lines, sort of memories the bends n try to see how low i can go. as for timing, it will come soon... track is addictive, tiring and it wear my bt090 pretty much.

yes ..u doing it the correct way...feel the track, memorise the turns and all but about the part on how low u can go..hmmm...thats when yr knees comes in..its sort of a gauge on how low u know yer bike is and also a tool to kick yr bike up if she happens to slide..for now screw the lap times,do the basics first, get the basic track lines first (not race lines) then u sort out yer preferred lines,

remember again its not about how low u go around a bend, its about how fast u go around a bend..n to go around it fast,... hmmmm..tell u when we meet at the track

track is fricking addictive...tiring..without a doubt... tyres...its about the pressure u using, can tell from the wear on yer tyres whether pressure is correct ..the type of tyre u use also plays a part.. 090 i can really tell cause i never use it unless i see the wear maybe can tell abit

power 1s, 003, alpha 10,12s... this i tried n tested so can give my 2cts worth...

Matey, can you PM me your 2 cents on the Alpha 10s? I'm running with them at the moment. Was wondering what pressure to set for track. I have 26psi front and 29psi back for the street. Should I drop a few psi?

hmmm bro..yer street pressure is more like for the track ... u sud be running higher...maybe some of the dudes here can let u know what pressure u sud be running on... for the track? will tell u when we meet up next week...for me ..im frickking lazy so i ride with like whatever reasonable psi n never bother to check till i hit the track again...anyway i ride like a frickking rite old patsy on the road so street pressure dont matter much till i feel steering or handling feels strange then i do a once over... im a disgrace to the RS on the street,i do get the occassional gilera n kr and whatever revving at me but do i give a sh*t? NOOOOOOO! RS is a track biased bike... i leave the streets to the wannabe track bikes..

Quite ugly but as long as it's functional and serves its purpose, I guess you shouldn't care if someone like me thinks its ugly. hahahahahaha....

Oh by the way, I tracked down the last few remaining stock of the Metrakit radiator in UK. Being sold for £350 each before shipping. I'm waiting for your price quotation on the custom built radiator (must be very clean, shiny aluminum like those in motorcrossers!) before I try to bargain the price down for two, since it's just you and me getting them.

Let me know soon yeah? THX
